Starscream

Name: Starscream

Make: Decepticon

Role: Decepticon Second in Command, Air Commander

Bio: Starscream was not always the way he is now. He used to be a scientist, a capable member of Cybertron's exploratory Seeker force, and a good friend to the kind and timid giant known as Skyfire. But tragedy struck when a supposedly decommissioned space bridge malfunctioned, threatening to destroy itself and take a significant chunk of Cybertron with it. Skyfire sacrificed himself to close it, the Seekers were shut down, and Starscream was left as a shell of his former self.

Starscream became the administrator of Cybertron's orbital space station, toiling away until fellow former seekers Thundercracker and Skywarp dragged him to a gladiatorial game. As his opponent was carted away for repairs, Megatron began one of his famous speeches, and it ignited something in Starscream, dreams of conquest and glory he didn't know he had. He joined Megatron's growing Decepticon following, and on the eve of violence breaking out, Megatron turned to him. He implored Starscream to sabotage his station, turning control over to the Decepticons, and Starscream did so, solidifying Decepticon air superiority and earning himself a high position in Megatron's new army.

But there are people who should never be given power, and Starscream is one of them. His ego is huge and insatiable, driving him to force his way up through the ranks of the Decepticons until he hit an impenetrable wall, that wall's name being Megatron. There are few things left these days that Starscream loves. But he does love Decepticon leadership, and he doesn't care how many Decepticons he needs to kill to get it.

Abilities: Starscream is an extremely skilled aerial combatant, capable of easily ending fights before they begin. This is good for him, because the only thing more famous than Starscream's ego is his cowardice, and he will only enter fights where he has the clear advantage. Fortunately for those relying on him, this is more often than not the case, as his flight capabilities, heavy firepower, and large Decepticon build make him highly dangerous in direct combat as well as in the air.

Starscream is a surprisingly proficient marksman, and can often be seen with a wide variety of firearms, in addition to his integrated nullrays and missiles.

Notes: (From Megatron): Starscream is an idiot! He is impulsive and short-sighted, incapable of seeing the long-term ramifications of his idiotic plots, and if someone doesn't put a check on his limitless ambitions, he's going to get himself killed, not to mention the rest of us!

But, as much as I am loath to admit it, Starscream is a capable soldier, so long as he is kept in control. He is one of my only troops capable of operating truly independently, and he is the only one disrespectful enough to actually question my orders, something any true leader needs. And I do actually find his bumbling scheming amusing, to the point it saddens me knowing that I may need to put him offline someday.
