Bliss and Lati stepped into the red room. The wet stone of the room pulsated as if alive. Before the two demonic woman was Snek. The black- and gray-clad jester was kneeling in front of a pulsating mass of red, her back to Bliss and Lati.
Bliss’s golden eyes went to Snek, and her bunny ears twitched. Is she praying? She shifted her gaze to the throbbing mass Snek appeared to be praying to. What the hell is that thing? The disturbing, beating mass looked to be wet with red water. Is it some sort of freaky statue? Wait. Her golden eyes narrowed. Where have I seen that? Her eyes widened in realization. That drawing Snek had accidentally shown us. It was of that thing, wasn’t it?
She took a step forward, and the world flashed gold. What the … Golden chains appeared and bound her and Lati. What the hell is this? Bliss’s large bosom bulged out from between the golden chains as she struggled against them to no avail. Damn it! Did I walk into a trap?! Her eyes went to Lati, whose own bosom heaved as the snake woman struggled against her own golden chains. A soft blush formed on Bliss’s cheeks. Now is totally not the time for those kind of thoughts. Bliss turned her attention back to Snek.
Snek rose up and turned to Bliss and Lati. “It looks like you two lost your rolls.” Her high-pitched laughter echoed, her brown eyes flashing red from behind her mask.
“You bitch!” Lati hissed, her long tongue flicking out in anger. “This was supposed to be a joint operation! What about our cut?!”
“Your cut?” Snek wagged a finger dismissively, her brown eyes meeting Lati’s crimson. “Is that all you are worried about?” She laughed a high-pitched laugh. “Do not worry. You will get your cut.” She looked to Bliss, and her eyes flashed red once more. “You both will. You see … You both get to be sacrifices to my lord and master. How is that for a cut?” She started laughing again, almost doubling over.
Bliss pulled at the chains again. Damn it. If I could just break these damn chains … Wait. Both her ears and tail twitched as a thought came to her. I can move through shadows with my Shadow-Step skill. Maybe … She closed her eyes and tried to slip out of the chains through the shadows. And nothing. Well, that was a fail. I guess I cannot escape these chains that easily.
Snek turned her back to the two bound demonic women, her brown eyes going to the disturbing statue of red. She clasped her hands together in a respectful motion. “Please accept these sacrifices, my master.” She stepped aside and laughed again before plopping down against the wall.
A pair of eyes opened on the grotesque, red statue, and a wave of nausea ran through Bliss. What the hell? Her head started pounding. Is this how I am getting sacrificed? Her stomach churned, the contents of which threatening to overflow her lips. She fought to keep it down. A splattering sounded beside her, and her ears twitched. It sounds like Lati is having worse luck than me in regard to keeping it down. She pulled at her bindings. I seem to be getting weaker. I really am going to die if I cannot do something about this.
Bliss glanced to her side, glanced to Lati. The snake woman’s eyes were closed, and she was not moving. Her complexion was deathly white, yet she still seemed to be breathing. Trickles of red ran from the corner’s of her mouth, and additional blood had been splattered in front of her.
Lati … She puked blood … She is running out of time … I have to … Bliss’s golden eyes went back to the grotesque statue, its glowing eyes still open. I have to save her. Bliss’s head became fuzzy. I have to … do something … Her eyelids grew heavy. I have to … save us both.

Bliss’s golden eyes snapped open. What the hell? She glanced around. Where am I? She was still bound by the golden chains, but she was no longer in the red room from before. A red sky stretched overhead, and a soft red ground was beneath her. Like the red room from before, this place possessed a pulse.
“Hello.” A voice called out, seemingly coming from nowhere.
“Who are you, and where is this place?” Bliss pulled against her bindings, but said bindings refused to budge.
“Who am I?” A tall figure in a red cloak materialized in front of Bliss. “I am the god of red, and this …” He extended his arms to his sides, the skin of his hands ivory. “This is the red, my domain.”
“The red?” Bliss blinked, her bunny ears twitching cutely. “Is that red dungeon yours?”
“It is.” The god of red leaned closer to Bliss, his face close to Bliss’s. However, his red hood hid his features. “You are in the process of being sacrificed to me, but …”
Bliss blinked, her interest peaked. “There is something more to this?”
“Snek came to me for power.” The god of red stepped back, still facing Bliss. “I obliged her, but you … You have potential. Prove yourself to me.”
“Prove myself? How?” Bliss pulled at her bindings again. “In case you haven’t noticed, I am kind of bound right now.” Her golden eyes lit up as a thought came to her. “Undo these bindings.”
“Undo the bindings?” The god of red just stood there for a moment. “Did you … just try to charm a god?” He started laughing. “A lowly succubus charming a god. Don’t be absurd. Still …” He stopped laughing and stepped up to Bliss, his attention on her bindings. “I could break those chains, but there is no need for me to.”
“No need for you to?” Bliss blinked in confusion, her black succubi wings fluttering a bit. “Are you saying that I already have the strength to break them?”
“No.” The god of red stepped back. “You will not break those chains. You and that snake-woman friend of yours would surely die first.”
“So I am going to die.” Bliss’s gaze turned into a hundred-yard-stare. “I am going to die.”
The god of red shook his head. “You are not going to die, at least not like that. Someone has been following you.”
“Following me?” Bliss’s bunny ears twitched as the sound of metal on metal rang out. Her bindings dropped away.
“And there it is.” The god of red looked into Bliss’s golden eyes. “You are free. Now prove yourself.” The red, the god of red’s domain, faded away.
