"Yeah. You're "Special" indeed... even now I still cant believe how natural it feels for me to treat you like an extremely intellectual and experienced adult! I do find it difficult to imagine how is it possible for someone to become like you at the age of five, but that's what I'd love to have if I ever had a kid of my own." Sen expressed his opinion while looking at the boy as if he's some type of wonderous mystery personified.
Sherry nodded repeatedly before handing the boy his Brush which he kept in his Inventory.
Aaron is aware that most of the people living in this Pine-Breeze Village already know about his abilities to conjure fire and wind or summon various creatures and make things disappear only to summon them back if he feels like it!
That's why he had no problem using one of his abilities in front of this smart fellow.
"I'm flattered if you see me this way but you're still wasting both of our time, if you're not going to say it then you don't have to." He said before pointing towards the five shells and adding : "But these big babies stays until you guys are willing to pay a satisfactory price for them."
The man nodded before saying : "The details of our main goal are not for me to decide on my own, but that doesn't mean we can't make a deal for these shells or not reach an acceptable agreement if we don't reveal that information."
Aaron also nodded when he heard Sen say that because he agrees with him completely on that point, simply because his schedule is quite busy and he does have his own plans.
There's no need for him to entangle himself in something that might not benefit him at all.
'Curiosity killed the cat Aaron! There's things that you shouldn't even know for a reason, focus on yourself first before whatever mess is happening in is this world drags you into it. Safety first, then adventure comes later, let's not get ahead of ourselves and suffer a premature game over.' The kid kept his mouth shut and didn't say anymore because he could feel it in his gut, this conversation is bringing him closer and closer to an ending which he isn't going to like... not a single bit!
Sen sighed inwardly after seeing the boy ignore him and focus on the next plate of food he summoned instead of his guest.
'He really isn't going to bite the bait I dangled in front of his face, his instincts are either sharper than Roger or he knows that I'm inviting him to a trap! Any of which means that I failed, but the latter means that I might be in danger. I've got to know if I'm safe first.' The man thought deeply for a few seconds before saying : "Young master Ron. I have another suggestion, would you be willing to hear about it?"
Aaron looked at him with an emotionless expression on his face which reveal nothing of his feelings at all to Sen who's desperate to read it, "Shoot."
'Is he telling me that I'm already marked as a target?' The man felt a trickle of cold sweat travelling down his spine when he had this thought but he quickly got a hold of his emotions.
"I'm willing to be your spokesperson and guarantee you a fixed income of Gold Coins if you agree to supply my house with Mice fur and bones." Sen said and waited for the kid to give him an answer.
Aaron replied with the same flat expression on his face, "That works for me, but that's a simple exchange and I still don't see where and how these shells are included in this deal of yours exactly?"
The man released an inward sigh of relief when he heard what the boy said while thinking to himself : 'Phew. I'm safe! You can't make a deal with the dead after all.'
Sen stifled his excitement while saying : "I'll work for you for free."
"Why would you do that exactly?" Aaron said before adding right afterwards : "Please don't say because you're generous, I might take an arm or a leg if you do."
The man shivered under that serious and sharp gaze before shaking his head, "Of course not!" Afterwards Sen gathered his thoughts in order first before continuing to say : "The ultimate goal in this venture is still these five shells.
"Don't get me wrong! I wouldn't dare take advantage of you, young master Ron.
"I'm offering my connections, my hard work, and my time for this deal.
"While you, young master Ron, are going to provide the materials I use for trade plus these five shells and nothing else.
"Meanwhile I'm going to provide you, young master Ron with a steady and constant supply of Gold Coins without bothering you with the boring and tedious matters and details that comes with operating this whole business venture.
"So! What do you think of these terms?" Sen asked and his eyes brightened because so far this deal is more than excellent for both sides.
The kid enjoys peace and quite while filling his coffers while the man gets busy handling all the work for him while keeping his life!
Yes Sen is destined to exhaust himself and might have to dig deep into the tank to actually make it work, but that still beats being dead in a ditch somewhere.
Aaron looked at him and slowly gave a short answer, "I'd say give me the price for these 5 shells first, then tell me how much do you think I'm going to earn from the fur and bones from each Fuzzy-Phosphorus Mouse in that deal before telling me how much Gold Coins should I expect from you everyday, and for how long should I expect to get paid in the future."
Sen inhaled deeply before releasing that breath then started with : "That's fair," Afterwards he stood up and started walking back in circles while thinking : 'He's certainly giving me the chance to live here but that doesn't mean he isn't going to make me live if I don't give him the best offer in this deal,' Despite his worries the man continued to say : "Since it's possible for us to use these 5 shells to cover the western-walls of the Village entirely.
"We could also do the same to the northern and southern-walls if we separate the upper and the lower parts of each shell.
"Then I'd say the cost is only going to be fair once we calculate the estimated worth it's going to cost my house if we're going to replace out wooden-walls remake them out of stones instead.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"It's just not possible for me to estimate the duration or the amount of installments we're supposed to pay you for these shells unless we do so first."
Aaron smiled and interrupted Sen's thoughts at that exact moment by saying : "But!"
The man didn't seem to be bothered by the kid's interruptions but he was giving quite a scare once he noticed how the boy is able to keep up with his thoughts so easily, "But, the same can not be said about how much we should pay you, young master Ron for the fur, bones, and meat of these Mice.
"None of the profit from these deals is going to be deducted at all, I'm still going to play my part of supervising the distribution, recording each and every deal made selling any of these materials, and providing the biggest market possible for these materials through my connections... of course!"
Aaron echoed Sen's final words, "Of course." Before smirking then stuffing another piece of meat into his mouth and chewing lazily.
Sherry rolled her eyes at the kid who's clearly toying with teacher Sen's emotions and felt sorry for the man's fate after he fell in the hands of this young master of hers.
Unlike his brother before him which had big sister Manji looking after him and saving him from suffering a similar fate, this poor guy is alone.
'Now that I think about it... teacher Sen has always been alone, he always had this sad aura of loneliness around him.' The teenager girl thought while looking at the man who struggled inwardly with his thoughts in silence.
Finally Sen seemed to have made up his mind in the end, "The market price for the Mice' leather is around 60~70 Gold Coins per an intact belt, a complete set of bones should be around 80~100 Gold Coins.
"Meanwhile the meat on an adult Fuzzy-Phosphorus Mouse should weigh around 50 kilograms on average, but we can estimate it at an additional 20 kilograms because we need to include the heart, liver, and some other parts on their bodies.
"So I suppose it's somewhat fair to say the flesh should be worth 210 Gold Coins on average.
"However, it's likely for the prices to increase with time since the demand for these materials is always insufficient to saturate the market." The man looked at the kid and waited for him to say anything at all.
But Aaron stayed silent without showing any expression on his face and kept on eating while thinking to himself : 'None of the leather on the Mice I killed was intact but I bet their belts would sell for, at least, half the price so that's, at least, 150 Gold Coins worth of leather on the Five Mice Roger took.
'There's also another 5, almost complete, set of bones which should be worth another 400~450 Gold Coins.
'The meat on the 5 Mice' bodies was a bit mangled here and there but there should be enough meat to be sold for, at least, 600~700 Gold Coins.
'That's more than double the amount of Gold Coins I have on me right now.
'I can't believe that silly-looking big guy actually managed to snatch this expensive meal from right under my nose just like that! I've been careless.' The kid felt like he should probably give himself two tight slaps on the face right now to wake himself up.
Aaron finally raised his face to look at Sen and the man was given a scare once he noticed pure fury burning within these pair of eyes on that cute and childish face!
"Y-young master Ron... I-I apologize if I've said anything to annoy you... W-we can always discuss things further if the deal is-"
"You wait here." Aaron interrupted the man who warily took a step backwards while stammering once the air temperature dropped suddenly.
Afterwards the kid jumped down from Sherry's thighs, "Pio, Lucas. Grab your weapons and get your asses here quickly."
"Yes young master Ron!" The two men quickly moved to retrieve their Spears which they left in the area where the workers leave their belongings because most of the times there's no need to carry these long Spears since the swords on their waists are more than enough to provide protection for their young master.
Only in certain situations where they're leaving the Village or following their young master somewhere would they hold on to these Spears.
"You should go get yours too," Aaron ordered Sherry who was confused by this request and stole a fleeting side-glance that's full of worry when she looked at her teacher Sen, "Don't worry about him, he might look helpless but don't be fooled by appearances. Do as I say and don't forget to bring me a Spear too."
Aaron and Sen exchanged a long look after left, through that ocular exchange... both of them noticed different meanings which were buried deep within these eyes!
'He didn't buy into my act earlier and I only made a fool of myself for no reason at all. Sigh... what a tough nut to crack!' Sen thought while avoiding eye-contact.
Afterwards the kid ignored the man and walked towards the busy area where the ceiling of his basement is currently being covered with a wooden-mold by the carpenters after the pillars which are going to carry the foundations of his house were completed.
"Everyone!" The kid cupped his mouth with his hands and hollered to grab the attention of the workers in this area, "Stop what you're doing and go take a break or keep watching if you want, you doing either is fine by me but don't get in the way of me and my people."
Aaron started descending the wooden stairs and walked towards the location where he set and linked the destination between to completely different and extensive areas, his eyes could see the lines and the complicated inscriptions in the star on the concrete ground clearly but everyone else wouldn't be able to see or notice any trace of this weird and unique diagram at all.
The men and women at the construction site quickly did as they were told and cleared the area, but none of them left and all of them gathered around the edge of this place to watch from their elevated location.
While the people talked in hushed and faint whispers, Pio, Lucas, and Sherry came running down on the stairs while holding their Spears.
The teenager girl was different because she was holding two spears.
Aaron took the Spear from Sherry before retrieving an Extreme Red Potion and a Candied-Apple from his Inventory.
After drinking the Potion and Eating the Candied-Apple the kid nodded in satisfaction once he saw his Statistics change which made feel like he's checking the Statistics of a completely different person.
Especially his Magic-Defense once he activated his two Defensive-Skills!
"Listen here you three, you're here to protect me when necessary and to watch each other's backs." Aaron looked at his maid and two guards before stepping in the diagram.
"Yes young master Ron."
"Only kill when I order you to do so, let's begin." Afterwards he sacrificed 240 Points of his Mana to activate the Mystique-Door Skill then drank a Mana Elixir to refill his MP bar to the max.
*Om* *Crackle* *Whoosh*
After the muffled explosion and the bolts of lightning, the same ball of pitch black darkness appeared once again.
*Squeak* *Squeak*
"Come you lovelies! Time to fill my empty bags." Aaron jumped from the boundaries of the diagram and watched the bright pairs of eyes glow in the dark from the bright side.
Meanwhile Sen stood within the crowd and watched everything with a pair of eyes burning with greed and impulsive hunger.
But the fire within his eyes completely disappeared when the scholarly-looking man closed his eyes for a few seconds and breathed deeply to calm himself.
However, once he opened them Sen found a pair of eyes staring right at him before the kid smirked as if to say : "I'm on to you, careful now because I'm watching!" Then Aaron moved his lips silently to say something which only the man could understand.
"Young master Ron, what did you say? I couldn't hear anything at all because of these bloody Mice!" Pio asked after seeing his young master move his lips yet he couldn't hear anything.
"Nothing, get ready!" Aaron ignored his bodyguard and turned his attention towards the Mice which gathered on the other side and clustered against the invisible barrier.
*Scratch* *Scratch* *Squeak*
While Sen and everyone else watched the Fuzzy-Phosphorus Mice scratch in vain and attempt to reach their targets which dared to intrude into their territory and provoke them with this bright light.
The man crossed his hands and thought : 'Enjoy the show huh! Show me what are you capable of then.
'I've seen a Barbarian Chief shatter an entire mountain and blast it to smithereens with a single punch.
'I've also seen a Whispering Sister from the Sisterhood's Main-Branch dominate an entire battlefield with single word and force hundreds of thousands from the Dynasty's Elite-Knights to submit to her will.
'You might be the most amazing kid I've ever seen or heard of in my life, but... I seen greater things in life as well.'
