Chapter 65. Meetings.

“Firstly everyone I would like to explain that I am a reincarnator as most of you already know. It’s not just one world I've reincarnated across however. So far, has been two. The first world I came from was one of technological miracles. There is no such thing as cultivation on that world at all, it is only told of in stories for entertainment or in legends. There were only normal people and yet we can live up to 120 years of age, at least when I left. Yet even without any cultivation whatsoever we could live to that age and even breach the sky. We could travel away from our world and on to others near our own star.

We could give people new artificially produced limbs that worked not with any sort of magic power but with what I can best describe here as controlled lightning. We learned nearly everything about the human body and its intricacies, we knew how to look at things so small that even a finely tuned soul sense might not be able to see it. Even now my divine sense can make out the individual cells in my body and various things in the air here. However there are things smaller than even them by thousands of times. On this first world we knew how to look at them by an aura of sorts that they gave off. There were few places on that world normal every day people couldn't go. From the deepest depths of the oceans to the highest mountains we had as simple mortals with no cultivation to speak of thoroughly conquering our world.

In this world I was one of the people who understood more than most, I was studying to become one of the leaders in this information. Someone who found new things and answered old questions while coming up with new ones to ask in the process. We were called scientists, in truth I miss that world a great deal. However, even while on that world, even while knowing as much as I did and knowing how much there was still to learn, my heart is that of a cultivator. I love combat, martial arts, profound skills, and everything even remotely related. Even with all of my old memories sealed before I woke up recently you all saw how I would fervently read books related to it and had an insatiable need to learn.

That world is my foundation, all of the science and technology I learned the inner workings of allow me hypothesize and create new cultivation methods. The whirlwind arts I gave to all of you is one of my self created arts in fact. The worlds mysteries fascinate me and cultivation drives me forward. On this first world I used my knowledge and ideas of how martial energies would have a world to create the cultivation art I use. It is called the True Void Arts. It has transformed my souls and my martial energy completely. It’s the reason I died on the last world as well as why I was able to reincarnate at all. I know what all of you might be thinking if your heads have stopped spinning, no the heavens do not in fact tolerate this. They sent a heavenly avatar to kill me last time.

I am currently under a seal that will only last until I think roughly the aura assimilation stage. This seal hides me from heaven's notice, allowing me to stay here and cultivate normally so long as I don't do anything overly noticeable to the heavens. Now the reason I told all of you this is because I have recently taken in a person who has had a miserable last few years and has nowhere to go. He cultivates a strange art that makes it so that the more he reads and learns and understands about a specific element the more easily he can work with it. The more he learns the greater his cultivation grows, I plan to make him the family librarian and would like to build an underground library with formations I will lay down personally.

I don't want all of you to be overly shocked by some of the information in these books that I will have him write down about the knowledge I give to him. That is primarily why I called this meeting, to have everyone make arrangements for my friend, his name is Rhyyth. As a side note, I'm beginning to suspect the hand of fate here a little about all of my friends having double letters. What are everyones thoughts?”

There was no answer, everyone was staring at Naath in a complete daze at all of the information they had just taken in. Well everyone except for a single person who stepped forward from the crowd after about 10 seconds of silence. Julia stepped forward and smiled brightly at Naath as she spoke.

“Any friend of the young master can be considered a member of the family! I’ve helped watch the young master for 10 years now. I know just how exceptional he is and I trust his judgement.”

She said it with a firm and happy tone. Naath’s mother snapped out of her daze at this moment and smiled brightly as Julia and said.

“Yes, that's exactly right! So what if we just learned some heaven shaking secrets?! He is still Zhu Naath, a member of our family. He is one of my precious sons and we will absolutely stand by him no matter what, even if the heavens want his soul they will have to go through all of us first!”

This snapped everyone out of their daze completely and the room erupted into agreement and cheers. The meeting was called to an end leaving everyone feeling proud to be part of the Zhu household. Rhyyth was quickly given a room and Naath’s father met with the king shortly after for funds to dig an underground library for the Zhu family. Later that afternoon members of the Zhang family came to the Zhu family household, it was the head of the family along with his children and grandchildren. There were three grandchildren and they all stepped in perfect unison as they moved. The head was old but he walked without a care in the world, by his martial energy you could tell he had reached the energy assimilation realm.

For the Zhu family it was Naath’s parents and his brothers as well as himself who were there for the meeting. Everyone quickly sat down and Julia was invited to pour tea for everyone. It was the Zhang family trio that spoke first, they all three stood up at the same time without being prompted and directly apologised to Zhu Leng for their many transgressions against him. He smiled and accepted the apology moving past it as if nothing happened. This made all three of them sigh in relief in their hearts, they were worried he would hold a grudge and their father would punish them further.

After this everyone got pleasantries out of the way, things seemed like they would go smoothly until the Zhang family head looked at Naath and asked.

“Isn’t he a little too young to be at a meeting like this?”

Before anybody else could even think to reply Naath simply smiled at him, put his hand on his own chest and said “reincarnator.”

The Zhang family head and his son felt like bombs had gone off in their own minds and went still, paling slightly. The Zhang trio however had no idea what it meant and were confused about their father, and grandfather's reactions. The Zhang family head said “Ah, this old man Zhang Tao has been rude. I apologize, please, continue then.”

Naath smiled and spoke up.

“Thank you senior Zhang, firstly I'd like to say that you shouldn't let the news of my unique circumstances leak out. Lest the royal family suddenly find a need for your head while not attached. Secondly I’d like to state that this whole idea for a dojo to bring our two families together was my idea and the martial arts will be supplied by me personally. In fact they are ones that I myself have devised in one of my prior lives. I know it will sound like bragging or like it goes against the heavens but to me formulating new cultivation formulas and methods isn't anything particularly hard. The profound meaning is usually the hardest part and even that normally takes me only a week or so to devise and to comprehend.

Now then, the terms for our joint families dojo. First I'll say it right out of the gate, we will split the profits 50/50. I will take the position of the head of the dojo for now in order to guide everyone. I am willing to teach the Zhang family a set of martial arts called the whirlwind arts. It is nothing too profound on its own. It does however have a cultivation counterpart to it that works in tandem with it. When I make a cultivation method it is always a complete artform! Anything less isn't worth my time! In return for teaching the Zhang family this martial art our Zhu family will be willing to put in a good word with the emperor. Due to my unique circumstances our Zhu family has gotten quite close with the royal family after all.

It wouldn't be hard for us to put in a good word or two. Now about hierarchy and standing within the dojo and resources to be provided by families to build and support it. Due to what the Zhang family stands to gain we would like them to contribute more to the construction and after that we can negotiate the costs and resources needed for basic upkeep. Is there anything senior Zhang needs clarified?”

The Zhang family members looked at each other for a moment. Zhang Tao and his son nodded to each other and the trio just let out a breath in unison. After the silent agreement to whatever it was was unsaid Zhang Tao turned back to Naath and smiled wide as he said.

“The Zhang family would like to cover the complete costs of the construction of the dojo! In addition we would like to-”

Naath cut them off here and shook his head saying. “I’m sorry The Zhu family cannot agree to that. I know you all mean well but we can't just think of right now, what about our descendants or your. Who’s to say they won't get greedy and use your family paying for the full construction as a means to claim complete ownership and hurt the descendants of our Zhu family? Look at those three, a few years ago did they not challenge my older brother constantly to three on one fights? For no reason more than they didn't like our families ever so slightly higher standing?

I can't blame you for not picking up on it, I guess I’ll spell it out for you then. Why do you think I even mentioned that there was a cultivation half to the whirlwind arts? It is because I wanted to give your Zhang family a reason to show earnest loyalty and willingness to cooperate. I plan to reveal the cultivation method to you all if your behavior is good and earnest looking out not for your own interests but for the joint interest of both of our families and the good of the dojo. I’ll be blunt, I eventually want to turn this little dojo into my own sect. A massive undertaking to be sure, however I’ve always wanted to be a sect leader.”

Naath smiled seemingly imagining his future sect while understanding dawned on the Zhang family members. The Zhang family head realized Naaths intentions not only to work on the present situation for the two families and state of things but also looking very far into the future. Thinking on this and pondering how to also develop towards a better future and a way to ensure that their descendants wouldn't end up being greedy looked at the Zhang trio. As he did so, inspiration struck him! He smiled widely and said.

“The Zhang family agrees to your terms, I do have one request however. I would like these three to be instructors over the dojo, or at the very least have a place within its staff.”

Naath smiled knowingly, seemingly seeing right through the Zhang family head’s intentions and nodded his head saying.

“That can be done, but I will need to personally train the three of them in the whirlwind arts. I'm going to warn you though, the martial arts portion is brutal to train in, even for a cultivator. With my sealed cultivation I will prove it can be done as a mortal, if you guys fall behind me too much there will be strict and harsh repercussions in your training. It will get harder, not easier.”

The Zhang trio kneeled in front of Naath and simultaneously spoke, “disciples accept master”

Naath was flabbergasted ‘did I suddenly become a master with three new disciples out of nowhere, wait no four, Rhyyth. Sigh whatever, a sect has to start somewhere I guess.’
