Back in the abandoned factory, Kinelt's heavy rain lashes against the tin roof. The man on Verank's table screams again. I turn to the idiot, "Verank! Shut him up!" His shoulders hang with a meat cleaver in hand, "But the screams!" "And I need to think!" A ding comes from the machine. I lean over and take out a vial. I swish it around. It's still not pure!? I groan and walk up to the table, "What will it take!?" I peel the tape off his mouth and he looks into my eyes with fear, "Come on! I'll do anything!" "If you can tell me why this serum isn't ending up pure, sure!" His eyes wander as his lips tremble, "Oh no. Please!" I sigh as Verank holds up a flamethrower, "He breaks free, burn him and don't stop till the tank's empty." He screams as I inject him with the serum. Verank screams with a smile, "That's a delicious voice!" His eyes roll back as black ooze squirts from his elbows, he thrashes at his restraints and squeals. He goes limp and cries uncontrollably. "Baby, is that you?" I grasp the table.
Verank scoffs as I smirk, "What do you see?!" He doesn't even care to look my way, "I-I missed you, every day. I tried to adopt children, but they were never you." What the hell? "K-kidnap? No- I would never-" But he did. I snicker, "Verank, we're keeping this one." "Awww, but it's broken! Why?" I smirk, "I've never seen something with this kind of effect." I pull a needle out my coat and draw some blood. Black ooze, huh? I let it swish around, "Do we have something to analyze blood?" "We have no money." I groan, "It's time to get some then. Where's a drug dealer?" He smiles, "The Oniel district. They're still rebuilding a lot of it, too bad supplies are cut off." I march off, "Alright. I'll be back. Just don't kill him." He groans loud as I push the big rusty factory door open.
The rain and wind pushes against me as I trudge out. This planet should be dead with all this rain. Barely any sunlight shines through, how do the plants grow? At least there will be- I look into an old, unsealed sewer drain. Mushrooms protrude from the grate.
I run until I can’t anymore. My battered lungs can't take it anymore.
I then keep trudging through the torrential rain, Tamslin pops into my head, she’s smiling. My eyes grow heavy as countless angels in chains plead for my help. Gladius lies dead on the command center’s floor. Tesyn gets sliced in half again and I fall to my knees. A huge weight slams down on my heart as I look at my reflection, fake demonic skin and horns to match.
I huff and puff as my hand grasps my coat tight. Floodlights come on and the district comes to life. In the reflections, workers scramble to get things done. I take a deep breath and get to my feet. I smirk and shove my hands into my pockets and march on. I barge into a seemingly abandoned building. Water pours from the ceiling as two men from The Council raise their guns, “Who the fuck are you?” I step up, “Hi, drugs?”
“You the army?” I sigh, “Do I look like an idiot?” They smile, “Yeah. What’s with the tacky coat?” “A thief’s gotta have deep pockets, right?” The other nods up, “What you wanna buy from the Council?” With a long stretch of my arms, I groan as my brain gives me a nice tingle. “What do you got?” “Coke, Mary Jane, H. Hell, we got everything.” “Ooh, Heroin?” One nods, “Yeah. We’re the only suppliers here, feel me?” “Alright, can you show me how it works?” “Heat it up and eat it.” The other one laughs.

I sigh, “Alright guys, I’ll be back soon with the scratch.” They nod.
I waltz around the outside of the building. My eyes turn to the unprotected switch. It would be unsafe due to all the water. Nah, I'm gonna pull it. I slap some rubber gloves on and flip it off. I run to a trash can, pull it close to the door and hop in. One of them creak the door open and their footsteps pound into the puddles, passing me. He shouts, “Oh come on!” I peek out with a smirk, he grabs the lever and tries pushing it up with one hand. He tries and tries, finally he rests his other hand on the switch and just like that, his body seizes. He couldn't let go if he tried. No screaming for help, just silent suffering as his neurons fry. I hop out and kick his side. He splashes into a puddle and groans in a daze. “Where’s the drugs?!” He lies down shaking in pain, out comes a weak mumble, “You don’t fuck with-“ “Don’t care!” I smile and stomp on his head. I grab his gun with a smile.
“Hey! Hakim! Where are-“ I raise my gun and cock it, “Where are the drugs?” He slowly puts his hands up, “C’mon man. Don’t do this.” I rub the barrel against his back, “You want to end up dead?!” I take his gun and push him, “Take me to them, now!” "Ok!" He opens the door and the lights are still off. I smirk, "Was it just the two of you?" "You know it wasn't." My heart sinks as flashlight come on. "Get his ass!" I hug the guy close and shoot at them. I walk him and we step through a stream of water falling through. By the time we pass through, they had all fallen. I let him take a nice look at his buddies as we pass, "You bastard!" I yawn, "Good to know I've got them all." He watches their blood mix with the water coated floor, I have to sigh. "The drugs?" He reluctantly picks up a flashlight and leads me to the back.
He points to the bag of drugs, "Right there." I smirk, "Goodbye." He shouts, "You are not going to kill me!" I chuckle as his gaze pierces through the darkness, "I've got a boy! A wife! Like hell do I deserve a bullet!" I shrug, "And you know what you signed up for." "I had no damn choice!" He holds the flashlight up to his hand, a brick flies out the wall and cracks, coiling around his hand. He holds his palm to me and I shoot him. He takes the bullet to the hand and grabs the gun. He jerks it away and I run. Bullets whizz past and my back hugs the doorway. I gulp and peek around the corner, a flash, then an explosion, I hug the wall again and a bullet cracks into the doorframe.
The gun clicks and I turn the corner with a wide smirk. "Respect. But I need those drugs." "Go fuck yourself!" I sigh, "I wasn't going to kill you. Are those drugs really worth protecting?" He frowns, then forces a fierce stare again. "You don't want to- Ok, who's you're boss's boss?" He takes a step back, "Don't." "If you don't tell me, I will kill you." He smiles as another brick smacks against his hands. "And I'm offering a better way of things. More civil." He looks down as I insist, "Deal of a lifetime, my friend." He looks up at me with a little anger in his eyes, "Idi Bokassa." "Thanks. Now I need those drugs to screw over your boss, so I can get close to Idi." He gulps, "I've been screwed over by people like you." I scoff, "I respect the hustle. Also, we both bleed red." I squint, "You DO bleed red, right?" He puts up his fists and I raise my palms, laughing lightly, "I meant the literal law defying flying bricks thing. Chill." He lowers his fists, "I could've shot you in the head, but I didn't." I walk up and he makes way, I zip up the bag and sling it over my shoulder. "I'll remember you, your name?" He sighs deep, "Deron Dion. You better not screw me." I nod and march out, "Hey! You didn't tell me your name!" I smirk. Idi Bokassa. Wonder what kind of man you are.
