Aysla leaped forward at high speeds, reaching for Lisa’s neck with her right hand. As she did this, a lot of codecs were formed behind Lisa — all pulsating in a unique red glow. They formed into a massive net that collapsed upon Aysla’s frame at fast speeds.
“Heh.” Aysla grinned and her figure flickered. In the next instance, her claws were only moments away from rending Lisa’s neck. As Lisa stepped back to dodge, her claws missed her neck — tearing through her cheeks without obtaining a solid grip.
Arthrax ran to finish off the deal, his sword glinting in a cold light as he swung it around, aiming to slice Lisa in halves. Lisa only grinned in response, all her codecs formed a wall before her as the hero’s sword landed. There was a bright explosion of light as she was pushed back.
“Take your stupid fight…” Arthrax frowned as he glared down upon the retreating Lisa, “Another place!” he dashed forward, vanishing in thin air as the tails — codecs — stabbed in his direction. He appeared behind Lisa and an invisible energy blasted her to the side.
Lisa spun around and so did her codes, dodging Aysla’s descending claws. She swaggered to the side, her eyes gleaming in a vicious light as she stretched her arms forth, and under her command a blur of codecs lunged for the duo.
Aysla rolled to the side and Arthrax leapt back. They paused for a second then dashed forward at high speeds, Lisa observed the duo as they charged in her direction and grinned. She swung her hands to the side and her followed mimicked the sudden motion — knocking into Aysla.
As Aysla staggered, Arthrax took the lead — bursting with strength as he sliced through the web of codecs effortlessly. Lisa stepped back, waving her hands frantically as she grew confused with the hero closing the distance between them in milliseconds! Then, he vanished!
All she saw next was a bright flash of light.

“It should be safe now…” Mylos assured the two, patting Karen’s shoulder. He took the lead and stepped out through the door, looking around calmly. He noticed nothing out of the ordinary but he felt something strange. His gaze hovered on the hole through the wall.
“That was not there before.” He mused as he stepped back, unsheathing his blade. In that instant, a blur shot out of the hole and crashed into the wall. He stared to see Sylvia standing there, her right leg raised and pressing hard against the head of a demon.
Her eyes gleamed in a bright light and her fingers dripped with blood. She pressed hard until the head of the demon was crushed beneath her feet, its shrill screams of anguish ceasing as the life was snatched from its body in a mere second. Its blood splattering across the walls.
Another blur shot out through the hole and Sylvia turned around to face it. Her hand moved at a fast speed, and she caught the blur. A helpless demon was revealed in her grasp split seconds later, it clawed and struggled fiercely until its neck exploded in her grasp. Its head and body crashing coldly.
“Mommy!” Karen ran to Sylvia’s side and hugged her tight. Mylos watched with his gaze growing still, observing the area calmly with his sword remained drawn. Alissa stepped outside calmly, and he nodded to her before approaching the hole through the wall.
Behind it were numerous dead demons with a certain part of their bodies completely destroyed, their blood soaking the grass field and the tall building walls. He wondered why they were putting in so much effort to claim Alissa and how much of an asset she could be for him.
He stepped back and turned to the door. He needed to deal with this situation quickly so he can continue with his goals. He wanted to help his sibling in defeating the receptionist but he decided all would be best if he didn’t butt into the situation.

Aysla was quite strong and with the Hero there he would become nothing short of an obstacle. A few thoughts ran through his mind on what to do, but he shot them all down. He could not run off to finish the mission alone now that he had acquired a third party.
Normally he would have dropped her like a dead fly — Alissa he meant, not Aysla this time — but the concept of taking something crucial to a god’s plan was wonderful! He wanted to know what was so special about her, and how he could use it for himself.
Going out blind would be risking that leverage and Mylos could not bear the thought of it! If she was not here then of course, he would have taken the chance to dump Aysla here and now. Not like he requested her guidance in the first place.
Boom!
Hearing the loud sound made him frown suddenly. He imagine the chaos that wound ensure if a single mistake was made on Aysla’s end. He hoped that she would have better chances of not making a fool out of herself with the hero there, as errors could be deadly!
Bang!
But the curiosity bit him hard, and he struggled to keep calm. He could be out there beating the living daylights out of that receptionist, yet here he was playing it cool. He was terrible at playing the cool guy, especially when he wanted to fight.
“Calm down” — Bang! — “Mylos, they’ll handle the situation nicely.” Sylvia shielded Karen under a wing, glancing around the area calmly. Alissa was in deep thoughts, staring at her palms calmly and clenching them after a few seconds.
“Handle nicely?” he facepalmed, “Of course, they are going to handle it nicely. They are two of the strongest amongst us there and that is more than enough. If my sister went alone and lost, then I will be disgusted with her existence for as long as I live.”
“Nice way of saying you’d be disappointed.” Alissa spoke calmly. She was speaking a lot more than earlier, and the confusion in her eyes had begun to settle. It was as if she had finally settled a conflict she has been having since she came here.
“Heh…” Mylos scoffed, folding his arms before his chest and lowering his gaze to think. With his head bowed in deep thoughts, he waited calmly. As a demon, he needed to be prepaid for anything when battling against unknown foes. Who knew the cards hidden under their sleeves?

“Quite a lot actually…” Arthrax sighed as he flicked his blade calmly, the decapitated bodies of a dozen plus demons scattered around him. The receptionist drew a trail of blood as she crawled off, most of her limbs were severed and struggled to regenerate.
“Like I mentioned before, they overestimate themselves by believing they underestimate enemy forces. The foolishness of believing that they could have done better in a different situation…” Aysla wore a detestable expression on her face, “It is quite revolting to say the least…”
She stepped forward, her hands folded into fists. The aura emanating from her grew stronger, it was so overbearing that Lisa froze — unable to move. There was only fear in her eyes as Aysla took calm steps, walking past Arthrax to hover over the struggling Lisa.
“Your lives are meaningless…” in an instant, Aysla‘s leg was buried into Lisa’s chest — stomping hard — and she hunched over to stare into the eyes of the receptionist, “Yet, your existence nothing short of an annoyance. Goodbye, strange woman with weird tail like limbs shooting out of her back.”
“The name is Lisa!” the receptionist grinned as she grabbed Aysla’s leg. There was a bright burst of light that blinded the duo — Aysla and Arthrax — for a short while. As they recovered, Aysla felt a weight vanish from beneath her. She was stunned for a few seconds.
“She is running in that direction…” Arthrax calmly pointed to the shadows cast by the numerous buildings in the distance and before he could drop his hand, Aysla leaped from her position. Her one wing flapped once, and she was propelled forward at a fast speed.
“In your dreams to embarrass me before my younger brother!” she reached out with her right hand, stretching forth her claws as they grew further in length. Her gaze locked on to Lisa, and her eyes exploded in a fierce purple light.
Lisa turned around, looking over her shoulders with her life flashing before her eyes. The claws grabbed the back of her neck, burying themselves into her flesh as she staggered. The pain ripped a few nerves as she felt her skin getting peeled away from her bones.
Before she could tear a scream, Aysla ripped her head from her neck and as the blood sprayed, painting red in the pitch black of the night. Her limp body staggered forward, rolling before landing on the ground — lifeless. In moments, that body was soaked in a pool of its blood.
Aysla stood over the body, holding the head of the receptionist in one hand. She tightened her grip on the head until it was crushed. After moments of silence, she loosened her fingers, standing calmly as the blood and gore dropped slowly off her fingertips.
