The next day after stealing the kill of a Night Demon and becoming introduced to three Light Guardians, they all went back to school as if nothing has changed.
The world kept spinning. People kept working. Nothing's changed.
When Mary, Jack, and Yune arrived at school, each one froze. They eyed three other girls who were just talking amongst themselves. It was the three Light Guardians they saw on top of that building last night. They didn't notice them, and slowly they backed away and hid in a corner.
The three whispered amongst themselves occasionally looking back to see if they noticed them.
Mary whispered, "They go to the same school as us? That has to be some strange coincidence."
"Well, it's not like they would recognize us," Jack said.
"That's true, but we shouldn't let them figure us out, either," Yune said.
"They'll be a pain. We should just deal with them and be done with it," Mary said casually.
"Deal with them? How?" Yune asked.
"It's strange, but I agree with Mary," Jack replied, "I don't know why, but I'm getting an urge to just... kill them."
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
"Kill? We can't just go around killing other Light Guardians," Yune said.
"Why not? Why can't we just behead them and get it over with? I don't see a problem with it. We're not Light Guardians ourselves anyways," Mary said.
"Because it's morally wrong. I can't believe I have to explain this," Yune replied.
"Morals? Morals are just in the eyes of the beholder. A spider's morals are different than the fly's. And I'm sure that they are thinking the same," Mary argued, "Those Light Guardians won't think twice about killing us. They were just lucky that they didn't decide to attack us last night."
"Alright, how about a vote, then," Yune suggested, "I say we try to ignore them, or better yet, get along."
"Well, I'm not one for voting, but I'm for getting rid of them," Mary said.
Jack looked to both of them, but was unsure. She still felt something stirring inside of her that wanted to kill those Light Guardians, but she wasn't sure why.
"I...", Jack said, "I think we should at least talk to them, first. Killing them might be too much. I don't think they know what we are. Hell, I'm still not 100 percent sure what I am. But if they knew we were some kind of monsters, then they would have attacked us on that building there rather than talking to us. But if they do find out, then they will deal with us just like how we would deal with Night Demons. So, let's try talking to them, first, and then if things don't work out, we can fight them. But I don't want to kill any of them. Just to either get them to not bother us, or hunt Night Demons somewhere else."
Yune nodded. "So, it's settled, then. Let's meet up after school and try to ambush them. But don't do anything during school to make them suspect us. Our masks hide us, but the marks on our arms do the exact opposite. Keep your sleeves rolled up, and don't let anybody see them."
Mary sighed in disapproval, but agreed anyways.
