Venomion asked Yune if she had a place to stay, and since she didn't, Venomion offered hers.
The two of them dashed along the rooftops to reach a simple apartment building. Yune followed her new acquaintance with little reason to trust, but she felt something within her that liked her. But she just thought it was the child-like charm that made her cute.
Then, they reached to an apartment that Venomion was going to open, but upon hearing sounds inside, she froze. It sounded like arguing and fighting. Some glass broke.
"Oh. They're usually out gambling by now," Venomion mumbled.
And then, she walked away from that apartment and over to the next one. A snake came out of her arm, and it slithered underneath the door. The door unlocked from the inside, and Venomion opened the door.
"After you, pal," Venomion said as she opened the door for Yune, "Don't worry. The last guy was evicted. Too bad, though. He was a nice enough guy to let me stay during the nights."
"Right," Yune replied as she walked into an empty room. There were a couple of old mattresses left on the floor. It didn't seem like the last tenant cleaned up after himself. There were cans of soda and boxes of pizza left on the floor. And then Venomion's snakes started cleaning up the place.
"Sorry about the mess. I didn't know we were going to have guests," Venomion said to Yune.
"We?"
"Oh, you know, me and my snakes. Each one is like a brother or sister. I even named them, but it would take too long to remember each. By the way, I never got your name."
Yune thought about giving her name, but then thought that Venomion was too strange a name to be real. It must have been an alias, she thought. However, she didn't mind. She was sure she had her reasons.
"If you're named Venomion, then I will be... Chain-Killer Queen," Yune replied.
"Chain-Killer Queen? Awesome!" Venomion shouted.
"You really are a child. Not that I mind. All Light Guardians are children. Well, except for one, but she's now in a child's body anyways," Yune muttered aloud.
"So, Chain-Killer Queen, I think we should team up. Imagine what we could do - what we could accomplish. You and me doing odd-jobs together. The perfect duo," she replied eccentrically.
"No thanks. Not interested. The name I gave sounds ridiculous, yet if I make a superhero comic, I'll be sure to include it. My real name is Yune. You can keep calling yourself Venomion, if you'd like."

She looked confused and replied, "Well, of course, my name is Venomion."
Then, she shook her head and continued, "Anyways, besides the point, Chain-Killer Yune, I am serious about the offer. Although the money part is there, we could do so many things to help out the neighborhood."
Yune did think about the offer. It was tempting, and she did enjoy Venomion's energetic attitude. As she continued to think about it, Venomion kept talking like a sales-person, "You and I can be the ultimate duo. You wouldn't even need to do anything different. You would distract them and get shot at, while I go in and do the rest. Now, that I said that out loud, I don't think I'm making my case."
Yune replied without hearing anything that Venomion was talking about, "Odd-jobs, huh? Like just doing random work. Well, as of now, I don't really have any plans. If I can stay here, then I'll help you with whatever work you need, as long as it isn't for any bad guys or whatever."
"Well, bad and good depends on your point of view. A spider's actions are bad and chaotic to a fly. A farmer's actions are good to the people who eat his livestock, but I bet the livestock don't think that way."
And Yune stood there surprised and silent. And when Venomion saw her, she exclaimed, "What? Did I say something wrong?"
"Nothing. I just wasn't expecting, uhh, you to be giving a philosophy lesson."
Venomion smiled. "You really think so? Hah! I was just saying something I saw in an anime!"
Then, Venomion laughed. And as she laughed, Yune began to smile and laugh, too.
They transformed out of their guardian forms and enjoyed the rest of the night. Venomion felt it was like a sleepover, while Yune was glad to have someplace to sleep.
And while Yune slept peacefully, she muttered a couple of words, "Eli... Mizu..."
Venomion listened and thought those were her friends, but as soon as she saw Yune tearing up, she also began to get sad. Although, she didn't know why.
The next morning, Yune and Venomion hung out on the rooftop. It was a pleasant day with a cool breeze. Venomion transformed. A bunch of snakes slithered over her body and the next moment, they flattened into clothing. Then, with a smile, she sat down.
They ate some bagels for breakfast that Venomion stole from one of the bakeries nearby using her snakes. For the most part, Venomion stayed in her Light Guardian form. She felt safe in her green cloak with her hood up and sleeves down.
Yune was aware that the bagels were stolen, but understood their position. Yune didn't have any money, and she didn't think that Venomion had any either from the way she's been living. But then she remembered that she stole a bunch of money and jewels from the gang hideout. She became confused, but more importantly, her stomach was growling. She took a bite without trying to think about it. She decided to try and make conversation. She said, "Y'know, taking these bagels would be seen as evil by the baker, right? Does that make us evil?"
Yune felt awkward saying that, but the girl didn't listen. Instead Venomion was silent as she ate and looked up at the clouds.
Yune decided to as well, but really didn't feel any comfort at looking at them. They were just a bunch of blobs. But to Venomion, she liked making little pictures out of them.
And as soon as she finished eating her bagel, she jumped up and shouted, "Alright, partner. Let's go do some neighborly good deeds for a price!"
Yune stood up and transformed into her guardian form.
"So, what do we do? Fight some thugs? Apprehend bank robbers?" Yune asked.
"I think you've been reading too much comic books," Venomion replied.
"I would say that about you."
"Nothing too fancy. If we find something like that, we can do it. But I actually have the perfect job."
