Puppers faithfully follows Jan and I through the heavy rain, I sneeze and Jan looks back, "What? Are you sick?" I try to speak, but another sneeze is coming. I sneeze and a mist spews out of me, "Christ. You're going to give us away." The rainwater helps lubricate my nose as I wipe. He shakes his head, "We're going into the only command center the military has left on Kinelt and you have a cold!?" I take a deep breath and shrug, "I'll be ok. it must be allergies." A fog enters my head as we approach. I'm yanked behind something a spotlight shines down, "I'm not getting caught because of you. Stay here."

Opening my eyes, the back of my head bangs against the boxes. A spotlight passes over as I warm myself up a little. It passes and my eyes widen, where could I sneak in? There's barbed wire welded to a large vent, a large, closed gate able to survive a missile barrage, the spotlight forces me to stop looking around. I find myself clutching the acorn necklace, no matriarch in my ear, telling me what to do. I can't stay here forever. I take out my knife and wait for the light to pass again. It passes and I spring up out of a small puddle. My boots stomp through the thick layer of water, my back quickly hits the wall of the large fortress. Why did I just do this? If I get caught- No! I quickly run towards the gate, but a dark figure rushes behind me. I quickly turn and it's Jan and Puppers, "There's no way in. They have it locked up tight."

That vent grabs my attention again, "Where are you looking?" "If something threw itself inside-" Puppers growls at me, "It was a stupid idea." Jan sighs, "We'll figure something else out."
