Amon

Heading outside of the school, Alex saw that quite a lot of the students had already headed off to their homes.

Looking off to the end of the parking lot, Alex saw the Cullens and Bella gathered together.

Heading towards them with a moderate pace, Alex quickly arrived to stand in front of them.

"Hey, sorry for the wait, i had to get this form from the school administration," Alex said as he held up the early graduation papers.

"So you're really going ahead with it?" Bella asked once more, her voice sounded strained.

"Yeah, I'll still be around Bella, just that I won't be going to school. If you want I can even drive you to the school and back every day." Alex said as he gave his sister a reassuring smile.

His words seemed to lighten Bella's mood as she nodded slowly, her expression slowly turning into a small smile.

"All right," Bella said, though it was still clear from her tone of voice that she still was emotional about the whole encounter.

Turning around, Alex looked at Alice and walked toward her with slow steps.

Putting his arm around her, Alex turned around toward the rest of the group and asked.

"Shall we get going then? You comming with to the Cullens house Bells?" Alex asked the group before turning toward Bella.

With a nod of her head, Alex received his answer, and together with Alice he headed to his car meanwhile Bella and Edward headed to her old truck.

Jasper and Edythe got into the silver Volvo and Emmet with Rosalie hopped into the jeep.

With a rumbling sound, all the car's engines turned on and they drove off from the parking lot.

Heading to the Cullen mansion.

The drive there was calm, the scenery slowly changing from urban-like to a full-on forest.

The drive didn't take more than fifteen minutes before they all arrived at the mansion.

Bella took a minute or two longer with the old truck however it wasn't much of a difference as the others had yet to even go inside the house when she and Edward arrived.

All together, they entered the house, being greeted by the soft aroma of meat being cooked.

'Seems like Esme's already cooking dinner for Bella and me' Alex thought as a small soft smile graced his features.

"You know that when you smile like that, you really don't look very uhm manly," Emmet said, though he grew less and less confident in his words as he arrived at the end of his sentence.

Alex turned to face the man with a light glare.

"Please don't ever mention that again, and I meant that Emmet" Alex said his voice clearly carrying how serious he was about the matter.

"All right, all right," Emmet said as he raised his hands up.

As they headed into the living room, Alex saw Carlisle and Esme already waiting for them.

Giving the two a wave, Alex greeted them.

"Hey, it's been a while."

"It has been quite a while, how have you been Alex" Carlisle said as he greeted Alex by giving him a handshake.

"I've been good, what about you?" Alex said shaking the man's hand.

"I've also been great, thank you for asking Alex," Carlise answered before Alex turned to face his wife.

Esme Cullen.

"Hello Esme," Alex said as he tried to give her a similar handshake as he had to Carlisle however the woman simply smiled and embraced him in a hug which Alex returned awkwardly after a moment.

Parting from each other, Esme smiled at him once more.

"It sure has been a while, I'm glad that you're doing fine. I prepared some deer meat tonight, i hope you and Bella will find it to your liking" Esme said with that soft motherly tone of hers.

Alex and Bella who was now next to him nodded and gave the woman their own smiles.

"Of course, I'm sure it will be delicious," Alex said before the two vampires gave way and allowed them to pass into the living room.

Everyone took their spots around the couches and delved into conversations with each other.

The rest of the night was spent with them exchanging stories about how they had spent the past three months or even past them with Carlisle taking the lead into sharing some of the stories he had from hundreds of years ago.

Overall Alex had to say that it was quite a pleasant night.

As the clock ticked closer and closer to midnight, Alex and Bella got up from their spots and gave their goodbyes to the family of vampires.

It was time to head home otherwise Charlie would get quite worried.

"It was pleasant as always to have you two over, Alex, and Bella," Carlisle said Esme shared his sentiment as she nodded alongside him.

"The pleasure was all ours" Alex answered and Bella nodded as well.

With the goodbyes done and over with, the two headed off into their old orange truck and started heading home.

"That was nice," Bella said with a smile on her face as Alex drove through the road in the middle of the dark forest.

Alex nodded with a smile however that same smile quickly disappeared from his face, being replaced by a frown as he looked at the darkness ahead of them.

Bella quickly noticed the change in mood as she turned to look at Alex.

"What's wrong?" Her voice quivered, fear already engulfing her being.

"I hope nothing," Alex said before slowing the car down completely.

Turning toward Bella, Alex looked at her seriously.

"No matter what happens, what you hear or see, never open the car door. Do you understand?" Alex asked Bella, his tone serious, much more than any other time she had heard her brother.

In fact, it was the first time that she had seen Alex react this way, she remembered him being carefree and confident in everything he did, it was her first time seeing him turn so serious.

*Gulp*

"All right" Bella answered slowly, causing Alex to nod before opening the door and heading outside.

Looking around, Alex saw the dark forest however that wasn't what had caused his change in mood.

It was the fact that he couldn't see past ten meters in front of him.

There was something clearly wrong around them, usually, he would have been able to see even in pitch black however this darkness seemed to actually be impenetrable even by his sight.

The dark forest surrounding them gave away no sounds, in fact, the only sound was the wind that passed through the tree leaves and the beating of Bella's heart inside the truck.

Nothing else could be heard, it was truly unusual.

Alex looked around cautiously before his head snapped northwest, his fist clenching into a fist as his face turned into a snarl.

"Who are you?" His tone was deep, as he asked the person that had appeared at the edge of the asphalt road.

For a few moments, silence was the only thing that reigned in the darkness of the night.

"Me?" The person said as he walked closer to Alex.

Alex with furrowed brows and an angered expression on his face almost snarled ferally at the man.

Finally, after he came close enough, Alex could finally see the man's appearance.

With pitch pitch-black curly hair that dropped down to the bottom of his neck and cloth covering his body similar to that of a priest covering his body, however, instead of being white, it was completely pitch black.

With a crystalline monocle hanging over his right eye, the man with pitch-black eyes smiled at Alex.

"I have quite a lot of names, which one would you like to hear?" The man said, his tone clearly showing his mischievous nature, or maybe that was simply what he wanted Alex to observe him as.

"How about what most people know you as?" Alex asked, his entire body exuding an aura of danger, of death itself however he didn't move an inch from his spot.

'If I was alone then this would have been much easier to solve however Bella is right behind me and this guy... there's something wrong with him, insanely wrong' Alex thought to himself as he stared at the man.

"Most people knew me as Amon or Aamon," The man said with that constant smile on his face, as he took another step closer to Alex.

'Amon? Who the hell is that?' Alex thought as his mind scrambled to piece together every information he had ever gained about the world however he came up blank.

There was no one with the name of Amon in his memories.

As Amon took another step closer to Alex, Alex's expression turned even more sour as he started taking a combat stance.

Amon meanwhile stopped moving as he held up his hands giving Alex a closed eye smile.

" I mean no harm, I simply wanted to introduce myself. "

"What are you?"

"What am I?" Amon asked almost as if he was trying to figure out the question himself.

*Humm*

"I guess you could say that I'm a me, amon is simply amon" Amon answered as he started rubbing the edges of the monocle with two pinched fingers.

'Bastard' Alex thought as he started focusing his entire strength, ready to engage in combat at any second.

"Well it seems that I am not welcome here however and so I shall take my leave," Amon said as he started backtracking his steps, as he came to the edge of the road, Amon gave Alex a smirk before raising his voice.

"Bella Swan, when confusion hits you and despair overwhelms yourself, call me out and Amon shall help."

With those words, before Alex could say anything else, the being disappeared from view and the forest around them turned normal once more.

The darkness dispersed and Alex could finally see far into the forest, the sounds also returned and Alex could hear the forest wildlife in the distance.

'What the fuck' Alex thought before he quickly turned around and opened the truck's door.

Inside Bella stood silent with her eyes closed.

"It's over Bella," Alex said causing Bella to quickly open her eyes.

"Who was that guy?" Bella asked, her voice trembling as she looked at Alex.

"I don't know however do not ever listen and do what he said, even if you are about to die, do not call out 'his name'" Alex said as he took Bella's hands into his own, trying to convey the severity of the action.

"All right," Bella said a moment later whilst nodding her head.

Turning back around toward the forest, Alex finally showed a face of recognition.

'Aamon, the demon prince, the devil of deceit' Alex finally found the link to the man's supposed name.

It was a name that had only appeared once in the book he had gained from the library back in Port Angels.

'Why could I not remember who he was? I should have instantly been able to find the link to his name and identity' Alex thought puzzled before closing the door of the truck and starting to drive forward once more.

Bella meanwhile stood silent as she looked out of the window.

As she did, she saw something inside the forest for a split second.

It was a man with a monocle giving her a toothy smile.

However before she could truly see him, he disappeared almost as if he was a mirage or a dream.

'What was that' Bella thought as fear gripped her even harder than before.
