While my children were doing their own thing, I had some time to think for myself. I have some questions and needed some answers.
Who am I?
I can clearly remember a lot.
I can remember how things work.
I remember cars, phones, PCs, and whatnot.
I know I went to school.
I know I had jobs.
I know some general things about my world.
I could make an assumption based on what I know.
I could be an adult who finished his education, maybe around high school or college level. Old enough to have a long list of experience. I have never experienced sex but watched a lot of porn.
I couldn't remember things about me, my body, my gender, my likes or dislikes, I don't know if I have a family, I don't know if I'm an orphan.
I don't know my name or my age, but I know I had a life.
I don't even know how I got here.
Did I die?
Did some typical magic stuff that sent me here?
What happened?
I'm sure I'll get to know the answer. Maybe not.
Enough thinking about the past. It's time to move on.
After thinking to myself, with my back towards everything, I turn around and see all of my children waiting for me.
"Old Man! We're done! What next?" Pira says in an excited tone. Pira's voice is rough, very fitting for his appearance.
"Pops, Cere found something and I think you need to know about this," Libertad says, pulling Cere by her uniform's collar, then wrapping his shoulder around her arms.
"Hey!" Cere yelps.
"That is correct. We can make a plan or we can set some goals in the future that we can easily accomplish." Nameless says with a ghastly voice, do I sound like that? Because I think my voice is normal.
"Before we talk about stuff, we can hang out on one of the planets. There's this planet with endless green plains made by Libertad and Cere that has a nice view of flowers." Lucerna says with a happy and excited tone.
"I guess we could find a place for ourselves first, instead of being in outer space all the time," I say, then Lucerna points to a faraway planet just a few feet away from me. The six siblings suddenly disappear before my eyes, as if they teleported.
Can I do that?
I imagine myself teleporting to that particular planet, I think of the distance becoming shorter and shorter, then imagine myself smaller and smaller so I can be on the surface of said planet.
Within a blink of an eye, I'm on the flowery plains that Lucerna was talking about, No trees in sight, just flowers all across the plains to the horizon. Just across from me is a round white table, with 7 chairs of different colors, one of them bigger than the 6 of them. That one must be mine.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
They were already there, with Cere, Serenitas, and Lucerna already sitting down, Pira and Libertad pulling their seats, and Nameless who seems to be waiting for me, standing behind her chair.
The seating arrangement goes like this, with my black chair in the center. On my right side is a purple chair for Nameless, besides it is a red chair for Pira, and then a green chair for Libertad. On the left side of my chair would be a yellow chair, then a blue chair, then an orange chair, for Lucerna, Serenitas, and Cere, respectively.
I sit down on my chair, then Nameless sits on her chair after I did.
"To start the discussion, Cere could you please start showing us your findings?" Nameless starts, then Cere nods and stands up.
Cere began explaining her book, and how it uses Mana, Aura, Existential Energy, and more, and that those energies existed just after they were born. She also explains how it works, and that anyone can use it if they want to know something that they do not.
Cere starts to talk about a dimension called the Aether, a dimension I'm very familiar with. There are a lot of stories I've read regarding that place. A dimension where gods of other worlds stay in and acts like a public area for them. It's similar to a commercial district, where gods sell products and services to other gods, gods trade with others, and whatnot. She says the door to the Aether can only be opened from the inside, or if I accomplish certain requirements. I don't like talking to other people, except my children, so I hope I don't get the requirements too quickly and too early.
After that, she tells me about a System Recipe, which is also a thing I'm very familiar with. A system would be a user interface that does a lot of things, depending on its theme. It grants the user many things, one of them being quests that reward the user when completed, or punish the user if they failed or rejected the quest. It allows the user to see their abilities and capabilities in a game-like manner through stats and whatnot. I've read a lot of manhwa and manhua with those systems. She says that we can create it, simply by offering a part of my body, just like I did in giving birth to my children.
"That is all." Cere nods before sitting back down.
"Thank you so much, Cere. Now, are there any suggestions moving forward?" Nameless says as the others look at each other before Serenity speaks up.
"Since opening the Aether is an activity we can't accomplish even if we put all of our focus, I suggest developing a planet or two, creating inhabitants and whatnot, as this is the goal Dad made for us to fulfill. Right, Dad?" She faces me, waiting for me to reply.
...Not once had I thought of developing a planet. I just wanted to make suns and planets. That's it, but I couldn't say that. I might lose their respect and trust.
"Yes, exactly," I say.
"Then we should pick a planet or three, make inhabitants and their respective habitats, and some unique features on the planet." Nameless adds.
"Nice suggestion Nits, But I got an even better idea," Pira says. "What about making that System that Cere said. I can take care of it, or we can take turns taking care of it if Dad is unable to take care of it when he makes it?"
A system, huh? What type of system we should make? Because I read a story where a woodcutting system is in place, and the main character simply grows stronger when he keeps cutting wood. An Intimidation System where the user gets points when he intimidates people or deceives people into thinking he's strong, which the points can be used to buy powerful stuff, or strengthen the user. And the usual system UI most manga and games use, shows the stats, abilities, stat points, leveling, and such.
"That's a great suggestion. What kind of system do you want to make?" I ask,
"I... hmm... I don't know. I just like the idea." Pira scratches the back of his head.
Looking at everyone, they seem to have no idea what system to make.
"Then it is decided until we find out what type of system to make, let's pick a planet or two and develop it." The six nod after my words. I continued saying, "Once we pick a planet or two, We need to fill it with Mana and Aura all around the planet, and make certain habitats depending on your likes, before designing living beings, and having Lucerna and I make it." I look around, and they seem to have no qualms or complaints about what I said.
"In short, strengthen the planet, make different habitats for different beings, then design different beings, and then have Lucerna make it for you with my assistance." They all nod, while Nameless stands up and starts to speak.
"Okay everyone, time to do our job, chop chop, let's not waste any more time. Our time may be infinite but a lot can be done if we all work hard now." Cere and Serenitas disappear before my eyes, while Pira and Libertad fly away instead. Lucerna and Nameless leave my side and started talking to each other while I sit on my seat, my boredom growing.
What can I do for them?
