Back on a distant world in a deep underground space Naath was sitting in front of a giant book. He approached it cautiously, after all this book was stored behind so much security, it had to be for a reason. Naath carefully let out his soul sense and martial sense to probe the book. No matter how he tried to look at the book though it just seemed like an ordinary book the only odd thing about it was its size. It was about the size of Naath and the pedestal it was on was massive. After finding nothing wrong with the book he walked up to it.
He went to open the book but when he tried he found that the front cover didn't budge even a little. Naath put a little force into it thinking maybe it was just really heavy, but no matter how much force he used the book refused to open no matter what. Naath scrunched his brows together and went deep into thought as he stared at the book. After thinking for a long time he seemed to have thought of something but was unsure of whether or not he should actually try it. He got up and this time used his martial energy to try to force it open. Still it didn't move in the slightest, letting out a breath it seemed like Naath had come to a decision.
He sat down cross legged in front of the book once more but this time he closed his eyes and focused on the back of his skull. After a moment an odd bump appeared just at the base of his skull. If one could see inside of Naaths body right now they would notice his skeleton slowly undergoing changes. This was not bone hardening or any cultivation technique. Naath was using his martial energy in his bones to alter his own body to be the same as the one he had on earth with a few exceptions. On his old body on earth he had hit his head many, many times as a child.
Due to this all of the nerves in his skull had receded to the base of it, after a certain time they developed into a pseudo, neuron cluster. This bump had increased his reaction time, his reasoning, his comprehension and various other things. But most importantly this bump became a major part of his body and was capable of housing an extra membrane that nobody else in the world had! After Naath finished altering this part of his body the migraine came. In his old life when the neuron cluster finished development it had affected his entire brain.
He had gotten a migraine so severe that even the strongest painkillers only dulled the pain slightly. His fever had been 110 and he was near death even his sense of time had slipped from him as he slipped in and out of consciousness. This migraine appeared again but now Naath could quell it with martial energy and make it tolerable. Remember though tolerable to Naath is his bones being turned to powder and restructured on a cellular level. Gritting his teeth through this pain Naath emptied his mind and activated a part of the empty soul method to make it so he couldn't feel the pain. After he had the pain under control he took a deep breath and released it.
His entire body relaxed, every single cell of his body felt a wave of calm. Naath was about to do something absolutely important to his future, he was about to start building his first true void membrane for this body. He calmed his body and focused his mind on this newly made bump and recalled the profundities of the true void. It comes from outside of all things, is the mother of all things. It can draw in, destroy, create, and store all things. He remembered what absolute nothing looked like, what the void of creation, destruction, and attraction looked like as well. With this he felt his own energy slowly convert into a trickle of true void energy and gather at this new bump.

He focused and first made the core of the membrane, the void of attraction, blacker than anything in existence, it draws in all things even light is not safe, not even minor radiations are safe. After this he surrounded the attractive void with true void, an energy that is completely invisible, no color, no feeling, no anything, literal nothing. He surrounded this with the void of destruction, a hazy grey color of void perfectly between black and white. This void would grind all things down into nothing and transform its energy to that of the true void. Finally Naath coated the destruction void with a layer of creation void. A white more pure than anything in any universe that exists, it is the purest essence of creation.
Due to Naath’s personal limits it could only recreate things he has already absorbed for now and until later stages of the true void arts this is limited to only energies. After Naath finished he urged the attractive void to begin drawing things in. The surrounding energies were drawn in rapidly and they passed through the creation layer and were ground down by the destruction layer and stored as true void energy inside of the true void layer. Then this energy went back out to all parts of the true void membrane and stabilized it and solidified it.
Naath gently let the membrane stop drawing things in and let out another long breath as he opened his eyes. He went to stand up but staggered, in making this true void membrane absolutely perfect he had used up most of the energy in his body. Letting out a breath he urged the true void membrane into action once again and drew in energy. This time he used his perception field to see how well it would work with his true void membrane. Naath casually chose a metal element near the planet's core and drew it in, it rapidly rushed into his true void membrane and converted into energy. In a matter of minutes Naath was full of energy again.
Finally he stood up without any issue and moved towards the book on the pedestal again. This time he urged the true void energy stored inside of the membrane to the tips of his fingers in order to absorb the energy of the book and see if there was anything unique about it. As he laid his finger on the book it reacted instantly, it popped right open and on the pages was. Nothing, it was blank?! Not believing his eyes, Naath flipped through the whole book several times and found absolutely nothing, no matter how he looked at it! Naath let out a breath of frustration, despite the fact that this book was empty, its mysteries had piqued his curiosity.
He waved his hand and put it in the spatial ring the king had given him. He would study this book in much greater depth later on when he had time, for now he had to return home and start cultivating, now that he had formed his first true void membrane it was time to experiment with what this new cultivation style of this world could do when used in conjunction with the true void arts.
Meanwhile the king had just received a report that someone had opened the underground secret chamber with the mysterious book. The kind didn't think much of it knowing it was probably Naath just exploring and looking around anyway. Besides that he let out a sigh and told the military guard.
“It’s fine we've studied that damned book for hundreds of years now and still know nothing more than we did when we found it. Maybe he will receive something from it, maybe he is the person that the book was waiting for? Either way he is the hope of our empire, leave it be and let him do as he pleases so long as he does not harm the empire he’s fine to do as he pleases. Honestly I don't know what my ancestors saw in that book, nobody can open it. Nobody can determine anything about it. Other than the fact that it absolutely refuses to open no matter what it's nothing special. We've put it through countless tests.
Dozens of soul masters have looked it over, hundreds of ‘knowledgeable’ sages, yet we still know absolutely nothing about that book. We sank fortunes enough to raise our empire and expand our borders to discover that we know nothing. Let him take it. It’s about time someone else took that damned thing away.”
