Chapter 52. Reincarnator.

Chapter 52. Reincarnator.

As Naaths parents watched the four maids all leave without saying a single word of thanks they were dumbfounded. Of course being nobles they had read about this kind of thing happening. The looks on the maids faces, the way they acted, the speechless way they just left not even showing gratitude. The two of them knew that these four maids had seen something beyond the level they were ready to touch. Only one had died so it could be considered a miracle already in that regard. They had clearly all three reached a form of enlightenment from whatever they had seen. Yet they all seemed to have seen entirely different things. This caused the two of them to look at their unconscious son on the floor and then glance at each other. Then they looked down and simultaneously gasped as they saw his “birthmark” and the changes that had occurred they both instantly pulled themselves away from looking at it and broke into a cold sweat. When they looked at the birthmark they felt a sense of awe, reverence, and attraction that even they almost couldn't resist.

That's right from their son who had not even an ounce of martial energy yet in his body and had not cultivated at all they felt a threat to themselves who were considered rather strong cultivators. Naath’s mother took off her headband and put it over Naath’s birthmark in order to hide it from sight. Yet what happened next made her jump, part of it was torn to shreds and disappeared, another part became ethereal and faded from existence like it was never really there. Another part seemed to be sucked into an endless void and the last of it was seemingly overwhelmed by something and burst.

Naaths father let out a breath and said “It seems our son is more talented and powerful than we first thought. I cannot recognise a single one of the energies that this birthmark is giving off. The government might have bitten off more than it can chew trying to recruit our son for themselves.”

His mother simply nodded and agreed and then the two of them stood there silently and waited for Naath to wake up. Inside of his central soul sea Naath was comfortably waiting and sensing the changes occurring to his soul. After five minutes or so he felt that it was complete and the little sprout hummed gently telling him exactly that. With a smile Naath thanked Yggrasil and directly left his soul sea returning to the physical world. He slowly opened his eyes and saw the worried faces of his mother and father looking at him. His heart warmed as he remembered them in a flood of information, he sat up and tried to speak.

Before he could even utter a single syllable however his father held up a hand and asked. “Naath, son, clearly this isn’t just a birthmark, can you focus on it for me and try to see if you can make it recede or fade?”

Naath paused for a second confused and then realisation struck him. When he had regained his memories the true void sapling stopped sleeping as well and then when his soul was transforming his true void mark had awoken with them. He focused for a moment and the luster and attributes of the mark faded until it was simply like normal skin as if there was never a mark at all. He looked at his father and smiled as he controlled the mark. It was difficult and took a moment to be able to control it. Naath made a mental note to work on controlling that later.

He spoke up saying “father, mother, I worried you I’m sorry. I will explain everything in detail later, can I please rest right now?”

He spoke in a way that his previous self would have in order to calm them and they nodded silently walking out of the room . Naath sat down in meditation and went over everything he had lived through while he was in his sleep state. He reviewed the information about cultivation on this world, all the information from the various books and everything the librarian had taught him. After some time he had all the information sorted out and memorised. When he had his memories in order he slowly stood up and exited the room where his parents were waiting for him in the hallway. Without even a word being spoken they all went to the dinning area where family matters were always discussed.

Naath’s father sent the still sane servants to go and get Naath’s older brothers from school. It didn't even take half an hour for them to arrive when they were told it was a family emergency relating to their youngest brother. Once everyone was seated at the family table Naath’s mother spoke up.

She looked at Naath with gentle eyes and asked “Naath what's going on?”

All eyes on the table turned to him and he took a deep breath and started to explain. “Mom, dad, brother Leng, brother Shuan. This matter is… complicated, sigh how to explain? To put it rather simply I am a reincarnator. The way I reincarnated is a bit… special and I cannot share how due to the information relating to some of my greater secrets. I normally wouldn't mind sharing these at all with everyone because I am still your son. My memories of these last ten years or so are still vivid in my mind and being your son is an undeniable part of me now. You are still my mother and father, but these secrets are things that caused my death in my last life. The heavens aren't exactly happy with all the information I know.

This content has been misappropriated from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

What I know can be considered a taboo, the heavens refuse to let anyone touch upon these secrets. I am being ‘hidden’ from their sight for now using special means, however I don't want you all to be affected by my karma. Now that I have awakened all of my memories in full I feel much clearer than before. But I have lost everything except for the memories of my past few lives. Yes this is not my first reincarnation, the memories of my past two lives are full and complete unlike most reincarnators. Mom, dad the mark you always thought was my birthmark was in fact a part of my inheritance from a past life. I know this is alot to take in but I assure you it’s true, I am still your son and brother, I am still part of this family and will do all I can to help the family rise. I'm sure you have questions and you can feel free to ask away.”

There were several minutes of silence as everyone processed this information. In this world reincarnation wasn't unheard of but it was exceedingly rare for it to happen. Every time someone was reincarnated though they would rise like a shooting star. Their cultivation would be world shaking, their talent almost immeasurable. Naath’s parents knew he was bound to be an exceptional genius but they never dared dream that he was a reincarnated person. After these minutes of complete silence Naath’s father was the first to speak up.

His voice rose to a boisterous volume and he said “Hahaha did you hear that honey, kids? Our little Naath is a reincarnator! And not just a reincarnator but one with whole complete and true memories! Hahaha that's that, I’m going to the palace tomorrow and demanding the contract be canceled on account of extraordinary circumstances! Naath, my boy, don't worry since you said you still feel you are our son then without a doubt you are still our son!”

After his father finished speaking the rest of Naaths family began to excitedly cheer and celebrate this news. Naath felt a burst of warmth surge in his heart as he listened to all of this and saw the smiles on his family's faces. He truly felt like he belonged here as their son and brother. He felt a warmth here he hadn't felt in his past two lives and he relished in this warm feeling and partied the night away with his family. As much as they would let him anyway, he was after all still only nine and a half years old. Well at least his mortal body was only that old.

Soon the morning came around and everyone woke up one by one as they had passed out around the table. Naaths father was the first to wake up and he silently left the room and then the house, a proud smile on his face. He made his way to the royal palace at a leisurely pace and casually walked through the front gate. Once he was inside he found one of the servants and simply told them to contact the emperor to let him know he was there for a meeting. The servant was dumbfounded by this, after all this was the emperors palace! Who was this man to barge in without a care in the world and demand a meeting with the emperor?

Seeing as Naath’s father didn't even flinch after a long moment of silence the servant determined the man was serious and scrambled away to tell the emperor. When the emperor heard there was someone who had demanded an audience with him and even asked for the emperor to go to meet him he lost his temper. His aura of a late energy expansion cultivation burst out of him and his throne was turned to dust immediately. He took a single step forward and disappeared immediately appearing in front of the man who had demanded the meeting. He was prepared to launch a fatal strike and instantly kill whoever this insolent person was. When he saw Naath’s father however, he froze immediately, in the entire empire this man in front of him was the only one with the true ability to demand a meeting with him.

Naath’s father was in fact the holder of the contract that could determine the entire future of the empire. He was the father of a genius that the heavens themselves blessed with a clear sign. If he for some reason canceled this contract that would spell disaster for the empire, it would mean their future would stagnate once more. After a brief moment the emperor restrained his aura and came to a grinding halt. Naath’s fire smiled and spoke up.

“Ah lord emperor excuse me for my unannounced visit however there are some things that we need to discuss. This concerns the future of the entire empire as well as my family's personal matters.”

Despite his warm smile as he said all of this the emperor felt a cold chill spread through him when he heard these words.

He nervously asked “and what matter might those be?”

Naaths father smiled and answered “recently a tremendous event has occurred with my son, Naath. You see he has recently awoken, I think the emperor can figure out the rest?”

At first the emperor had no idea what Naath’s father was talking about, then it slammed into him like a divine revelation. A layer of sweat instantly soaked his robe and he began shaking wildly like a leaf in a hurricane. A single thought came into his mind when he heard the word ‘awoken’. The emperor’s eyes went wide and his mouth went dry. It took him several attempts before he could once more speak and seven then it was simply a one word question. “Reincarnator?” He asked in barely a whisper at all Naaths father upon hearing this simply nodded his head and let the ramification of this settle in the emperor's mind.

When the emperor finally regained his wits he asked “how much of his memory has he awoken?”

The words of Naaths father were like the largest bomb in existence to the emperor's mind “All of them from two lives!” The emperor felt his legs go soft and his vision went black, he had gone unconscious from the sheer shock of this matter.
