Bio: Some say that Ultra Magnus emerged from his protoform with a blaster in his hands and a grimace on his face. This isn't far from the truth. Ultra Magnus is an idealized version of what a soldier is, dedicated to his duty but not letting it overshadow his sense of right and wrong. His high rank reveals more about his experience and competency than his ambition. Ultra Magnus has little desire for power, and his comfort with leadership does not extend beyond the battlefield. He's turned down numerous offers for promotion, knowing it will take him out of the action while simultaneously putting even more lives in his hands.

Although sympathetic to Optimus Prime and his Autobots, and even comfortable working with and aiding them when the situation calls for it, defection has never crossed Ultra Magnus's mind. His sense of duty is too strong, no matter how much he disagrees with the Council's insular reaction to the ever growing Decepticon war machine. So Magnus does what he can with where he is, and it would take a truly catastrophic event to change this decision.

Abilities: Ultra Magnus is the largest Cybertronian of Autobot make naturally brought online, and is by extension one of the strongest as well. He can easily haul his comrades to and from battle in vehicle mode, and in robot mode can match or even overpower most Decepticons.

While lacking onboard weaponry, Ultra Magnus has heavily outfitted himself with weaponry as well as armor plating, additions that would make other Transformers sluggish but that Ultra Magnus carries with relative ease.

Notes: (From Strika): Ultra Magnus is a great soldier. He knows his duty, and sticks to it almost as rigorously as I do. The Elite Guard needs more like him, capable, and loyal to Cybertron. But what I need is for those desk jockeys back at HQ to stop trying to steal him away from my command! Megatron's Decepticons have poached enough of our best troops as is. We don't need them joining in as well!
