418 stopped writing in their notepad after that. They figured that once they could materialize, they’d transfer these journals into a physical media but that was a thought for much, much later. Right now the most pressing concern was to pierce the surface. So 418 got back to digging their corridor. The first two sets of corridor tiles were much the same as the previous tiles, they were placed without issues, much to 418’s dismay. Though the third was different . Instead of being placed, 418 got a message instead.
“Cannot Build above ground without at least one entrance built.”
418 could scarcely believe their eyes. They had thought that it would take a lot longer to reach the outside. It was because of that, 418 hadn’t done much in terms of thinking about how to hide their identity of being the dungeon. However the sudden surprise of reaching the surface had left them completely speechless. After a few moments the only thing 418 could get out was:
“Well looks like we did it, Guide.”
“Then congratulations are an order. Shall I crack open a bottle of champagne?” Said Guide humorously.
The shock of Guide’s sudden joke helped 418 refocus. In a pleasant tone they responded: “Does this world even have campagne?”
“I don’t know. But that matters little to yourself, no?”
“True enough”
418 realized that there was quite a lot they’d need to talk about with their monsters. So 418 told them to all meet up in Rook’s room in about an hour. Once they had finished that, they went off to think.
The main reason for the 1 hour break was so 418 could thing of a name. They would need that to interact with this new world without them trying to exploit them. They were stumped and just as it seemed they could think of a name a memory popped into 418’s head. With that memory that they knew what they were going to call themselves. And so an hour passed.
In Rook's room, six kobolds and a large black golem were gathered. 418 was also there but lacked a physical form to appear present. Suddenly the air around them changed around them as they prepared to speak. After a few moments, they started to speak.
“Today I have gathered you to discuss a few things about the future of our dungeon and my plans going forward. But first I have some good news , we are finally able to open a path to the surface. We will finally be able to act as a proper dungeon.”
This causes howls of joy from the kobolds. And while the body didn't show it, 418 felt the air change around Rook to a happier one. 418 continued.
“The first point is on what to call me. As I wish to turn part of this dungeon into a town, the people living there need a name for the one ruling it. Mortal races are curious, and if they aren't given an answer, they grow suspicious. Some may seek to destroy my core, while others might seek dominion of the dungeon. Which is why I’m creating myself an alias, when asked, just tell them that the master of this dungeon is an individual by the name of Morgan Whiteclaw.”
The name that 418 used was a name that they frequently used in MMOs but the kobolds didn’t need to know that. Shortly thereafter, the golden colored Kobold female asked a question.
”Great Dragon, will we be able to still call you that? And why seek to deceive your enemies instead of destroying them?” the female asked.
“To your first question, yes that is fine you only need to speak the alias when they ask. As to your second question, the reason is simple: I'm gathering them for a purpose that requires that I keep them alive. Besides, it will likely have the opposite effect and make them more likely to try and destroy me.” Explained 418 with the kobold female getting it. ”Which brings me to my next point, I ask you to try and refrain from killing. This excludes Rook for obvious reasons. And while I’ll ask for you to not immediately kill, as there will be rules in place to punish those who break them, I ask you to prioritize your own safety over not killing. Because implementing a no kill rule like that is naive at best and downright Suicidal at its worst. Besides all that, I see you all as my children. And what parent would want to see their children suffer?”

“And the last thing on my docket concerns the kobolds. As I am to become the de facto leader of this town, it would behoove me to look the part. I seek not only to grant you names, but also give jobs that relate to this ruling house and grant you all wandering boss status to help defend it. Is this acceptable to you all?”
The kobolds all nodded in agreement and the one whose color was that of black iron said: “There’d be no greater honor, great dragon.”
And so 418 granted that which they promised. And the kobolds began to change.
The first of Kobolds to be named was the golden colored female. She was granted the name Aurora and granted the position of head maid. When she was given the wandering boss status, she began to change. Her golden skin became a light tan color. She began to grow some golden blond hair. Her eyes shined a golden color as well. She gained a maid uniform, that one in 418 old world might consider french. She looked almost human save for her golden tail, the golden scales that cover a part of her face, and the small horn popping out from her hair. She gained 2 jobs: two-blade fighter (novice), and head maid jobs. Her unique skill was Brilliant Tactician which allowed her to more easily command others and more easily formulate plans.
The next Kobold to be named was the black iron looking kobold who was granted the name Alfred. The Jobs he gained were butler of the imperial household and Martial artist(White belt). He ended up looking like an older gentleman with grayish hair and a mustache of the same color. His eyes appeared grayed from age. He was tall and had scales and a tail of a blackish color though his skin was the opposite color. His horns were much longer than aurora’s and he wore a black suit. But don’t let his old man appearance fool you, for if you do, you will lose if you challenge him to a fight. The unique skill he bears is called peerless, it makes it to where the longer a fight goes on the stronger he becomes.
The third one named was a silver colored kobold; he was granted the position of captain of the imperial guards and the name silvanus. He was tall and had fair colored skin. His scales, tail, eyes and hair were all the same silver color. He wore a set of silver colored armor and wielded a halberd. If his looks made maidens swoon then his boss skill Breakpoint made his enemies fear him. It allowed him to destroy the enemy's equipment in a single strike.
One of the last Kobolds to be evolved was the platinum colored female. Her position was that of Morgan Whiteclaw’s personal maid. Her hair was white and in a small ponytail. Her eyes were the color of platinum; the same as her scales, her horns and tail. She looks to be around the age of a girl in high school. One might consider her cute looking in that non-attracted sort of way. But her combat style is anything but cute. She wields a double headed war-axe with an impressive strength. Her boss skill Bloody Berserker makes it to where every drop of blood spilled makes her stronger. This monstrous girl was granted the name Persephone.
After that the final female named was Phyllis. She became the imperial researcher due to her earlier interest in it. They ended up getting 2 combat skills bombarder which increases the size of explosions and cannoneer which increases damage while using artillery. 418 had to create a special weapon which was pretty much a hand-held cannon. Her boss skill was perfect calculation which allowed her to pretty much alway land her shot. She transformed into pale skin women with eyes the color of lead. Her hair was the same color as her eyes and looked like one would think mad scientist hair would look. It also covered her horns. She was quite short, even shorter than Persephone. But She was still quite strong.
The final named kobold was cerus. He was formerly a light green colored kobold who was very interested in the food 418 provided. So they were made into the head chef of the household. He also was granted the boss skill Analyzer. This allowed him to know what went into any item with just glancing at it and now how good or bad it is. He is a shorter dark tan gentlemen with green eyes and hair the color of oxidized copper. His scales and tail took on a more bronze color. While his look did change, he also gained new combat skills. His skills: tavern brawler and throwing weapons meant that the most dangerous place to fight this kobold was the kitchen.
418 was baffled by how all the kobolds all evolved to be more human-like. So they asked Guide why that was.
“The kobolds have all evolved into high kobolds. This special evolution occurs when a being the kobolds serve grant them a name and they meet the conditions to evolve. This usually causes them to look more like the creature that they serve.”
418 was shocked by this statement from Guide but then a thought ran across their mind. “ Does this mean my materialization form is Humanoid?”
“That or since you still view yourself as human that could cause them to evolve that way as well. But I digress. Shouldn't you get to building that entrance to the dungeon?”
Sorry, I got caught up in the moment. I’ll get right on that”
So 418 went back to where the entrance was and removed the 2 sets of corridor tiles that were placed. Then they were replaced by 4 room tiles. Lastly 418 used 200 Mp, 20 BP, and 20 SP to build an entrance tile to the dungeon. It spread to cover the two tiles then it unlocked two features
New feature unlock sundial/moondial added to internal clock. Outside dungeon mapping now available.
418 looked at the western rising sun from the newly built entrance and only one word crossed their mind: beautiful.
