Chapter 89 : Almost Free

Chapter 89 : Almost Free

By the time Aaron finished his meal and had enough enjoying his bath with Paws which kept begging "Father" to allow her to stick closer to him.

"Now instead of just drying myself I'm supposed to dry you too huh! I guess combing your fur is also in order huh! Can't you see that your spoilt attitude is making Nephrite jealous?"

*Meow*

*Click* *Click*

Paws looked towards Nephrite and made the most adorable face ever as if to say : "Please!"

Nephrite looked at the little sucker with its compounded eyes before hitting its mandibles against one another as if to say : "Little one, don't you think you're getting a bit ahead of yourself here? I'm supposed to be master's favorite here!"

The kid smirked once he saw Paws shivering in his embrace after getting intimidated by Nephrite but he quickly wore the Spider-Silk Top which Sophia made for him and climbed on top of Nephrite then relaxed on her back while combing Paws short fur.

'So far my Water Resistance has improved by +3 points, whenever it rose up I'd feel less and less cold but this Black Sap is already starting to fade away and I don't think I'm going to gain any more from it before my skin regains its natural color.' He thought before retrieving a contained full of Black Sap and patting Nephrite's back to fly out towards the storage building.

Once he reached there Aaron Teleported inside and kept everything within his Inventory Space.

Afterwards he closed the door and stood alone in the dark, spacious, and empty room before activating Identify to improve his Vision then spilling some of the Black Sap on the floor, on himself, and on the walls.

Abyssal Extract : Liquid Form, Cold.

'Does that mean there's other forms to this so-called Abyssal Extract? Solid or gaseous maybe and with different effects other than cold!' He thought while watching his skin and the room getting covered completely in a layer of black which made this place feel like a freezing tundra within the arctic.

"So the effects of this Abyssal Extract do actually stack up?" Aaron muttered while retrieving the ingredients and materials which wouldn't spoil in this extremely cold environment before leaving the storage room and closing the door behind him.

"Hey little thief, you better not enter this room unless you want to become a popsicle." He looked at the Red Squirrel which was running on the walls of his house and stalking the storage room.

*Ku-Ku*

"Humph. You little bastard think too highly of yourself, be careful not to slip up and fall from there and break your twig-like neck." The kid rolled his eyes once he saw the Buff-Tail Skipper stand on two legs and point at him as if to say : "How dare you malign me? Don't go around tarnishing my unblemished reputation!"

Aaron ignored Sherry's arrogant pet and wrote on the door of this storage room which officially became a refrigerator "Be careful, extremely cold inside!" Then emptied the rest of the ingredients in another empty storage room before taking Paws and Nephrite back to his place on the top floor and choose an empty room to paint completely black with the Abyssal Extract before sitting alone inside.

'Improving every single one of the Resistances should be listed as one of my top priorities as well as improving my Skills or Abilities.' He kept encouraging himself with similar thoughts while shivering from the cold.

For two hours the kid watched his HP bar shrink to lethal limits despite the Recovery Skill being active then he would be forced to drink some Potion or consume some Food to push it back within the safe limits then watch it deteriorate once again in a cycle of pain and danger.

Once the Abyssal Extract's effect wore off from his skin, Aaron was so exhausted both physically and mentally he left the room and fell asleep in the bathtub once he soaked his body in hot water.

When he woke up he found the 3 "Drunkateers" sitting around his bed and looking at him as if he's some exotic animal in a zoo!

"What?" He asked while getting up from bed and scratching his butt on his way to the bathroom.

"Hours ago you were so strong that all 3 of us would lose to you even if Sera helped but now you're so weak I can crush you with a single thought!" Lucy slurred her words while sipping from her cup.

Aaron answered : "Well. Sorry to disappoint and... you can always try but that's when our friendship is going to end for good, my true enemies don't live long. Also haven't you heard the saying "Don't judge a book by its cover"?" Before closing the door in their face.

Nina and Heena looked at their sister before rolling their eyes while feeling helpless at how stupid she can be.

Meanwhile inside the bathroom Aaron was enjoying his time while scrolling through the System notifications which he was too distracted to look at by the effects of withstanding 2 layers of the Abyssal Extract.

'I've improved the grade of my Water Resistance from [Average] to [Above-Average+1]+7% and gained +2 points increase to Concentration plus +3 points increase to Stamina! This Abyssal Extract is awesome.'

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Once he got outside he saw Nina playing with Paws while Lucy was getting kicked away whenever she attempted to approach Nephrite!

The kid ignore there 3 "Drunkateers" who intruded into his living space and started filling his stomach while collecting black mud from the forest because he needs to prepare a big order of red sand for old man Vogen.

Once there was enough black mud in his Inventory Space, he went towards the poisonous lake where he trains his Energy Bolt and Flame Orb Skills and spent a few minutes evaporating the rest of the murky green water completely dry with his much stronger and faster maxed Offensive-Skills.

Finally the location where Sera's Poisonous Stone-Centipede exited from the ground was revealed, the opening of the tunnel was still filled with poisonous water but Aaron was satisfied with his achievement for now.

At the lake's edge retrieved all of the black mud and had Nephrite's Royal-Guards create an opening at the foot of the small mountain of black mud and an exit similar to a volcano's vent on top before tossing two Flame Orbs inside the opening and Teleporting away.

Once he saw the color of the mountain change from black to red he gave it a few more minutes before flying on top of its vent with Nephrite then dumping water on it which cooled its high temperature while also breaking its solid composition.

Afterwards he kept the mountain of red sand within his Inventory Space and went back towards the balcony on his backyard then activated the diagram and left three piles of red sand next to the massive holes which the Centipedes created the day before.

Once he returned back to his house he left another pile of Erebus-Wood on top of his house where his roof is supposed to be built then looked Eastwards where dawn revealed itself.

"Time for my morning exercise." Once he Teleported to the gates of his house the kid saw the soldiers gathered there in rows and separated into groups, the ones responsible for each group were standing there and waiting for him.

Sherry had the biggest group while the rests had less numbers of soldiers standing behind them.

Roger was standing there yawning like a lazy lion.

Manji was talking with her group and all of them seemed to be enjoying the conversation.

Rhinne was sitting and her group were busy studying the difference between the four Quivers worth of Arrows which the boy gave her earlier and enviously looking at the Bow on the holster strapped to her waist.

Aeona's group were the most wild of the bunch and all of them were tall, big, and muscular.

For some reason Pio and Lucas's groups seemed at odds just like their two leaders.

Aaron looked at the group of soldiers which had no one standing in front of them but despite lacking a leader these men and women were smiling smugly because they've been already informed that their young master Ron is going to be the one giving them orders and the ones they follow.

"Are you ready?" The kid spoke softly and most of the soldiers couldn't even hear him at all but every single one of them was feeling an explosive surge of power coursing through their bodies!

The boy smiled once he saw the shift of reaction on the faces of these men and women before running towards the West-Gates of the Village while saying : "Let's go!"

"Yes young master Ron!" What answered him was a unanimous response from everyone which shook the whole Village.

The ones who were still lazing on bed were rudely awakened by this sound-wave.

Ria pulled her daughter Flora by the hand once she was about to follow the army of soldiers then entered the empty house with Betty, Sophia, and old man Todd.

Shane followed along with his father's group and was feeling proud of himself since he's running in the front lines.

An hour and a half later the boy returned with his army of soldiers which were dragging their feet behind him from exhaustion.

Even the veteran experts of these soldiers were surprised after seeing the effects of these simple training routines.

"Who would've thought that jogging, jumping, and climbing rope ladders would be so hard?" One of the soldiers of Aaron's group muttered while looking at the kid who's covered in sweat just like them but unlike most of these soldiers he actually completed the training menu without fainting from exhaustion.

Of course young kids feel less tired compared to an adults but its still extremely hard for them to train like adults in the first place.

"First take a shower and clean yourselves up before anything else. Dismissed." Aaron looked at the soldiers and ordered before heading to the balcony on the backyard where Cassandra, Tylus, and old man Vogen were waiting for him.

'I better Level-UP Mystique-Door Skill, I'm curious about what kind of Evolution is going to happen to it.' The kid thought while using one of the 8 available Neutral-Class Skill Points to push Mystique-Door to Level 3.

Mystique-Door Uses Mana to generate a Magic-Door which leads to a pre-set destination.

Enables one to enter and exit until it disappears.

Other can use the Magic-Door with one's permission. Mystique-Door Level 3 Mana Points Cost 2000 Requirements 8 Magic Rocks Duration Spawns a Magic-Door Portal for 8 Minutes Proficiency Points 2/100

Afterwards he received three notifications with familiar details.

'So Mystique-Door Skill's Evolution is called Sublunary-Portal huh! Unfortunately it's too expensive for me to make the Evolution happen right now because I don't have half a Million Gold Coins on me, but at least it lasts much longer now.' Aaron thought before activating the diagram.

"I've already transported the red sand and the rest of the materials I can transport to the construction site once you've gathered them you can just inform me and I'll make it happen." Aaron said while pointing at the three piles.

"Good, good. You're ahead of schedule as always, it's good to be young indeed." Old man Vogen patted the kid on the shoulder before gesturing for the workers to follow him then entered the portal.

Cassandra smiled towards Aaron before doing the same.

"Not you." When Tylus was about to follow his friends he got stopped by the boy who pointed towards the roof while adding : "Your task is waiting for you up on the roof, you asked for it and now it's time for you to show me what you can do with it."

Tylus's nail-like hair vibrated from his extreme excitement once he heard what Aaron said then asked while holding him by the shoulder : "Really?"

The kid nodded before saying : "Yeah really, now get to work."

Tylus gestured to his men to follow before running up the stairs.

'Time to hit the bath.'
