Name: Ironhide
Make: Autobot
Role: Autobot Commander
Bio: An old spark in an old frame, Ironhide has lived through several historical events, including several wars, in which he served as a grunt. Many bots would leave such experiences broken and bitter, but Ironhide has managed to maintain an affable, if sometimes gruff, attitude. After the last war with the Quintessons and the civil unrest that followed, Ironhide was content to retire to a quiet life and let the younger generation deal with Cybertron's problems, until Megatron's growing Decepticon movement forced him to get himself back into the thick of it. Ironhide was among the first to join up with Optimus when he went to liberate Iacon from Decepticon control, and provided much needed military experience to the fledgling Autobot faction. Ironhide now finds himself as one of Optimus Prime's most trusted advisors and commanders. It's a role he doesn't feel fully comfortable in, but one he fulfills dutifully. He trusts and looks up to the young (from his perspective) leader, and he's in it for the long haul.

Abilities: Ironhide's slowed down quite a bit in his old age, but he's still one of the toughest and strongest Autobots around. Unlike most of Prime's crew, and Autobots in general, Ironhide has significant combat experience, making him an important advisor to Prime, and a capable field commander when the situation calls for it. Ironhide also has a large amount of internal storage space in both modes, with which he carries a variety of useful liquid substances he can fire from his wrists.
Notes: (From Bumblebee): As one of the smaller bots around, Ironhide can seem really scary. He's big and strong, and his voice has a certain toughness to it. But once you get to know him, Ironhide is one of the nicest sparks you'll ever meet, and a loyal friend.
He's self conscious though, both about his age and the lofty position he's found himself in, a far cry from his previous experiences as a soldier. He can be self deprecating about both, his age especially. Sometimes I need to remind Ironhide that he's old, not ancient.
