Naath continued on, “I learned that I was indeed chosen as a “child of the heavens” and I learned what that means. In my eyes, it is an unfair advantage I seem to have over others. My luck will always be good, I will always meet the best masters and find the greatest treasures because of it. However, it’s also a form of control, they get to throw things into my path so they can make me develop in the way they want so I accomplish the goal they want. They never asked however, and as you well know old rune more than anything in any world. What I hate most is being controlled.”
If the rune had a body at this point he would be grinning from ear to ear, his previous sense of panic and despair knowing he would perish were now completely washed away. He even spoke up regaining his arrogance and disdain saying “haha you heavens fucked up this time! Your chosen child hates being controlled by anything but his own hand!”
In response to this another six bolts of lightning came down empowering the serpents. Now the serpent had fully developed legs and wings, their scales were defined, they were now true lightning dragons.
Their power grew explosively and the cracks on the runes barrier spread all across it threatening to shatter it entirely. Naath observed this and sneered, he said out loud, “heavens, I accept your offer of luck and good fortune however, I refuse to be your puppet! This old rune has helped me out and I owe him a few favors, I cannot and will not simply allow you to kill him over some petty billions year old grudge. Fuck off!”
In response to this, the enormous black cloud in the sky trembled as if in rage and fear. Another bolt of lightning struck down this time at Naath’s feet, when the lightning struck the ground it formed into the silhouette of a human being.
All of the elders and sect masters watching this apocalyptic scene were at a complete loss, all of this had long since gone past their level of understanding. As the power of the lightning increased they could only retreat further and further away from it. They couldn't understand how Naath, a junior twelve years of age, could stand there as if nothing were happening at all. At this point, several of the peaks on the mountain had utterly collapsed to rubble from the pressure of this event.
The aura of destruction it emitted was as if it wanted to destroy the entire world as a whole for harboring some great villain. The elders watched on in silence ingraining every moment into the deepest parts of their memories. Back at the center of all of this the humanoid lightning being looked back towards the elders and waved its hand. Instantly a massive dome of electricity appeared blocking all sights and sounds to everyone outside of it. It turned its head back to Naath and began to speak.
“You cannot deny us, the heavens are infallible, our rule is absolute! If we wish for you to perish then you will, if we want you to kill a rat for us, then you will. Those that resist end up like him” the lightning human pointed towards the rune as it said this and continued. “Labeled a sinner and having every last trace of them destroyed! He will not reincarnate, he will simply die here forever to be removed from the universe! You have no say in whether or not we control your fate, it belongs to the heavens in the first place.”
Naath sneered and said, “I refuse you entirely then, take your gifts and leave. You’re right this is not a negotiation, my fate is my own and I will give you heavens this one last chance to fuck off before I become your enemy and one day topple you completely. My true void arts see all things as resources, including you, the only reason you are safe right now is because I am not yet at the level that I can handle absorbing you all. I have already felt the connection you have placed upon me. Once my true void arts become strong enough I will simply absorb this connection and sever all ties with you!

I do not follow your “heavenly law” I follow my own will and will walk my own path. I want you heavens to remember one thing, a single sentence from my true void arts mantra. All things come from nothing, and all things return to nothing, nothing is the only true absolute in this world.”
As Naath spoke the void seed in the meridian laying in the center of his chest responded as if hearing these words and started to draw in the energy surrounding Naath. The eyes of the lightning human narrowed to thin slits as it felt the fluctuation of the seed and heard Naath’s words.
It spoke again saying “so this is why we cannot see through you, you have inherited the power of nothingness? You have touched our greatest taboo, so be it you are our enemy as well as that ancient rune and his brothers and sisters.”
After saying that the lightning image of the human began to dissipate, however just as the lightning energy was about to ascend back into the cloud Naath’s true void arts circulated out of his control. Naath however, did not panic, he felt the seed in his true void membrane begin to vibrate as his true void arts circulated. He felt that he could stop it if he wanted to at any time, he was the absolute master of the true void arts and it could not control him. As his true void arts circulated the energy that made up the human was being drawn into Naath. The lightning condensed back into human form as it was slowly drawn back towards Naath.
It began to holler “You dare defy us?! You dare use us for your own gain?!” As it hollered more lightning bolts rained down to empower the human. However, no matter how much power it was given, it was still drawing towards Naath’s body slowly but surely. Finally, it attacked Naath, in an attempt to be released from this pull, it pointed its finger and unleashed a lightning bolt that contained the will of pure destruction. The heavens had taken their protection, and the pressure that should have pushed Naath to the ground and shattered every bone in his body and crippled him had no effect.
Naath felt all of this being absorbed by the seed in his chest as if it were a child who had just found a mountain of candy. The lightning human panicked seeing its attack simply being absorbed and refined. It unleashed a flurry of lightning bolts that seemed endless however they were all simply absorbed by the little seed. At this point, all of the lightning dragons stopped assaulting the rune and turned towards Naath. They all charged directly at him with full force. The rune was instantly free of their entrapment, if he had a body he would be letting out a breath of relief about now.
The dragons upon reaching Naath suffered the same fate as the attacks of the lightning human, however. They were completely absorbed by the little seed, it was as if the seed was a bottomless well, the lightning was simply absorbed without the slightest ripple. After this, all of the clouds above began to move into the central space directly above Naath in response. They converged and condensed into a giant sphere of dark clouds. After several moments a blindingly bright lightning bolt made from pure destruction energy fell down upon Naath. This was a sign that the heavens were absolutely trying to destroy every trace of him!
The lightning human smiled condescendingly at Naath at this moment and said, “this is the most power we can use on this little world without completely annihilating it. Let’s see you survive this, defier.” The lightning hit Naath’s skin and began to be absorbed all the same, the lightning humanoid’s face went from condescending to utter horror. However, it regained its composure after a moment when the lightning stopped being absorbed all of a sudden. Instantly Naath’s skin became charred black and he fell to the ground unconscious. However, the seed was still not done, it had absorbed enough so Naath could survive.
Now the suction force on the lightning human returned once more, the look on its face returned to horror. Immediately it circulated its full power and fled back into the clouds overhead. The second it entered the clouds they dissipated and the giant dome of lightning disappeared with the sky returning to normal as if none of this had ever happened. The rune silently went back into Naath’s soul sea and a dead quiet enveloped the area.
