Kira had already dropped her friend, Harry, to his place safely. She didn't sense any Night Demons nearby as she walked towards her own home. It was getting late. The moon was covered in clouds while only the street lamps could illuminate the neighborhood. This part of the city was quiet compared to downtown. The center of the city was still rustling as usual. Lights at every corner.
But Kira was not there. She moved through her dark neighborhood as usual. If there were any Night Demons she would sense them, and usually there were many near these hidden places. The houses themselves looked decent. Neither too eccentric nor run-down. It wasn't a very dangerous neighborhood either, but she was still cautious.
She was glad that Harry was safe. It was all she could think about. She didn't have a single thought about Mary at the time. She assumed that she learned her lesson. Still, she was planning on letting Anne and Nina know what happened, but it was too late. She could call them, but she didn't want to disturb them this late and it could wait until tomorrow, anyways, she thought. She began to walk faster towards home as she knew her parents would be worried. She didn't even want to check her phone for missed messages.
As she walked further down, she began to sense a Night Demon. A chill went down her spine.
"C'mon. I'm already running late," she complained aloud. Kira transformed and dashed towards the creature. She sensed it coming from behind her and she hurried over. She hoped that she could defeat the monster quickly, so she went directly at it.
She approached the park. It was dark. The lamp posts were shattered.
The trees blocked more light coming in from the already cloud-covered moon. It was almost pitch-black. But Kira was not afraid. It was just another Night Demon, she believed. If it was too much to handle, she would retreat and call for her two friends to help. But with the new powers she obtained by fighting Mary, she thought that she could handle it herself. She walked straight into the dark park with invigorated confidence.
She became very strong after her fight with Mary, she thought. She was sure that she couldn't lose to any Night Demon now that she got this boost of power and confidence. Her abilities to manipulate plants was improving and she felt that she could get even better.
As she walked further, she sensed being closer and closer to the Night Demon. She felt no fear from the darkness. She brushed off branches and bushes. Eventually, she reached the Night Demon. It was an small field surrounded by trees. The Night Demon was small and had three bulging eyes. It was salivating all over. It had two bat-wings and three long elongated legs covered in knives. However, she wasn't the first one there. The clouds moved away from the moon and shined a light above the small opening withing the park.
She saw the large, red-armored Light Guardian already standing atop it's head. Kira remembered her name. It was Jack.
She had forcefully ripped off the creature's long legs and wings with her bare hands, all while the creature was still alive. And it stayed alive squirming, but with no chance of escape.
"Ghouliga. Ghouliga," it cried.
Jack didn't look at the creature, but stared straight at Kira. Although, Kira believed that they were all Light Guardians, she knew that she was in danger. There was a feeling of a lion looking at an antelope. After her fight with Mary, she should have known that her other two friends would get revenge. Kira didn't know whether she wounded Mary enough to kill her, but she didn't care. She only cared about getting through this night. She wondered where
Jack crushed the creature's head in one stomp leaving only a black goo which started to vaporize into the air. She breathed hoarsely. Her red eyes glowed with the intensity of the sun. A mark also began to glow among a shroud covering her arm. A mark looking like a hieroglyph of a snake. However, Kira was unaware what any of that meant. She didn't know anything about guardians brought back from the dead nor did she ever think about that.
As soon as Jack took a step forward, Kira was about to create a dagger when suddenly lines of chains sprung up from the ground as if they were laid beneath the dirt. The chains first tangled Kira's arms preventing her from creating any magical daggers. Kira gasped as the chains began to tangle all around her body. They wrapped themselves around the forest attached to the surrounding trees.
In the end, she was wrapped like a fly in a web of chains. Atop of one of the branches, eyes of white could be seen piercing through the darkness. Yune. She held her chain in one hand and the hook with the other as she looked down at Kira with unnerving eyes. A car mark could be seen atop her shrouded right arm.
Yune jumped down to the open field alongside Jack.
"We hoped you would come after this Night Demon. I had to drag it closer to where you were so you would sense it," Jack said annoyed.
Kira tried to struggle, but every time she moved, the chains constricted her even more. She coughed out blood trying to get out, but eventually she stopped and the chains relaxed.
"Damn it. Do you think you can get away with this?" Kira said as soon as she was able to.
"Yeah," Yune replied calmly.
"What? Did I really hurt your friend that badly!?" Kira yelled angrily without a shred of sympathy, "Your friend's a monster. I didn't plan to hurt her, but she gave me no choice. And I'm glad I hurt her. She deserved far worse. Did she tell you that she turned Harry - I mean a bunch of students into her plaything?"

Jack shook her head and then said, "That does sound like what she would do. If you had told me at an earlier time, I may have cared."
Yune paid attention to the name of Harry. He sounded like somebody important to Kira and wondered if she could use that to her advantage.
Both Jack and Yune was somewhat aware that Mary must have done something horrible to provoke Kira, but in the end, neither of them cared about it right now. They believed that Kira saw and suspected too much.
Yune spun her hook around her arm and asked, "So, what exactly do you think of us? Do you think we're monsters like Night Demons?"
Kira spit on their metal boots. She noticed that Mary was nowhere to be seen. She ignored their question and taunted them, "I guess little Mary couldn't make it. Did I manage to put her in a coma? Maybe, I killed her? Is that why you're here? To exact revenge? If you do anything to me, Anne and Nina will make you suffer far worse than whatever you plan to do to me."
"You're a lot more confident than what I previously thought," Yune said.
Jack and Yune both just looked at Kira with unnerving eyes. They were still unsure about what to do. Yune didn't want to kill Kira unless she really had to. And Jack would kill her without a second thought if she believed that Kira was like Annie, but her new experiences have shaped her perception of Light Guardians. Neither of them wanted to kill her just yet.
Jack angrily questioned, "Damn it! What the hell do you think of us!?"
Kira laughed and replied, "I think you're the most disgusting and vile Light Guardians I've ever met."
Once, they heard her say the word "Light Guardian", Jack and Yune knew that Kira was aware of nothing. If Kira suspected them of being something other than that, then she wouldn't have called them that word.
Jack and Yune looked at each other and nodded in agreement. They both knew that she knew nothing. But that didn't mean they would free her without any conditions.
Jack turned around and replied, "Looks like you do know nothing. That's very lucky for you."
Yune followed suit and threatened, "Uh-huh. But that doesn't mean we'll let you go without warning. Let's make a deal. I'll free you if you don't tell Anne and Nina about what happened. And if you do tell them, then we'll go after that boy you mentioned. What was his name again? Harry. Shouldn't be too hard."
Kira exclaimed, "You wouldn't - you wouldn't dare!"
"I would," Jack replied, "I may not go after regular people, but I'm not so sure about Yune."
Yune and Jack turned their backs to Kira and began to walk away.
"I will let you go. But I will warn you, if you try to move before we're gone or create any daggers...," Yune said without even looking back, "...you will die."
The chains around Kira loosened and quickly jolted back. All one chain came back together towards Yune's arm. Kira landed on the grass staring at their backs. She felt a flurry of rage swelling within her. She felt the need to protect Anne, Nina, and Harry. Especially, Harry. She wouldn't let Harry be in any more danger after what happened today.
Their backs were turned and, they were vulnerable to an attack. Kira felt confident enough to be able to either maim or kill one of them before retreating. And this time, she really meant to kill. She did believe they were Light Guardians, but they acted more like thugs and monsters. The world would be better off without people like them, she thought. They were a distance away, but Kira knew that Jack was more suited for close-range, while Yune's chains would take time to reach her. Kira's daggers were faster and flew further than what those chains could achieve in the same time.
After she planned to throw the dagger, she would retreat and call her two friends. Then, they would be able to end this fight tonight. If all three of them teamed up, then Jack and Yune wouldn't stand a chance.
As soon as Yune's chain fully wrapped itself around her arm, Kira saw her chance. She wanted to aim for Yune, since she was far more likely to get hurt compared to Jack. A bright light enveloped Kira's hand in creating her dagger. It was too fast for anybody to react, except for one.
As soon as Kira's dagger was in the process of being made, a quick flash and cut zoomed past her.
Blood spurted out. Large claws tore straight through Kira without any resistance. The arm that was creating the dagger was cut cleanly. And Kira's body was intact, but full of rips and tears. She couldn't even feel it until it was too late. When she did, she couldn't even cry or scream as blood filled her lungs.
Kira laid on the ground motionlessly. Kira had a look of surprise as she faced Mary standing above her.
It couldn't be, she thought. She was so self-assured that she had beaten Mary to the point of being sent to the hospital. Kira was in utter disbelief, but the pain was more extreme. Even though, she could move her body, she still felt the unimaginable pain like she was being eaten alive by wolves.
"Surprised I'm better? Nothing a couple hundred black coins couldn't fix. Even though, I couldn't argue, I still feel ripped off about that," Mary said as she stared down at Kira's dying body.
Yune and Jack both walked over next to Mary and looked down at Kira.
Mary's purple eyes. Jack's red eyes. Yune's white eyes. All of those eye glowed in the moonlight. And their marks glowed as their whole body became shrouded in a dark fog. Mary's crow mark. Yune's cat mark. Jack's snake mark.
Even if Kira didn't attack, the three of them were still going to kill her. If Kira told Anne and Nina what had happened, then they would have to fight a losing battle.
The conditions for Kira to be free from Yune's chains was to never tell anybody about what happened. Even if Kira was compelled by the threat of Harry being hurt, it wouldn't last forever, and that by itself was a chance. The only sure way that she wouldn't tell was to be dead.
Kira tried to create one more dagger with her other hand. As soon as Mary noticed a small light being made, she took the claw on her index finger and cut that hand clean off. Blood spurted all over the grass.
Mary felt her mask being loosened and tore it off. It took some effort, but as she pulled it apart from her face, she felt a feeling of relief. A heavy breath came inside her as the mask turned to black smoke and vanished. Her skin was dry with cracks. Blood began to drip out of where the mask was stuck to.
Mary smiled with ecstasy and looked down at the dying Kira. She still had some resolve left to live.
Kira wouldn't accept dying. Not yet. She wouldn't let them beat her, but even she knew that her mangled body couldn't be repaired without the help of the shopkeep. And even if she did manage to call him, she didn't have any black coins to use.
"You have some endurance, girl. It would have been so cool if you didn't try anything, but she did warn you. Although, I guess it wouldn't have mattered," Mary taunted, "Maybe, I'll go take a visit to Harry's place. He will need some comfort knowing you died helplessly here. I can probably give him that. Maybe, I'll force him to fall in love with you to the point where he couldn't live without you. Wouldn't that be romantic?"
Kira tried to resist death. Her spirit was strong, but her body was too weak. She wanted to choke Mary to the point of death and do it again and again. She never felt so much hate until now. Her eyes swelled up with pressure. Every second she tried to move, her body would get colder to the point where she didn't feel anything.
Kira Lin died believing that she failed to protect Harry; that she failed to save Harry from those three monsters; that she failed.
