Chapter 63 : Max

Chapter 63 : Max

System : Host gained 10 Exp

Every now and then the kid would discover some creatures worth killing then Aaron would either use Trible-Stars or Energy Bolt to end them.

But even with the 60% additional Exp thanks to the Experience-Buff, most of these creatures rewarded less Exp than the Fuzzy-Phosphorus Mice.

Whenever the time of Lucid Nightmare's domain was about to run out he'd go back to the Village and wait the Cooldown to pass before going back to explore the canyon.

"Come on... Why don't you Level-UP? Triple-Stars has done so long ago already!" He was feeling a bit frustrated.

Triple-Stars Use Mana to hurl three objects at enemies from long distance. Trible-Stars Level 2 Mana Points Cost 20 MP/Sec for each projectile Damage 90% of M/Attk Max Enemies Hit 3 Proficiency Points 3/200 Notes

* Mana cost increases depending on the weight of the projectile.

* Projectile's speed decreases depending on its weight.

* Damage increases by 30% if Host chooses to target a single enemy and apply the hidden effect "Astral Detonation".

Meanwhile on the window of the Teleport Skill, there's a piece of confusing detail because the number is blurred which makes it seem like it's must've stuck somehow between the numbers 98 and 99 on the Proficiency Points bar!

Aaron glared at the window, "What kind of bull shit is that?"

The reason he's so annoyed by this glitch is because the kid is so close to Leveling-UP to Level 5.

He wants to know if there's any noticeable difference or clear change after the Teleport Skill upgrades to higher Levels, after all Arron only receives 3 Skill Points with every Level-UP.

So far Mana Points Boost, Mana Armor, and Magic Guard have proven themselves very useful, earlier the kid allowed a few harmless-looking creatures to land a hit or two on his body and watched his MP and HP bars receive deduction of points.

Of course he was also prepared to Teleport away while being fully alert to Stun whatever danger long before it could reach him.

Not to mention that he was ready with an expensive Healing Potion in his hand if the damage he received is higher than Aaron expects.

The other hand had a bottle of All-Cure Potion to handle the pain from any nasty attack.

Sadly for his weak and low-Exp opponents, the creature which gave him the highest damage was some sort of Wasp!

"It actually stole 64 of my HP bar with each attempt to sting my body, I only gave it a Second to but it actually attacked me three times with its stinger before I got rid of it... it also gave me higher Exp than the Fuzzy Phosphorus Mice. Should I go look for their hive?" Aaron muttered before Teleporting away from the Village and going back towards the area where he met the creature which was three times bigger than the biggest Yellowjacket Wasps back on earth.

'Humph. Finally the number of Proficiency Points on the Teleport Skill settled on 99 huh! Whoever bastard that made this System is leaving me hanging on purpose for sure.' The kid thought while looking for creatures to kill, he decided to keep giving it his best to Level-UP to Level 5 while grinding with maximum activation of Teleport.

System : Host gained 25 Exp

Finally after looking around the area, Aaron found another Wasp and got rid of it, the total of base-Exp plus the +60% bonus from Experience-Buff was 40 Exp.

"It won't be long before sunrise, I better Level-UP first and think about a solution for Teleport's malfunctioned Proficiency Points bar later, it's taking too long for me to gain that last Point... That's what I'd really call a "dick-move" from the System!" The kid finally decided to focus on reaching Level 5.

*Buzz*

'Another one! That way... I only need 220 more Exp, 7 more Wasps would do.' Aaron thought while activating Nimble-Feet and moving with care while making sure his steps are as quiet as possible.

He found two Wasps moving between the trees and targeted one of them with Trible-Stars.

*Bang*

The other Wasp targeted Aaron once its partner got intercepted by 3 Throwing-Stars and got itself blown to bits by the hidden effect Astral Detonation!

But its fate was not different because 3 more Throwing-Stars found its body a split-second later afterwards.

The kid discovered 4 Wasps once he moved a couple hundred meters in that direction, unfortunately this time he couldn't get rid of all 4 of them without receiving some attacks from the one which successfully attacked his right shoulder before he Teleported a few meters away then blasted the Yellowjacket with another Triple-Stars.

'Their numbers are increasi-' Aaron suddenly heard the notification tone which only happens once he gains Proficiency Points and his eyes fell on a leaf of the Skill-Branch related to his Magician-Class, 'Please don't be on Triple-Stars!' He thought before smiling widely once he saw the result.

Teleport Allows host to Teleport a set distance to other locations in the surrounding area. Teleport Level 2 Mana Points Cost 50 Maximum Horizontal Distance 150 Maximum Vertical Distance 275 Proficiency Points 0/200

"Let's find out if there's any difference since I needed to go back very soon anyway, but I better find another one of these bastards to kill first." The kid muttered before Teleporting 30 meters vertically to stand at the branch of a nearby tree then frowned because there's nothing bothering him at all despite having just activated the Skill which always left him feeling not good and that's at least!

The narrative has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the infringement.

System : Chaos Resistance +1

"So that's why! I was so focused on the Proficiency Points I gain from activating the Skills, I almost forgot the rest of notifications." Aaron discovered that his Chaos-Resistance has improved in quality from [Above-Average] to [Rare] +3%.

'Come Wasps! I don't have time or patience to waste on you.' He thought while activating Teleport for the second time to arrive at another tree branch which is more than 60 meters away and a few tens of meters higher than where he stood earlier.

"Finally more of you guys, but this time I could feel the nausea kicking in... my limit of consecutive activations of Teleport should be around three or four max." He pointed the curved end of his Staff at the group of Wasps and activated Trible-Stars after targeting one of them with the Skill.

*Bang* *Buzz* *Buzz*

System : Level-UP

"So long suckers!" Aaron immediately Teleported 150 meters away and disappeared right in front of the remaining Yellowjacket Wasps which couldn't detect the location of the one which provoked their group, of course the kid also activated Hero's Echo Skill within his words earlier which weakened the Constitutions of the Wasps within its range and decreased their speed.

Unaware that his voice reached a some Wasps about 700~800 meters deep into the canyon in the direction he was headed towards, only each and every one of them had silver lines on their backs between the black and yellow.

Their size was two-times bigger than the average Yellowjacket of this world which is about the size of Aaron's head, not to mention the huge amount of common Wasps which started to sweep the area like a deadly current of black and yellow!

Aaron returned to the area near the Village before Teleporting to a secluded part on the walls to rest, without hesitation he added all 5 Ability Points to the Intelligence-Attribute.

'On the Branch of Neutral-Skills... I'm shelfing the Identify Skill for now, Monster-Tamer it is then.' Aaron unlocked the Neutral-Class Skill of Monster-Tamer then opened its window to check the details.

Monster-Tamer Enables one to use Mana to cast a brand on a monster to create a special bond. Monster-Tamer Level 1 Mana Points Cost 150 Requirements 1 Summoning Crystal Duration 5 Seconds Cooldown 3 Minutes Proficiency Points 0/100 Notes

* Host is required to directly touch the monsters during the attempt of taming for 5 seconds until the result or the brand is announced by the System.

* The monster being targeted must have a total count of Basic-Five Attributes less than 50 higher than the Host otherwise the brand would certainly fail.

*Rumble*

The kid patted his belly before Teleporting once again towards his house this time, he's already feeling sleepy on top of being hungry anyway so he might as well go back and rest after eating his meal.

"There's still 3 Skill Points waiting for me to allocate but I'm feeling torn between increasing my M/Def or my MP bar after seeing how easy I can receive damage from these Wasps." Aaron took a seat on the recliner and muttered while stuffing his mouth with food.

'Having higher amount of MP means being able to take harder hits without dying but having higher M/Def means taking less damage, they do indeed go hand in hand but I just don't really know which one am I going to need... maybe I should focus on not getting hit in the first place and push Teleport to the peak first!' He thought before remembering that he still didn't test his limits of endurance while using the Teleport Skill.

"It'd be really unfortunate if I get so nauseous and have to repeat my last meal from the very beginning." The kid muttered to himself before Teleporting then doing it again once he appeared and doing it afterwards but his face after Teleporting 3 times was pale white.

Aaron understood that he might succeed in Teleporting one more time but he was certain that he's going to empty his stomach in both failure or success!

'Fuck it, I love it... so I'm doing it.' He thought before raising Teleport's Level from 2 all the way to 5.

Teleport Allows host to Teleport a set distance to other locations in the surrounding area. Teleport Level 5 Mana Points Cost 120 Maximum Horizontal Distance 210 Maximum Vertical Distance 330 Proficiency Points Locked(Max-Level)

"I actually maxed Teleport!" The kid immediately noticed how the borders appeared a lot further than he used to see once he activates the Skill, "1, 2, 3, ... 5, 6, ugh! Still annoying to feel this nausea though. Time to sleep anyway." Afterwards he went to bed and Sherry woke him up 30 Minutes later.

"It's dawn already," Aaron rubbed his eyes before opening the Store Menu to find the so-called Summoning Crystal which he requires to activate Monster-tamer, "So that's it! Is that obsidian?"

Summoning Crystal Description A Mysterious Crystal full with Dark Energy

Maximum Number 100 each per Inventory slot Refunded For 1 Gold Tradability Tradable Notes Careful carrying it in your hand, especially around monsters.

'Isn't this the same as the Darkness Seal?' He thought while quickly storing the pitch-black Crystal inside the Inventory Space.

By the time he finished his meal, Sherry was already wearing her pink clothes and waiting for him to go have their morning exercise.

At the gate of his house, Pio, Lucas, and Shane were waiting for them.

Todd, Betty, Ria, and Flora who stood there staring in despair at the kid's back after she measured and confirmed it again after standing next to him and finding herself a couple inches shorter than him already!

"Auntie Betty! What have you been feeding Ron? I want to have some too, humph." The little girl concluded that food is the reason since her mother keeps telling her that she's not going to grow bigger unless she eats well, and the kid practically never stops eating unless he's running his mouth.

"This kid..." Ria shook her head helplessly before heading towards the garden to take care of her task.

Betty just smiled and took Flora with her to the kitchen.

Around the time Aaron's group returned from their morning exercise, Roger and Manji arrived and seemed ready for another round at the basement to slaughter some Mice early in the morning.

Especially the muscular big guy, he didn't even want to leave last night but Manji dragged him by the ear so that they may do a different activity just the two of them.

"Not until you guys send these Mice carcasses to your brother Sen and have my basement cleaned of all traces of blood, do that while I go help Mr Smith and pay a visit to grandpa Sid." After saying so he took Sherry with him and left the house.

Lucas took his son and went back home also, Pio shamelessly tried to sneak up on Betty and have some fun before taking a bath but he almost got found out by Flora and had to escape quickly before she recognized him.

Still, hearing his woman's amused laughter lit a fire within him since he felt like his pride just received a few wounds!

'I feel pathetic having to run from a kid, but young master Ron is also a kid so... I wouldn't be feeling ashamed at all if I had to run from him! Honestly I'd be extremely proud of myself if I managed to pull it off someday.' Pio quickly resolved the moral-knot and grinned.
