Mylos rushed back into the hotel. He entered through the front door, gave the receptionist a glance, then he sprinted up the stairs. He didn't really believe Karen at first, but as he managed to get away in one piece…
He believed he should forget it, all that mattered now is his safety. If there were others like her Father concealing their presence, then it would be unwise of him to remain here and wait for one of them to attack.
He reached the door to his room, and dropped his bag to unlock the door. As he inserted the key into the hole, then twisted out of habit — his heart skipped a beat and he dragged the key out and took a step back.
Mylos raised his leg and kicked the door down, bursting into his own room like a madman. To his visible surprise, there was no one in the room. Although he noticed that, Mylos remained sceptical of something being wrong.
He grabbed the bag of clothes he'd dropped, then shut the door without locking it. As soon as he'd secured the bag, he overturned it's contents on the bed then walked to his trusty backpack.
Looking at the amount of clothes, and his small bag, he knew that it wouldn't fit unless he relieved some clothing and accessories. That would definitely downplay the act of him risking his safety to get them in the first place.
"This is not the time to mess around, someone entered this room. There is a strange aura emanating inside here that wasn't there before, and I can't understand it." The confused expression on his face grew as Mylos thought to himself about why the door was unlocked.
He thought that it was his sister that must have opened it, but there was something strange. The strangest thing about this “break-in” was how neat everything was. The room was just as he'd left it before leaving yesterday.
The furniture, the mats, the clothing — everything was unnaturally clean. If Aysla had wandered in here, there'd be something off with the room showing what she had done here, maybe moved chairs or roughened bed?
What he saw here was like someone broke in, did some unknown act, then tried their best to conceal their break into his room. It was too clean, snd Mylos noticed it with just a quick glance through the room.
"Hmm…"
Mylos walked into the bathroom. Everything was left as it were yesterday, not a single thing used. The door was also locked properly, and his clothes were stacked in the positions he'd left them.
Taking off his shirt, he grabbed a second from the pile stacked besides the bathtub on a thin desk and wore it without hesitating. After wearing the shirt, Mylos lifted the others and began taking them out the bathroom.
This was his second day here, just a say left till his stay in this hotel expired. Mylos believed that it wouldn't be wise to remain here and be endangered when he could leave now without suffering a lot of losses.
"Where do you think you're going?"
Huh?
Mylos turned around to see a boy his age staring back at him. As soon as their eyes met, Mylos dashed forth, attackimg without hesitation. He didn't even give the newcomer time to introduce himself.
Mylos' fingers clawed at the boy, moving at a fast speed as they reached him. The boy just raised a brow with the claws just inches away from his face, then he simply tilts his body to the side, dodging Mylos' attack completely.

Seeing Mylos revealing a opening, he raised his leg and kicked — aiming for Mylos' exposed abdomen. He was equally fast with his attacks, his movements difficult for the naked eyes to follow with ease.
Noticing the attack, Mylos pivoted his heel and twisted his upper body along, turning to face the boy. In a split second after that, he raised a hand and caught the kick of the younger boy — tightening his grip.
Pulling the boy into attack range with the caught leg, he punched forward, landing a hit that sent the newcomer into the air. Before he could land to the ground, Mylos grabbed the newcomer and threw him at a wall.
Bang!
The room shook as the young boy crashed into the wall with his back. Cracks spread from the point of impact, a thin crater left on the wall. The young boy just stood in the mess, his head bowed down to conceal his face.
"I knew it. I nearly forgot that Heroes and Hunters were not my only enemies in this world." Mylos took a stance, cracking his neck as he prepared himself for a long fight with the demon that broke into his room.
No matter where he moved, this was the issue he faced that he considered most annoying. The fact that it must be the efforts of an uncle to thwart his pitiful self, wasn't anything short of annoying.
"So, you're the one I'm supposed to kill? Go grab your blade, your barehanded techniques are pathetic." The demon chuckled, lifting his head to stare directly at the prepared Mylos, "This wouldn't take time."
Mylos watched with a frown as the demon grew a horn out of his forehead, it's eyes turning a bright red as the whites disappeared completely. It's short canines grew into huge fangs as it pulled itself out of the wall.
"Revealing your demon form so early in the battle? I've barely used ten percent of my power." Mylos taunted as he dashed forward, his eyes gleaming in a silver light as he moved at a faster speed than before.
The demon roared, dashing towards Mylos without any hesitation. Although it was slower in comparison, it had improved in the aspect of speed compared to earlier in their short exchange.
"Haha!"
Both demons punched at each other's face, landing hits that shook the walls of the room. Before the demon was able to follow up, Mylos landed another hit on it's face, causing the demon to take a step in retreat.
In response to Mylos' attack, the demon followed with a second punch. Unlike before upon landing, this sent the unprepared Mylos skidding backwards with his face bent to the side, his teeth knocked in.
Mylos spat a mouthful of blood. Although he wasn't a bit surprised by how strong the punch had become, he was not pleased getting punched so hard that his head gets bent to a side. It was quite annoying.
Mylos straightened his head, his eyes growing cold. The second after he'd straightened his view, he dashed forth, closing into the prepared demon. He weaved through all the attacks raining upon him, focusing on evasion.
When he got close enough, he thrust his arm forward as his speed suddenly shot up again, his hand aimed at the demon's heart. Just an inch away from impaling it with his fist, the demon twisted it's body unnaturally.
The unnatural twist of the upper body at the last minute allowed the demon to dodge the attack completely. The gleam in its eyes growing radiant as it countered with the fastest kick it had unleashed in their exchange.
Mylos tanked the kick with his arm, this time, he didn't get thrown off balance. He'd already closed in, and was not ready to get himself cast to the side so easily. If the enemy wanted to escape, they needed to exert effort!
"Try harder!"
Mylos pushed the kick to the side, then switched from a swift impale to the descending claw. Since he could not one shot the demon so easily, he would try chipping at it's health while he could.
Noticing what Mylos was trying to do, the demon took a defensive stance and began to block the descending claws with its arm. It's forearm was shredded just some seconds into it's defence, bleeding profusely.
“Bastard!"
The demon roared, kicking Mylos to the side after he'd gotten used to the attack pattern. Now, his arms were ripped open, struggling to patch itself up as the demon chased the soaring Mylos.
As soon as Mylos landed into a wall, the demon slams it's hand into his face — causing the wall behind Mylos to explode, and Mylos to be sent soaring further away from the enraged demon.
"I'll kill you!" Mylos roared as he forced himself to come to a halt mid air, crashing into a bed. Standing to his feet again, Mylos dashed forth angrily, "Weakling!"
