15. True Colors

The Men pulled in front of an Arlington Storage Facility and dragged Lexi into

the large building. She had tried screaming but her throat was shot and nothing would

come out. Once inside the building they took her to a dimly lit storage locker that had

nothing but a bed in the middle. At that moment Lexi wanted nothing more for them to

just kill her. She prayed for a miracle in her head as she silently screamed as they began

to chain her to the bed.

As they finished chaining her up, all the men gathered around her and watched

her pointlessly fight and struggle, trying to break free. Finally, she started to lay still and

quit struggling. “Are you done?” The man who was in the driver seat earlier began to

speak to her. Then a dark realization overcame her as Lexi recognized the voice of one of

“Uncle….Tobias?” She was in disbelief that a man she had known for so long

men. They went after sisters, mothers…. And daughters. Now it’s time for us to get our

retribution.”

“But this was all so long ago, why now? Why me?” Lexi pleaded.

“Because taking down men like these takes time and patience. As for why you, its

because we know one day you’d grow up to be just like him. We’ve seen it happen too

many times already. This corrupt cycle of hateful and bigoted people putting their own in

power to replace them. “One of the other masked men said as Tobias began to unbuckle

his pants and position himself on top of Lexi who had begun to struggle against the
