Chapter 20: Lake of Red Water

Lati leaned towards Bliss. “You OK?” The snake woman’s crimson eyes were on the bunny succubus, her hands behind her back.

“I am good now.” Bliss stretched her arms back and then hinged at her hips, stretching her black succubi wings. Her white bunny ears gave a cute little twitch. She straightened up. “Thanks for the help. That shadow stalker nearly killed me.” Her golden eyes went to the remains of the referenced monster.

“Don’t mention it.” Lati smiled, her long tongue flitting out. She glanced to the lifeless shadow stalker and then returned her gaze to her friend. “So … How many potions do you have left?”

Bliss checked her inventory.

“I have one left.” Her golden eyes met with Lati’s crimson.

“In that case …” Lati started rummaging through her fancy, green dress. “Here we go.” She pulled out a corked vial filled with a milky, white fluid. “Take this one.”

Bliss took the offered potion and stashed it in her inventory.

“How many of these potions do you have anyway?” Bliss’s golden eyes went back to Lati, and her bunny ears twitched.

Lati giggled, her tongue flitting out cutely. “I have two left, so we both have two now.”

Bliss giggled too, bringing her right hand up to her lips. “I guess that makes sense.” Her eyes went to the golden door. The likeness of a lion displayed on the surface of said door, and its handle was modeled after a lion’s head. “Guess we should see what is behind this thing.” She reached forward and grabbed the handle. It is warm like the other one was. What is it with the doors in this dungeon? She twisted the knob-type handle. A quite-noticeable click sounded, and she stepped back as the golden, lion-themed door swung towards her.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

“Is that a lake?” Lati poked her head through the doorway and stepped through. “It is a lake. Well, its a red lake.” The snake woman’s tongue flitted out as she spoke.

Bliss followed Lati through and found herself in yet another cavernous area. The stone was not any different here. It still possessed that same light-blue base coloration, and the density of the red-speckles in it looked to be about the same as the red-speckle density from the last area. Bliss’s golden eyes scanned across the area. She found no small puddles of red water here. Lati had been right though. There was a red lake further ahead. At the other side of said lake, a passage led even deeper into the dungeon. The only two exits were the door the two of them had entered through and the passage beyond the red lake.

Her golden eyes fixed upon the lake, a shiver running through her. Why is that lake given me the creeps. Her gaze softened. Yet there is something welcoming about it. She glanced to Lati. “W-What are you doing?” Her bunny ears twitched, a blush coming to her cheeks.

Lati stood beside Bliss in a state of partial undress. More specifically, the snake woman had already remove her black high-heels and currently had her fancy, green dress partially pulled off. “I thought I would go for a swim.” She finished tugging her dress off and laid it down before turning to Bliss. “Want to join me?”

Bliss’s blush deepened, both her bunny ears and tail twitching. Her golden eyes drifted down to the large, ivory mounds capped with pink nipples on the snake woman’s chest. She removed one of her black high-heels. Well, I guess I could go for a swim. She watched as Lati brought her hands to her waist and began pulling down her black panties. She really is beautiful. Bliss removed her remaining high-heel and glanced to the red lake. The lake really is so inviting. I would love to swim in it. She pulled off her red halter-top, revealing her own large (though not quite as large as Lati’s), ivory melons, which (like Lati’s) were also capped with pink nipples. Wait. What am I doing? Why is the lake so inviting? She paled and quickly pulled her top back on. “Do not swim! Get your clothes back on!”

“What? Why?” Lati turned around and looked at Bliss. The snake woman had already taken a few steps towards the red lake. She frowned and crossed her arms.

“I think we are being charmed to go into that lake. That is why.” Bliss put her high-heels back on and then turned her golden eyes to the red lake.

“I …” Lati paled, her eyes widening. “I think you might be right.” She darted back to her clothes. Quickly, she slipped her panties, then dress, and then high-heels back on.

The two demonic women headed towards the red lake, both their high-heels tapping upon the red-speckled stone floor. They came to a stop at the lake’s bank. The lake’s surface stood perfectly still, looking like an opaque, red glass.

Bliss leaned over to get a closer look. Her reflection gazed back at her. I cannot see through the water. It is too opaque. Her gaze softened, her lips forming a smile. It looks … so inviting. I would so love to swim in it. She removed her right high-heel. What the hell?! It is happening again! She promptly put her right high-heel back on, her bunny ears twitching in annoyance. This has to be some sort of charm effect. She glanced to Lati and sweatdropped. “Put your high-heels back on.”

Lati blinked, her tongue flitting out. “Oh. Right.” She slipped her black high-heels back on.

Whatever is down there wants us in the lake. Bliss brought her right hand to her chin as she stared at the red lake. Maybe if I use that rock, but … She sighed, her bunny ears drooping. I kind of wanted to keep that rock. She perked back up, her black succubi wings fluttering a bit. Well, I guess I should say hi. She retrieved the rock from her inventory.

With a heave, Bliss tossed the rock into the lake. The lake’s surface ruptured upon the impact, red water exploding upwards. A moment later, a muffled thud followed. As if a switch had been flipped, the lake’s surface began to roil. Something, something big, began to rise up from the lake’s depths.
