Chapter 21: Guardian

The water roiled as a large bulb of rubbery, light-blue flesh rose up from the depths of the lake. The bulb possessed a large mouth with pointy, yellow teeth and a single eye of red. From its base, a multitude of tentacles matching the bulb in color extended downwards into the red water. In the roiling water, many tentacles twisted about.

“I believe this belongs to one of you.” A light-blue tentacle slammed the rock previously chucked by Bliss down onto the lake bed. Both Bliss and Lati jolted as the stone bed cracked under the blow.

This is what was under there! Seriously?! Bliss gulped, her golden eyes on the monster’s bulbous head. Her white bunny ears twitched as her gaze drifted down to its many tentacles. A tentacle monster?! Why does it have to be a tentacle monster?! Her ivory skin crawled as she watched the many tentacles squirm. She looked to Lati, then to herself, and then shivered, her bunny ears twitching again. So two hot chicks against a tentacle monster … Her bunny ears and wings both drooped. I am not sure I like this.

She returned her golden eyes to the tentacle monster’s single-eyed head. “Are you the guardian by any chance?”

The monster lowered itself towards Bliss, its red eye upon her. “Yes. I am the guardian of this dungeon.” Its eye shifted to Lati, who took a step back in response. “You two are intruders. Leave now.” It pulled back, its tentacles squirming menacingly. “Either that … or we can do this the hard way.” A pair of its tentacles rose up and pointed at the two demonic women.

Lati glanced at the passage beyond the red lake. “We are not leaving.” Her crimson eyes turned to the tentacled horror. “We are not leaving till we get our cut!”

“Fine then.” The tentacle monster’s voice had an annoyed edge to it. Its two readied tentacles rushed forward.

Damn it! Why does it have to be a literal tentacle monster?! Bliss summoned her shadow claws. She sidestepped the oncoming tentacle and proceeded to slash it apart with a quick Shadow Claw, red splattering. Well, that was easy enough, but … She watched as many more tentacles began climbing out onto the lake bed. How many tentacles does this monster actually have?

Beside Bliss, Lati took part in the fight, dancing around tentacle strikes. She leaned back, avoiding a tentacle that passed over her, said tentacle grazing her large bust. She kicked her right leg up into the offending tentacle and flipped around, landing in a crouch.

Looks like Lati’s blows are not as effective as those of my shadow claws. Bliss glanced at the shadowy claws on her right hand. Well, it makes sense. These things count as weapons. Looks like Lati is using unarmed strikes. She sidestepped another tentacle and then slashed it apart, much like she had done with the last. Maybe we can win this thing. She glanced to the red lake and sweatdropped at the sight of yet more tentacles squirming their way to shore. Why does that thing have to have so many damn tentacles?!

She stepped back as yet another tentacle came at her. She slashed it apart with her right hand. Her golden eyes went to the tentacle monster’s head. I do not feel like I am really getting anywhere by just slashing apart tentacles. There are just too damn many of them. She stretched her wings. Maybe I can fly to that thing’s head or something. What the hell?! She glanced down, feeling something on her left ankle. Her golden eyes widened. Oh hell. A tentacle had snagged her left ankle from behind.

A quick eep escaped her lips as she found herself being pulled off balance. Her ass painfully met the red-speckled stone of the lake bed. She was being dragged not to the lake but away from it, more tentacles closing in on her. She grimaced and twisted around, slashing apart the tentacle that had her by the ankle. That was close. Another tentacle grabbed her right wrist. Oh hell. Yet another grabbed her left before she could cut her right free. More came after that. Soon her large bosom bulged out from between her squirming bindings. This … This feels so disgusting. She looked to Lati, tears starting to bead up in her golden eyes.

“I-I’m coming!” Lati dodged a few more tentacles as she made her way to Bliss. The tentacle monster’s red eye turned to her. She ducked another of its tentacles and reached the bound bunny succubus. “D-Do not worry. I am not going to let it do that tentacle-monster thing to you.” She had a panicked look to her eyes as she started struggling with Bliss’s bindings. She was not fast enough though. “Kya~~!” A group of tentacles grabbed her from behind, and she was bound as well.

“You two put up a good fight, but I guess that is that.” The tentacle monster hoisted his two bound captives up and shifted his single eye from one to the other. “Now the question is should I just kill you two or have some fun first.” The tentacles began squirming a bit more. “Ouch!” The monster drew back, dropping both women. It shook the tentacle it had been binding Lati’s mouth with. Its red eye went to Lati. “Did you bite me?! You rude bitch!”

Bliss looked from Lati to the tentacle monster and giggled. Lati giggled too, the snake woman’s crimson eyes watching the monster expectantly.

“What are you two giggling about?” The tentacle monster narrowed its red eye. “This is no …” It began swaying too and fro. Even its tentacles began swaying back and forth. “This is no … laughing matter.” It held up a tentacle in front of its face and then looked to Lati. “You bitch! You poisoned me!” The monster continued swaying.

Lati smiled, positively beaming. “Serves you right.” Her tongue flitted out, and she thrust her chest out confidently. “Now go on and die already.”

“Die?” The tentacle monster brought up another seemingly drunken tentacle to look at. It then turned its gaze to the two demonic women. “As annoying as this is, I doubt it is enough to kill me. It is a problem though.” The monster smiled. “Let’s see how you two fare against this.”
