Shatter The Bad Ending!
Slumbering Sword (4)

Slumbering Sword (4)

After donning my mask, from the balcony above I jumped.

The cushion of the red carpet below made no sound as I land.

With quiet steps, I walked towards the sword no longer shackled by chains as it stood.

It brimmed with benevolent light, illuminating the cathedral ever so slightly.

Yet no admiration came from me, only dread.

I climbed the stairs beside and walked past Millia who was breathing faintly.

I paid no attention to her nor Reynold who was in front of the sword.

I then reached out to it, my fingertips now touched the handle.

I tried pulling it from the ground yet it would not budge.

I then held it with both of my hands and spoke.

"I know you're here,"

A deep voice flowed through my mask.

The sword remained static not reacting in any way towards me.

"Archdemon Azrael,"

"I can feel your hidden hatred beneath this light,"

No reaction, the sword was still.

"I can hear your silent screams echoing within this blade,"

From my chest, I drew my dagger.

I got it close to my palm and then,

Blood now dripped from my hand and into the sword.

As it did, the benevolent light was now fading, its malice was now returning.

Veins of blood soon enveloped the blade, assimilating and combining together.

A head with horns and eyes deep as the void soon arose from behind.

"FREE AT LAST, A FALSE GOD DARE IMPRISON ME,"

It spoke while more veins kept constructing its body.

Soon I felt small as it stood over me,

"Human, I thank thee, for freeing me,"

"What do you want? Fame? Women or perhaps power?"

"Whatever you want, I'll grant it,"

A cheeky smile was on its face promising me to grant any wish I had but,

I know they were all lies an act to amuse himself before making my head roll to the floor, that body only lasts a minute after all, soon he would need a vessel.

But that's where he would be most vulnerable.

"I want,"

"Yes...." Its hideous smile grew,

"You to kneel,"

A roaring laughter soon came out from the demon shaking the entire cathedral.

"That was a pleasant joke, human,"

He then crouched, I can smell its disgusting breath as he looked into my eyes.

"But no god nor man would ever make me bow,"

"Now," A terrifying pressure soon came out of him, no longer bound by any chains, it was the true and unfiltered fear of a demon, "Kneel, so I may render your flesh into nigh,"

I soon fell to my knees,

He then picked his blade like a feather from the ground.

"Can you feel it, my sword hungers for blood."

He raised it up to air leaving his red gaping heart open not yet protected by the veins of blood that were still assimilating in his body.

One chance, I have one chance.

I quietly reached into my chest and grabbed the handle of my gun.

Enveloped in dark, I hid it while I crouched.

"My sword shall taste sanguine once more,"

*BANG*

The humungous sword soon fell to the floor beside me,

"Wha-what," He then looked at his chest, his heart lay open and a lead bullet was stuck inside.

He then fell to his knees,

"How-how are you able to move,"

I soon stood up unaffected by his pressure,

As he bled, the sword by his side soon died, and the light of Aether enveloped it once more.

His body started turning to ash his eyes deep as the void looked at me as he crumbles.

But soon it would be scattered along the wind, the breeze now carries his remains.

The only thing left of him was the lead that was stuck in his heart.

I soon picked it up in order to not leave any evidence.

[Mind of the Murderer cannot be used again after 24 hours,]

My emotions soon rushed back into my mind and as they did I struggled to keep myself standing as I breathe heavily.

Ho-holy sh*t, that actually worked, I actually pulled it off, ain't no f*cking way, oh my god, holy hell.

I stood there trying my best to calm myself but my hands were still shaking as I could not believe my plan actually worked.

Then a transparent blue screen soon distracted me from my thoughts.
