Kup

Name: Kup

Make: Autobot

Role: Elite Guard NCO

Bio: Kup has been around a long time, and seen more than most, even amongst bots his own age. While he's experienced his fair share of war, most of his time has been spent not as a soldier but as an adventurer, traveling far and wide throughout the galactic sector. While he enjoys telling plenty of stories about the wondrous things he's seen, he's witnessed plenty of horrors as well, horrors that he is happy to keep to himself.

When the last war with the Quintessons started, Kup was rejected from service on account of his age, and found little reason to resume his old adventuring ways in the war's aftermath. Depressed, Kup became a recluse, accepting his fate just as Cybertron was accepting its own. But when Megatron began his conquest of Cybertron, and took much of the Elite Guard's military with him, Kup was welcomed back into the service, restoring some of the spark he thought he had lost forever. And while he could do without all the death and destruction, Kup is happy to be back in the thick of things.

Abilities: Kup is a veteran of numerous wars, and as a result has developed significant combat skills. He's managed to stay quick on his feet, and is surprisingly agile for a bot of his age. While lacking the strength to make use of the heaviest firepower available, he's a crack shot with what he has.

Although a capable soldier, Kup's real skillset lies in survival and exploration, operating independently while deep inside hostile or unfamiliar territory. The war as is unfortunately doesn't leave much room to make full use of these abilities, but if fortunes change, Kup may prove himself invaluable.

Notes: (From Ultra Magnus): Kup is the oldest soldier I've ever had under my command. You would think that with age would come a certain level of seriousness and respect for authority, and you would be wrong. Kup is defiant, and stands on the border of insubordination at his worst. He seems to think his age and experience warrants him respect, and respect I give him. But I draw the line at deference. Kup feels like he has something to prove, and what do I know? Maybe he does. But if he's going to make it through this war, he's going to need to learn how to work as part of a team. Because not doing that is what gets people killed.
