Name: Soundwave
Make: Decepticon
Role: Decepticon Special Operations Commander
Bio: Mysterious. Intelligent. Cold. These terms are used to describe Soundwave by friend and foe alike. Soundwave was a gladiator before the war, a seemingly ill-fitting occupation for one of his temperament, and little is known of his past, or how he developed his wide variety of skills. Soundwave is a master of communication technology, as well as surveillance and subterfuge. This has led to Soundwave becoming one of the most trusted, if not the most trusted, of Megatron's servants.
Soundwave is extremely loyal, both to Megatron and the Decepticon cause as a whole. This, combined with his before mentioned competency, has led many to question why Starscream is second-in-command instead of him. In truth, Soundwave lacks personal ambition and is more concerned with his work, and he knows having to quash powergrab after powergrab by Starscream would interfere with said work greatly.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
While appearing distant and detached to most, Soundwave has a peculiar connection with the smallest of Cybertron's denizens. Ranging from animalistic to rambunctious, these small Decepiticons are deeply loyal to Soundwave, who seems to care for them in an almost parental manner.
Abilities: In addition to the strength and firepower possessed by most Decepticons, Soundwave is extremely intelligent, with a particular talent for strategic analysis and infiltration. He has a supercomputer alt-mode which further enhances the usefulness of these talents, sometimes to an absurd degree.
Although not as fast or maneuverable as true flyers, Soundwave is capable of limited flight in robot mode, somewhat alleviating his stationary alt-mode. He is capable of carrying his miniscule associates inside his chest, protecting them from heavy fire and releasing them for surprise attacks.
Notes: (From Rumble): Soundwave is great. He's super cool, and he loves a good party! But it's not all fun and games. So when the fighting starts prepare to tumble, because from his bosom, here comes Rumble!
