Today we will take a break from the main narrative and explore the darkest demons of Mylos’ experiments on Alissa. Sigh. This will be difficult to bear but this phase of their relationship as master and disciple must be established. Disciple here is the softer way of writing — Well, forget it.
Mylos stood before Alissa, willing her to stand in one spot. He grabbed his notes and scribbled away on them calmly as she watched. She lowered her eyes to the variety of tools Mylos laid on the massive table at the far end of the room.
Log 1: The target struggles hard against my ‘will’ on her movements. It creates a numbing feeling in my brain and makes it difficult for me to breathe. It seems that the struggle of the target can be quite a pain for the master to handle.
“Stretch out your hand…” Mylos spoke calmly and she obediently followed the command. He was calm, lifting his sword to the sky, “Now we will test your regeneration speed — with a lost limb.” With a vicious curve, his blade came crashing down and her eyes widened in shock.
The blade came to a collapsing halt just atop her skin, and Mylos paused. He raised his glance to observe her expression — shock, fear and confusion — and decided that she was either a very good actor or had not expected him to stop when he did.
Log 2: Even when endangered by the commander himself, the target follows the order completely. No matter how much of a threat is posed, the target faces it head-on. This is useful information.
“I apologise for that, Alissa. I also apologise for this.” He swung his blade, and her head was sent rolling down the ground. He stood calmly as he observed her body — it did not grow limp. Before his very eyes, a new head grew out of her neck as the old head decayed at a terrifying rate.

Mylos was stunned.
Log 3: Practically amazing! Decapitating the target does not render the body inanimate. This is the first weakness of a demon exploited by hunters, and the absence of this weakness makes for a good surprise facing hunters!
He folded his hands, then dropped his blade before Alissa’s leg, “Pick up the blade…” and she picked it up. He added, “Throw it away.” And she threw it away, then he smirked and made a specific command, his eyes gleaming in a cold light,
“Use the tip of the blade to draw a heart shape on your palm then use that palm to slap my face.” — okay that was very specific. She did as she was ordered until she had to slap his face. She stood in silence, unable to move. He was stunned, “Why are you not slapping me in the face?”
“I can’t do it…” she answered honestly.
Log 4: the target overrules orders to harm the master in any manner or form. It gives a sense of assurance that she would not try to assassinate me in my sleep. Weird orders are obeyed with no objection.
Mylos made her do a few more things to test her limits, like lifting a truck which she did without stress — to pushing her off rooftops and having her crash to the ground. Apart from orders to harm the master, she could also force herself to overrule some that seemed quite emotional.
Log 5: she refused to discuss her past, overriding that order by remaining silent. She nearly went as far as to biting her own tongue, but a swift restraining order prevented that. To avoid her suicidal attempts, the master decided to drop it.
The next moments after these were the limitations test. How fast she was, how much of a punch she could give and receive, how vicious her mindset was and more weird orders. It took hours for a conclusion to be drawn and by that time, the room was reduced to ruins.
Mylos took his pen and paper, and scribbled down the final log:
Final Log: Cannot lift more than 6000 kg — two trucks at once — in current state. She can eat the maximum force of his punches and recover after a while. She can twist her limbs to unnatural angles on command. Strong principles overrule orders to steal or kill perceived innocent humans.
