Levi opened his eyes; his head was pounding, and his back felt pained in more than one place. The leg that Tyrese had used to throw him felt like some muscles had been torn in the process. It was pitch black, the car hit a bump and Levi hit his head on the roof of the trunk, that’s when he figured out what was happening.
He heard Tyrese’s voice through the seats in the back of the car.
“I picked the lock, got inside all nice and quiet. It was going smooth until this chick went psycho and shot me.” Tyrese was interrupted by an onset of coughing. “I think she hit my lung, man. I’m coughing up blood, you gotta send someone to meet me halfway. I need help.”
The car slowed down and made a sharp turn onto a much bumper road. “I’m pulling into this forest, I’ll text you my location. If only I brought a damn syringe, you’re sure just drinking Leviathan blood won’t fix me up…. Damn yeah, I don’t want that. Hurry up and come and meet me…. shit's getting real hazy right now.”
Tyrese was quiet for another moment and the car stopped, Levi hoped that he had finally bled out and began to feel around for a way out.
“You’re awake finally. We’re going to wait for my brothers and sisters to get here.” Another coughing fit stopped him from talking. “Oh shit, no service. It won’t send. This is going to suck for you.”
Levi desperately felt for a way out but found nothing except a couple gallon cans of gasoline and some kind of tool kit. “You see, I’m gonna pass out here in a minute and I can’t send my location to my brothers and sisters. Can’t go back to the street because cops will be on us immediately, so I’ll have to break your neck to make sure you won’t get away. Don’t worry, from what we know, that shouldn’t be too big of a deal for you.” Levi heard the car door open and began to panic, he knocked the gasoline over and it began to spill everywhere. He looked in the toolkit for a tool, he found something heavy and metal, it felt like a wrench. He gripped it tight. The gasoline had drenched everything, his hands were slick, and the smell was overwhelming.

As he heard Tyrese get closer, Levi prepared to attack with full force. The trunk swung open and Tyrese reached in and grabbed Levi’s throat with both hands, pinning him to the phase of the trunk. He swung and hit Tyrese in the forehead with the wrench. Tyrese let up for a second and ripped the wrench from Levi’s slick hands with ease, but then went back to strangling Levi. Levi failed and tried to escape, frantically searching through the toolkit for some kind of weapon. While searching, the Second can of gas was knocked over, further soaking Levi who was trying to fight off Tyrese and covering him with gas. Levi felt around more and found something. He realized it was something that was going to be a double-edged sword to use, this small metal object was his ticket back to freedom.
Tyrese looked at Levi who had a devious look on his blood red face. As Levi began to lose consciousness and darkness overtook his vision, he flicked open the small lighter he had just found and lit it. The fire ignited them both almost instantly.
Tyrese fell to the ground and began screaming so loud that it would make someone’s ears bleed if they were around to hear it. But no one was around for dozens of miles in the snow-covered forest that Tyrese had driven them in, using unmarked roads and paths to get them here. There wasn’t a single soul there to witness the inferno that was consuming both men as well as the sedan.
The fire burned for some time before finally dying down, leaving behind the burnt wreckage of a car and 2 charred corpses beyond any recognition.
The smoke cleared and more clouds rolled in, the blizzard that everyone was preparing for was finally about to hit. When it did, all main roads were shut down as 6 feet of snow filled the forests and in the mountain town of Heart. The snow covered both the corpses of Levi and Tyrese, as well as the car that had brought them there.
The storm lasted for 3 days, shutting down a series of mountain towns in its wake. Finally on the 4th day it cleared, and the mountain towns were returning back to being functional again as everyone returned to their normal lives.
But Levi and Tyrese remained in their tomb of snow, tucked far away from civilization and away from anyone that would find the abhorrent scene that is their death site. Tucked away in the mountains, beneath the snow was the answer to Alice’s burning question. ‘What happened to Levi?’
