*Sigh*
"I feel bad for little Snow." Nina looked towards Aaron and sighed before shaking her head.
He looked back at the unit of Heavy-Cavalry which is following the Centipede and ignored the woman completely because he understands why she said what she just said.
That girl Snow was the only one taking care of the boy which he inherited his body a week or so ago, but Aaron isn't the same person.
He won't fake his own feelings for anybody, it indeed makes him look ungrateful, cold, and emotionless towards a person which he owes a lot!
But... the reality of things is entirely different.
Snow must've tried doing her best to take care of here little rascal Ron and it's admirable of her, however... that person was lost forever once Lucas and his men tossed him in the Abandoned Ancient-Well.
It wasn't her fault that her little rascal Ron was a hothead but Aaron wouldn't lie to himself or to Snow on this matter.
He's grateful to the girl who took him from the outlines of the Dark-Forest when he was at his most vulnerable state, he's grateful to Snow because she left him some Coins before she left.
But that debt doesn't mean that he's going to act that part of being someone which he isn't.
Nina noticed how Aaron wasn't showing any signs of interest in the topic and had a clear lack of paying any attention, "That little sister of mine wouldn't shut up for the past few days, going on and on about her little rascal Ron this and her little rascal Ron that.
"How she found you in the Dark-Forest a few years ago, Snow said it happened south of Pine-Breeze Village at the edge of the foggy territory where the Wolves of the Wolf-Gang roams the forest.
"That day she was feeling so hungry and extremely angry with the people of her Village, Snow got so fed-up with the way they treated her and finally decided to leave the Village for good and find somewhere else to live where people would actually care if their neighbors are healthy or in need.
"Once she found you Snow says she thought you were already dead because you were so quiet despite being a pale, weak, and obviously hungry just like herself at that time.
"All she could remember afterwards is being so afraid of getting found by some stray Beast from the forest or by the Wolves after picking you up from that tiny hole, that's why she ran and fell then picked herself up from the ground only to keep on running until she fell and just couldn't get herself up on her feet again.
"That's when you two met danger and all Snow could do is hug you and cry.
"But she says you kept looking towards the Beasts as they approached you two and never looked away.
"That night you saved her and she'll always be grateful to you for what you did, afterwards she swore to repay you by protecting you but she failed to do so.
"The day this man and his followers threw you in the Ancient-Well she noticed how you changed, Snow knows that she failed to keep her oath to you." Nina looked away but her eyes had tears within them and she struggled to keep them from coming down on her cheeks.
Aaron looked at his maid and found her tightly hugging her pet and burying her face in its fur to hide her emotions, Lucas was feeling uncomfortable because he's the reason all of this started, Pio was giving his young master Ron an odd look while dying to ask how did he save Snow.
The kid finally opened his arms and shrugged while saying : "Well. I guess that's why you shouldn't make promises you can't keep!"
"Young master!" Sherry glared at him.
He looked towards his maid and frowned while asking : "What?"
The teenager girl puckered her lips and pouted, "You... you're being insensitive towards Snow! I also feel bad for her now because you're being unfair towards her, that's all."
"Heh." Nina laughed and gave Sherry a gratified look.
Aaron just rolled his eyes and kept his silence because the past didn't interest him since he isn't even the same person.
He retrieved a mattress from his Inventory Space and simply laid down then closed his eyes to sleep while thinking : 'I'd rather focus my thoughts at the important stuff here people! Things like my Skill Levels and how much can I improve my self in the future are much more interesting to me, I finally pushed Flame Orb Skill to Level 2 today and Energy Bolt also gained a Level.'
Energy Bolt Fire condensed Mana that explodes on contact with an enemy Energy Bolt Level 4 Mana Points Cost 50 Damage 181% of M/Attck Max Enemies Hit 4
The kid smiled faintly before surrendering to sleep.
Flame Orb Creates and throws two burning orbs causing both direct and splash damage at targeted enemies. Flame Orb Level 2 Mana Points Cost 25 Direct Damage 157% of M/Attk Splash Damage 67% of M/Attk Number of Attacks 2 Max Enemies Hit 6
He woke up and spent a couple hours watching the scenery travel backwards around them while the Poisonous Stone-Centipede never stopped moving towards the East then took another nap before waking up to find the stone-walls of Rotten-Swamp Village a kilometer or so ahead.

"Welcome to our Village young master Ron." Marshal Cesar shouted from on top of his War Horse before urging it to go faster and his unit of Heavy-Cavalry did the same.
First-Lieutenant Carson retrieved some kind of horn and blew at it at a certain rhythm before shouting towards the gate and saying : "Open the gates! General Cesar is here."
Aaron and the rest could see from their high point of view when some of these soldiers ran around on top of the walls and threw orders to others and seconds later the 6 meters high and 15 meters wide iron gates started to slowly open.
But someone shouted something and the iron gates were quickly sealed shut once again!
"What is the meaning of this?" Carson was livid with rage and shouted towards the top of the stone-walls.
Marshal Cesar frowned and looked up towards the walls before asking : "Where's Dalair?"
*Hahaha*
"Rotting in the dungeons of course!" Afterwards a stalwart man in a Silver Armor approached the rails on top of the stone-walls and looked down at the Heavy-Cavalry unit at the gates before adding : "Alongside your men and their families, the ones who tried to open the gates earlier were the few fish that somehow managed to escape the net.
"You should all drop your Weapons and surrender right now, we can also fight if you want.
"I'm certain we can delay you long enough if we play defense thanks to these sturdy stone-walls which you spent so long building for us Marshal, by the time you overcome them it'd be too late because the Specter Army was already on its way here when you made the foolish decision of letting Dalair take care of the fortress while you're gone."
"Kaiser! How dare you stab us in the back?" Carson's eyes were burning with fires of pure hate and anger.
Marshal Cesar looked at the people standing next to Kaiser one by one before saying : "Kirston, Kyrin, Kain, Kaling... I've always heard rumors about the four of you siding with Kaiser to gain the favor of the Specters but I just couldn't believe them because I know what that house did to all of you in the past."
Three man and a woman stood there next to Kaiser but almost all of them were avoiding the old man's gaze, some seemed ashamed to look Cesar in the eyes at that time while some seemed helpless to stop all of this from happening.
"General. Let's storm the fortress, I don't care if I'm going to die but I'm breaching the gates." Carson looked at the men behind him and most of them nodded in agreement.
*Sigh*
Marshal Cesar released a sigh before looking back but his gaze was directed towards the guests which stood at a distance and watched.
'Kaiser and all of these short-sighted fools didn't notice neither Poisonous Stone-Centipede nor the ones standing on top of it at all, that Whispering Sister must be an expert in the Illusion-Techniques.' The old man gestured for his men to calm down before looking at the one who orchestrated this whole betrayal operation and opened his mouth to say : "Kaiser. I'm going to have to disappoint you."
*Hmmm*
Kaiser squinted his eyes once he saw the lukewarm expression on the General's face, seeing him so calm in this situation made the stalwart man feel worried and that's why he looked towards the unit of Heavy-Cavalry and said : "All of you listen up!
"I'm guessing you must've been in a hurry to return once you heard the news about us taking matters into our own hands in the fortress and that's why you left the Archer and Heavy-Infantry units behind and rushed your way here.
"You can't do anything to us without Archers, War Horses are useless in a siege battle, you lack the numbers without the Heavy-Infantry unit, and you're going to waste all your precious time if you try building simple ladders!
"Surrender now and live or waste your chance in continuing to do so by listening to this old fellow who refuses to accept that he's serving a house which is long gone."
The silence which followed Kaiser's words was heavy and he enjoyed seeing the effect his words left once he saw expressions of doubt surface on more and more people when the mental-pressure started to kick in.
*Clap Clap*
But the whole joy of Kaiser and his followers was rudely interrupted by a slow clapping which broke the silence and scattered the stifling air which descended on the Heavy-Cavalry unit.
"Who goes there? Stop hiding like a coward and come forward for daddy to see you." One of the soldiers on the walls looked towards the source of the sound and shouted while squinting his eyes to see further in this dark, cloudy, and moonless night.
"Shut the fuck up fool." Aaron blasted the fellow to bits with an Energy Bolt and three of the soldiers standing next to him received the same gruesome and savage treatment.
The bloody sight was dreadful to look at and the soldiers on the stone-wall hurriedly retreated more than a dozen or so steps backwards which left a wide and spacious area vacant on top of the wall.
*Step* *Step* *Step*
The slow sound of his feet landing on the exoskeleton of the Centipede echoed everywhere in this silence and frightened the soldiers which took a few more steps backwards whenever the kid took a step forward.
They could hear but not see which put them on a great mental-pressure.
"Hey old man!" Aaron finally appeared on top of the stone-wall 50~60 meters away from the west-gate where Kaiser and his goons stood looking down on the Heavy-Cavalry unit, "How about this? Ever tried riding your War Horses on top of the walls? Come give it a try if you didn't!" Meanwhile the Poisonous Stone-Centipede's body was like a bridge linking the ground below to the top of these stone-walls.
*Screech*
Once the soldiers which noticed that their frightening enemy is just a kid were about to advance towards Aaron, the oversized Bug opened its mouth and warned them while its pair of antennae flailed left and right to send the ones within range flying!
'Easiest 100k of Exp ever!' Aaron thought to himself while checking the notification window in front of him.

"Hahaha... Attack!" Carson was already urging his War Horse to run towards the Centipede's tail and the Heavy-Cavalry unit was hot behind him.
"Stop them!" Kaiser was already panicking because he of all people is more than aware what Heavy-Cavalry can do to soldiers, not to mention the Elite of the Head-Reapers Army while being mounted on well-trained War Horses.
"Kaiser, Kirston, Kyrin, Kain, Kaling... you all know best how we deal with traitors don't you?" Marshal Cesar said before slowly leading his War Horse towards the Centipede to ascend the walls, "Men. Whoever dares to resist... kill without mercy! Spare those who surrender and put them in chains until they face their trial, send a few teams to set our relatives free." The General was an expert in handling these situations and threw orders left and right once his War Horse landed on top of the walls.
Like magic the majority of the soldiers dropped their weapons and fell to their knees while the ones still holding theirs were shaken from fear, running away to flee the chaos, or staring around in confusion while not knowing what to do.
