Day 2
So I have decided to write a journal of sorts about the happenings day to day inside my dungeon. I did this in small part for posterity, but mainly because I’m bored as hell. Besides, it might be fun to look back on all of this if I survive . Well that is all in the distant future, I need to focus on the Now and the immediate future. One of the things I need to put thought into is an alias. No, perhaps it is more accurate to say a new name, as I have forgotten my old one. Even if I eventually did find out my old name, the old me is dead and gone, in both senses of the phrase. So a new name must be decided but that is something for the future. But for now I begin my project to tunnel outside this mountain.
Day 3
The project is moving along nicely. I have already built a new room. This room will hold the penultimate boss of the dungeon. I’m not sure what kind of boss I am going to make yet but it is certain that I’m not making another spirestone golem a boss. Rook is plenty good and I don't want to hurt its feelings if it has any. Speaking of spirestone golems, making them now is one of the 2 things I can do now that basic masonry research. Well not just them I can make golems out of any stone i have absorbed. The other is the ability to replace stone with any stone i have absorbed in my stone creations. Maybe once I start building the town I’ll replace all the stone with spire stone, that’ll make it look unique.
Day 5
So I ended up putting myself to sleep for a day once again. But I have built a main chamber of sorts to the Dungeon. It is a room that splits off In eight different directions. I envision it as a sort of trial. Bring the six proofs and the way forward opens. In the midst of building the room I gained three things because I leveled up the dungeon job. First, I gained the ability to make stairs. There are two types: small stairs that only go 5 feet up or down and large staircases that go up or down the equivalent of a room. Secondly, I gained the ability to make triangular tiles that had two 45 degree angles. And lastly, I gained a rule for doors, present the proofs to open. This rule has some interesting implications. First Proofs last for three days even though bosses take a lot less time to respawn. Secondly, people who already got the boss’s proof can’t get another one until the three days are up. Even if everyone else has not fought the boss if one had no one gets a proof. What a way to prevent exploits. It seems whoever built this rule did not like people cheating the system. And thirdly, while leaving the dungeon removes the proof, it does not remove the timer to acquire a new one. That is how it was explained to me. But with all of those my trial room has its blueprint. Though for now I’ll focus on other matters
Day 6
I decided to spruce up some of the areas that were built earlier. In particular the core room had 7 more tiles added and all of the hallways were made twice as wide. I also adjusted doors for those areas. Rook also received some work and he is much stronger. But he doest seem to be much for conversation. Well he can't exactly speak so that is not unexpected. It is quiet here and that quiet, it makes it feel a little empty. Perhaps I will change that.

Day 7
It is lonely here so I’m thinking of summoning more monsters. No not with the gacha, despite how interesting that would be, but instead it will be kobolds. I am thinking of turning them into maids and butlers for my castle. Also once I build the town I’m building myself a castle. I'm doing it because how many architects can say they designed a castle. Only a very small number. Anyways I am going to take my time with this decision while expanding the dungeon towards
Day 10
So I ended up summoning the kobolds. Also the dungeon is now up to 8 rooms besides the core room. But back to the kobolds, they number six, 3 female and 3 male. They lovingly refer to me as ”great dragon.” They do drain a bit of MP because I do need to feed them. Not because they’ll starve but because they become weaker when they are not fed. Not sure if that makes it lucky or unlucky that Rook was my first monster. Though I have learned that I can create any food from my memory with the power of a dungeon, so the kobolds are eating some cheese pizza. Maybe next time I’ll give them some with pineapples on it just to mess with them. The kobolds are set up in the large room next to Rook. Anyway I haven’t given the kobolds names just yet. But I will as soon as I open this dungeon. Also while I was expanding the dungeon I found an ore vein called Illuminite and some cypress logs with some mushrooms growing out of them, which unlocked a bunch of new research for me. Though I’m not bothering with them right now because my number one goal is to pierce the surface. I know I must be close.
Day 11
The dungeon now has reached 10 rooms today. I decided to play that little pizza prank on my kobolds. But they all ate it up with no strange looks, some even said they like it, the weirdos. I kid, I kid. Even if they were weirdos they’d be my weirdos. But two gave responses that piqued my curiosity. The light green male said he would be interested in learning to cook this dish while the bluish gray female said that she was interested in studying this dish more. Perhaps they shall become my researcher and chef. I will give them all names in the future but for now this tunnel project has my full attention. I hope that it will soon end, as it’s exhausting.
Day 12
The dungeon has 13 rooms now, excluding the core, and yet we still haven’t pierced the surface yet. The farthest room edge is 1250 feet. This fact is driving me crazy, so I am purely focusing on building hallways until I reach the surface. I hope it is soon.
Day 14
I am so tired of digging. We are almost 1500 feet away from the core, 3 more tiles and we’re there. The kobolds say “Great dragon, you needn’t worry. The smell of new air is very close.” I pray that they are right.

These are some excerpts taken from what we now believe was the first dungeon master of The Black Dungeon City, Shahar Noire. When we first found these journals that were written in a language that we had never seen before. But thanks to some very skilled translators we were able to translate most of the entries. Through some entries, we were not able to translate due to a lack of knowledge or damage to the journals. This nonetheless still gives us a glimpse of the earlier days of Shahar Noire. - Thalian Oakheart Translator Notes, Journals of Noire
