42.Beat Hu Yijian hard

My sudden appearance left everyone in shock. Su Jie exclaimed in delight, "You're not dead?"

"Great, Xiao Wei Gege, I knew you wouldn't easily get into trouble!" Li Lin also shouted happily.

Everyone seemed very happy, except for Hu Yijian, who appeared as if he had been struck by lightning, reacting to my presence as if he had seen a ghost.

"Wei... Wei Ge..." Hu Yijian stammered, his voice trembling, sounding like a duck being strangled.

Without saying a word, I walked straight towards him, kicked him in the knee, and Hu Yijian was immediately knocked to the ground. I picked up a nearby bamboo stick and started beating him mercilessly. The sound was loud, crackling.

In no time, Hu Yijian's face and body were covered in bruises, looking rather picturesque. He wailed miserably, sounding like a pig being slaughtered.

Su Jie coldly watched Hu Yijian, nodding her head, "Back at the company, I had wanted to beat him up a long time ago. The company he runs is a mess, and he always relies on his old man's connections to snatch our projects. It disgusted the hell out of me!"

Li Lin seemed somewhat reluctant, but she turned her head away without saying anything. Xu Xiaorong glanced at me, recalling Hu Yijian's earlier words, and showed a thoughtful expression.

Only Qianyi unexpectedly ran over to stop me. She threw herself onto Hu Yijian, standing between us. "Xiong Wei! You've gone too far. How can you hit someone like this? We're all stranded on this deserted island; we should support each other..."

Her actions only fueled my anger. I didn't bother explaining anything, gripping the bamboo stick, and coldly said, "Get lost! I'll count to three, and you immediately move away. Otherwise, I'll hit you too!"

Qianyi, upon hearing my words, froze. She probably thought that with her intervention, I would stop. She truly overestimated herself! Ignoring Qianyi's request, she felt her face was at stake, standing there with her snowy white neck, and shouted, "If you want to hit him, then hit me first today!"

Listening to her, I took a deep breath, and a glint of coldness flashed in my eyes. "I've lived for more than twenty years, and I've never hit a woman. Don't force me!" I declared coldly.

"Xiong Wei! I didn't expect you to be like this. I was blind to be with you in the first place! Are you so heartless now? Haven't you ever loved me?" Qianyi felt wronged, looking at me with teary eyes, appearing very sad.

I almost laughed. "Love? When I talked about love and feelings with you before, you emphasized status, money, and said it was strength. Now, I talk about strength, and you start talking about feelings again? Do you know that the man you want to protect just pushed me into a trap, and I almost died because of him? Do you understand? Get lost! Immediately move away; this is my last warning!" I said coldly.

Qianyi stood there, completely stunned. My words left her speechless, and tears began to fall. With her innocent appearance and tears streaming down her face, she looked incredibly pitiful. There was a time when I couldn't stand to see her cry, but now I found my heart calm as dead water, devoid of any feelings.

"Your tears used to be a powerful weapon, but unfortunately, they have no effect on me anymore," I said calmly, sensing that the youthful innocence of the past was gone, never to return.

In the end, Li Lin pulled Qianyi away. I walked over and resumed beating up Hu Yijian.

"Wei Ge, I really know I was wrong. I won't dare to do it again. Spare me, please! I'll do anything you want, and from now on, I'll be your dog!" Hu Yijian cried and pleaded, tears flowing.

Others were afraid I might beat him to death in a fit of rage, and they all tried to persuade me.

"Let it go, Xiao Wei. Killing him would only dirty your hands. You don't need to bear the guilt of taking a life. Once the rescue team arrives, if they find out you killed him, you might end up in jail. It's not worth it!" Su Jie sighed, offering her advice.

I nodded, "Don't worry. I know how to control myself. I won't kill him."

In the end, I broke the bamboo stick I had been using, leaving Hu Yijian covered in bruises, with his head swollen like a pig's. Even a slight touch would make him wince in pain. Only then did I stop.

"Just you wanting to kill me? This time, I'll just take a little interest! I'll find a way to slowly finish you off in the future!" I thought silently to myself.

With the temporary resolution of the Hu Yijian situation, everyone couldn't help but ask about my experiences, curiously looking at the military knife and coat I had set aside earlier.
