“Don’t be ridiculous. That would have taken much more effort.”
Sun Su Seung nodded, agreeing with Ji Yeong.
Hyeol Pi was admonishing them.
“Bridal carry! Princess carry! Call it whatever you will, there’s only one way to carry someone! You don’t sling them over your shoulder like a sack of potatoes.”
“There’s no reason to use an inefficient method.”
“Yes there is! It’s romantic!”
“I wasn’t trying to be romantic!”
“Why not?!”
“I’m not interested in that”
They agreed to disagree.
“Are Aurora and Rell also in the martial arts department
She laughed at him.
“No, but they do both go here.”
“Wow, really? That’s quite a coincidence.”
She looked at him like he was insane.
“Indeed,” she said sarcastically, “four best friends play a game together, and then it turns out they go to school together. What are the odds?”
“Oh, yeah. That makes sense.”
“What is weird is that you came here too. How did you choose this place?”
“I didn’t. My family choose it.”
Hyeol chimed in.
“Hm. I don’t suppose the reason they choose it was because it had the foremost medicine program, her mother works here, and it allows you to triple major?”
“I kind of doubt it.”
“Coincidence indeed!”
“I’ve got to say,” said Yeong, “I’m pretty impressed by your skills. What martial art was that?”
“Parkour. It’s not really meant for fighting, but in Royal Road, everything’s meant for fighting.”
“In Royal Road?”
“Yeah, I learned it in Royal Road.”
“You expect me to believe that you picked up those skills in a matter of months?”
“Well you see, my capsule is modified so that it increases my strength, like I was really doing what I do in the game.”
“Where did you get something like that?”
“My dad got it to aid in the rehabilitation process.”
“You were in rehab?”
“What? No, my legs were atrophied.”
“What does that mean?”
“It means,” a female voice interrupted, “that his muscles were too weak for real use because he hadn’t use them in so long.”
“Aurora?” Seung said, shocked.
“Park Mi Young.” she corrected.
“How did you know he was here?” asked Yeong.
“Hyeol texted me. I notice that you didn’t try to communicate with either of us. Your own brother, left to fend for himself.”
Seung recalled that Paella and Rell were siblings.
“Why did you arrive first?”
The author's content has been appropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.
“Probably,” she said scornfully, “because he won’t leave his class ‘until it’s done.’”
“Do you mean to say that you’re cutting class just to say hi?”
“Oh, don’t worry about that. II was already cutting class.”
Seung thought about this.
He was sure that there was something wrong with Park Mi Young’s logic there, but he couldn’t quite figure out what.
She looked at him.
“You have leg problems? You chose the wrong major.”
“Had. I had leg problems.”
“Yeah,” added Yeong, “Three months ago. Now you’re running on walls and doing flips.”
“Impossible.” said Mi Young.
“I saw it. With me own two eyes.”
“Assuming it wasn’t used for a few months, you might be able to get it back to normal walking level in three or four months. But flips and running on walls? No way.”
“But,” Yeong said, “He’s been doing it in Royal Road with a magic capsule, so he improves four times as fast.”
Mi Young thought for a moment.
“I’ll need to talk to my teachers about that. If only I knew their names, or where they held classes, or where-”
Thankfully, Rell chose that moment to arrive.
After Seung restated everything he knew about the “magic capsule,” they came to a conclusion.
Wouldn’t it be cooler if they each had one?
After class ended, Yeong and Hyeol had taught Seung a few “basic” techniques, which he thought were ridiculously complex.
As it was the first day, they had no other classes, and they decided to visit Seung’s house.
“You know, Yeong and I are pretty well off, but this…”
Dong Ji had picked Seung up from school, and the car was big enough to hold all of them.
“Directly to the house then Wooster?”
“Yes please.”
Rell, whose real name was Ji Meonji, snickered.
“Wooster.”
When they arrived at the house, Seung took them to see his father.
“Excuse me, but four are friends of mine from Royal Road, I was wondering if you could get them capsules like the one I have.”
“They’re downstairs.”
Seung was taken aback.
“What?”
“Seung, you’re a smart boy aren’t you? Surely you don’t still believe in coincidences?”
