115 – This Time, the Art Club Actually Holds a Proper Camp 2

Early in the morning, both Gin and Mato are looking at their faces in vertical screens.

"Heyo. I take it that you're already awake before this?"

"Yeah, another day of work. Well good for you to have a vacation."

"Nah… not really much of that. I just feel like talking with you before we start the day. You see, I kinda have a problem."

"Hmm. I guess let me hear it?"

In a typical and casual video call with Gin in it, not even after a minute, he would put down his phone to a proper angle and his screen would feel out of place as he is the only one without the shakiness scene on his side. After all, like Nagi, he is very conscious with the quality of any kind of production however small it is.

And so, he sat down, ready to listen as he loudly sips on his daily coffee.

"…

I've been stuck with how I approach you guys, and it somehow turned into habit. I feel like I could do better for my students, that is, if I actually do know how."

"You're creative enough to figure it out, really. There really isn't one right answer in the issue."

"I agree. But still, I don't really know how to do that."

"…

You already know that normal ways wouldn't really work on us when we're in high school. Well, I am abnormal, honestly, even being a 'glassmaker' and all. Just try to approach them with normal ways. I think that you're thinking about things that aren't very normal."

"I-I think you got that right."

"We've been acting with a bit of professionalism in TAC even when we aren't yet…"

"You are a professional cook, though."

"…That's not the point. But I guess they're ordinary students in a sense, so too much technicality might not work on them.

If you're trying to be sorta close to your students at least, you might have to take things easier… because we gave you a hard time, didn't we?"

"That, no doubt, you got that right."

"Ahahaha! Well then. I guess I have to get ready for work. Talk to you later."

"Yeah."

Gin's knees attempted to unfold themselves from his couch as he reached to his phone, as seen in Mato's screen, but suddenly, his backside shot back down to the sofa while the confusion on his face became apparent.

After a few seconds of silence, he lightly touched his neck and vigorously brushed it away. Another few second in the vertical screen, two paws were seen throwing a blanket on Gin.

"Uhh… something up? Ah, the ceiling, of course."

"You got some more time? I'm still willing to talk."

"What happened to you preparing for work?"

"It's been a while since I had a fever."

"H-Huh. But well…" Mato quieted himself for a moment.

"W-Wow… that was loud."

"As you can hear, all of them are still asleep, and Nana is snoring even with the door closed.

So yeah, I still have some time."

"Cool. I'll call boss in the BG."

▪ ▪ ▪

Unexpectedly, many things have been seen that are normally not. While Mato's call was still continuing, Reina suddenly stepped out of the girls' room, scratching her messy hair and wearing an immensely frustrated expression. But he surmised that it was some noisy one's fault.

Coincidentally, Gin saw the scene from Mato's camera, while Reina paid no attention whatsoever and went to the bathroom.

"…

I definitely feel like I've seen that situation," his voice being transmitted through Mato's earphones, which is now hoarse.

"I don't get you."

"You don't need to."

"How'd you get a fever so suddenly anyway?"

"That's just how my system works. It's been years since I last had an ordinary cold, and I actually don't get any viruses believe it or not.

The only thing is that I have hypertension, so I take it easy when summer."

"Talk about running in the blood…"

"Anyway, since I suddenly don't have anything to do for the day, I should've asked this from the start. How are your students right now, exactly?"

"Hmm, kinda alright. Though, 'kinda', just normal, I mean. That's also part of my problem but you already know the gist of it. Are you close to them, by chance?"

"Not really. I got to know Aomine from G, I guess we know Ms. Sora well, and then Rin suddenly became friends with Reina so I also acquainted with her.

Thinking back, I've known Ai-san even before the things with Jean. I was in their interview as part timers."

"Huh. The small country (world) we live in just got smaller. Heck, just make the North and South one."

"I like the idea but things don't sound right in my imagination. At least, only the sound."

"Wha- You've started making breakfast, Reina? You could have asked me for help."

"It's fine, Sir Martin. It seems like you're busy."

"Uhh, I'm only talking to Gin, though. You know him, right?"

"Umm, he's technically my boss, Sir Martin…"

"Ahh… I forgot about that.

He may be my student but he's a good friend even before," and then he pulled off the earphone port from the jack.

"Hello~ Reina…"

"…! Eep…!"

"Oi, don't scare her. It's still early in the morning."

"Sorry, Reina. My throat gets busted from time to time."

"O-Oh. I hope you get well soon, Yuka Gin."

"Thanks."

"Guess I'll drop the call and help out, Gin. You take a rest."

"Alright… Haku, got something to say?"

"Meow. (Meow.)"

*beep*

"Hmmmgghh… I guess that was quite a long call. Sorry about that," and Mato then took another knife.

"It's fine, really, sir."

"It's hard to feed seven more people with just one cook.

So you don't really use an apron, huh?"

"Only in classes, but I don't at home. I just grew to be like this since my family really does not."

"I see.

By the way, did Nana wake you up?"

It was at that point where Mato realized that he slipped.

"Hahh… I never thought anyone can snore like that… But I think it's a cute gap. She's pretty, after all! Don't you think too, sir?"

"…I-I guess?"

"Don't be shy, Mato-sen! You already slipped that you know it was Ms. Nanase."

"Hey, you have sharp wits, but you suddenly called me that."

"I weirdly thought that it sounds more preferable. May I call you that?"

"I suppose you can. I just hope you enjoy the next three months. Take it like that."

"Thank you."

"Anyway, since you're in CA, what are you going to do after graduating?"

"My first choice is currently a public college, and then CCI is second. From what I've heard, it seems that the latter is quite a difficult one to get admitted to."

"Well, Ringo was ranting how nervous she was on her interview. Anyway, she's a CCI student, so you really can ask her for help… Or that Giotto's is your best bridge for that.

If you are under Gin and the high-octane environment of Giotto's, I think you will be fine in CCI. I trust that sous chef to make you a great cook."

"I will note that.

So you're really in a relationship with Ms. Nanase?"

"Okay, stop right there. I've had enough of the noisy bunch while Aomine and Obi were being teased last night."

"Then last question, Mato-sen.

Do you think Sora has a chance?"

"Only they can tell. But I think Aomine's not as against of the thought. But you guys shouldn't really swallow romance immediately. Try to be more disciplined and know that being young has its limitations too, maybe surprisingly.

Oh, that sounded teacher-like."

"Pff… You're a little weird, Mato-sen."

"It hurts me to hear that, but I guess my students this year are normal."

▪ ▪ ▪

9am.

The first place for the second day of trip was a bit far, but they decided to travel on foot. In the usual, or just-discovered fashion of Reina, she went ahead on her jog while following a navigation six kilometers from the lodging house. And as all of them finally arrived, they immediately saw Reina under a resting place, sipping tea, somewhat like an elderly.

And so the activity of the day began.

After being distracted by the cozy sight of Reina, the astonishment then rose up inside them, seeing that they are on the border of the plateau with a vast view of the unelevated lands. But as they have expected, not even that is enough to even shift Obi's countenance. Truly, their altitude is still so far to reach the clouds but the clarity of the sky was to their advantage as they have the full detail of the distant scenery.

With that, the first order of business was to replicate the view from their own perspective. This however is the Art Club no matter what year it is, and the limitless perception of the tangible and intangible is apparent.

Thus, they finished mostly with their quirky interpretations. Then Mato asked in the middle of the now free time, "Is the wind bearable for all of you?"

…which was then affirmed.

The student had just watched as Mato suddenly situated six chairs in two rows, facing each other.

"Next are portraits. Aomine and Sora, Hoshino and Reina, and then Ai-san and Obi," he arbitrarily decided. "Don't be so hung up on the portrait thought, though. Do how you wish it to be, you don't need to make each other a pose but as long as it is the person, it's a pass. I'll give you five minutes to observe, but, errr… I'm sorry I just realized, but please try not to get embarrassed."

"I really thought you set me up," Aomine complained.

"I did, but not for that reason, alright?"

"Uhh, sure. Are you fine with that though, Sora?"

"It's not a problem," she smiled with pinkish cheeks.

Turn this way. Can you look down? This isn't a computer so I can't zoom in.

That was the situation for the five minutes. But just as Sora was about to get started on her sketch, she was interrupted.

"Uh, sorry, Sora. Can we exchange seats?"

"…?"

Confusedly, Sora stood up while Aomine sat on the chair facing the view in silence and few blinks with doing nothing whatsoever.

Ensure your favorite authors get the support they deserve. Read this novel on the original website.

"One sec," he gestured a stop from his hand and took two more chairs to stack over his seat, and then removed one after another silence.

"Sorry."

"Really, Aomine?" Obi interjected with another subtle smile.

"Sh-Shut up."

"I haven't said anything, though."

Whatever was his intentions were, it appears that only Obi realized it. Nevertheless, they continued on the portraits.

"So you're also drawing, Sir Martin?" the other teacher approached him under the shade of the resting area and leaned to look, only to see that her face was being sketched and shaded in semi-realism.

"…!" in a moment's passing, Nanase took the paper abruptly but neatly from Mato's hands and turned around.

"I-I'm framing this!"

"But it's not even finished yet! At least let me do that first."

"…

H-Here. Sorry."

"You're welcome in advance."

"Can you two lovebirds take that somewhere?! I'm getting distracted here!!" Ai lashed out, letting the cat finally out of the bag.

The two stopped, but for some reason, all of them got even more distracted.

"O-Oh… so there's something between them…"

The lesson in the middle of this chapter: This story is beyond help. There will be romance in every single corner of this fiction.

A/N: Saying that kinda made me feel guilty…

"Say… How are you with Yuka Jean these days, Ai-san?" asked the expressionless.

See, I told you.

A silent shudder ought to not make a sound hence why silent. But an audible clatter has sounded from Ai's seat.

"I-I guess it's the same…"

"Ahahaha, sorry if that put you in the spot. He's always busy with work, and we haven't gone to a sports center in a while."

"Have I never given you his contact info?"

"Nope, but I think asking for it would be better, huh."

"I guess so. I'll give it to you later."

"Sure, thanks."

And in the midst of the concurrent conversations happening throughout the duration of the activity, Sora and Aomine began to pass messages on a paper back and forth as though in a classroom, secretly passing them while in truth, all of them are basically watching them through their peripheral vision.

It was cute, they thought, and so the two of them were happily ignored.

"Hey," Aomine began.

"???"

"Can I use your help?"

"Do you need me to look on my side?"

"No, not that. I'm doing well on my sketch already."

"…"

"Then?"

"I'm thinking of personally accepting commissions."

"Ó o Ó"

"Well, I'm a BM student but I'm not really that confident in using stuff in real-world situations. So yeah, even an advice is appreciated."

"That's fine. I was also considering it."

"Eh?"

"Then let's discuss this later or after the trip."

"Uh, sure."

His arms were already reaching towards Sora with the paper between his fingers, but he pulled back and began writing anew.

"That aside, can we talk later?"

~ ~ ~

"You guys are done? If so, exchange your works with your partner."

To Sora Kagurazaka, all the pieces clicked in to its right place. He finally realized Aomine's intentions after ogling on her own, painted face… and the lush view in the background.

Aomine's piece proved to be unique, even when it followed the basic theme with the five. A pure white backdrop indeed gives complete emphasis to the subject, but for some reason, he was still able to make the young woman he is painting stand out in the image.

"Woah, Aomine…" Mato suddenly found himself standing behind Sora's seat, "it's watercolor and all, but how were you able to do this partially realistic lighting?"

It truly did not look artificial. The lighting, the shading, and the ambient occlusions followed the laws of realism that blended together with the imperfectness brought by the pigmentation of the paint. Yet, it showed an apparent, but unexpected harmony between the two.

"I… I thought the view was 'quite a sight,' so I had Sora exchange seats with me. Thankfully it turned out really well in my opinion."

"Humble bragging. If only you would show this much performance in classes…" Mato paused. "All's well that ends well. I would have given you full marks again if this was a class. Sadly, this is only a camp so we can only go so far."

"…!

So that was your reason…!!"

~ ~ ~

In virtue and respect of a fair rock paper scissors battle, the losers, Obi and Reina was in charge for dinner, and fifteen minutes later of preparation, Obi's finger has been patched with a band-aid. However, that is not to say that he does not have any experience in the kitchen whatsoever. At most, he does not handle the cooking itself, but the preparations instead. In truth, he handles the knife properly, and enjoys chopping things… as much as it may be badly articulated by himself.

"Does it still hurt?"

"Not really. I already have a few scars so this is nothing new. Anyway… you're really talented in cooking now that I think about it. How did you come to like it?"

"Hmm, as a hobby? My mom always tells me that having the ability to cook is a skill if I want to survive when I grow. My brother also taught me."

"That's a nice line."

"You look like you're good with the knife, though?"

"It was to cope up with being rejected. I've moved on anyways."

"Y-You… I wonder how you looked like when you were confessing to that someone…!" she suspiciously stared with the joke.

"I feel like I've heard my name again…!!!" Ai exclaimed from the living room.

"As you can see. But I already knew her situation by that time so it wasn't hard."

"Seriously?! No, I'm more surprised that you're actually talking a lot today!"

"I'm actually like this."

"Calm at all times… and your voice is actually nice… You sort of look cool right now.

Wait, but I can see that you act really friendly with Ai-san…"

"I'm also friends with… oh, I guess Yuka Jean is also your WT supervisor?"

"Uh, oh, yes."

"We play some sports when he's free from work. Oh, with that, are you doing track and field? I reckon you run a lot?"

"I don't really do sports, but it's self-discipline. I don't count calories but I make sure to stay in shape."

"Alright, random question so suddenly, Reina."

"Yes that is very sudden."

"Have you drawn the stars, or in general, look at them?"

"I suppose I get distracted when I looked at the sky by chance. You rarely get to see a lot of stars in this country. A lot of times the sky is always empty."

"Right? I was so thrilled to know that the stars are always in full view here so sitting around here wasn't an option."

"Ehhhh, so that was why you left in such a rush last night~?"

"I am a kid inside. But at least I brought back some meat."

"It was a great pulled pork by the way."

"…

Uhh…"

At that point upon opening the door of the fridge, Obi wondered how he missed the cans of beer.

"Are we going to be safe to travel tomorrow…?"

After dinner.

The cans have been brought out, standing cold and firmly to the table as the two adults await at nothing to hear the fizz at once. There might be nothing or something, but someone is somehow making them hesitate to open the aluminum cylinders.

On the far side of the table, there sat Ai and Hoshino with serious faces amidst their fingers clasped under their chins. They looked with their invisible eyes drastically hidden by very dark shadows, as per the author's not very realistic portrayal.

"Go ahead. Don't mind us," still with their intense looks.

"W-Why are you two looking like that anyway…?"

"This is the only thing that we can do," suddenly, Ai's voice shifted to baritone.

For a second, Mato became absolutely worried, but he remembers that nothing comes out serious with faces that are covered with unrealistically dark shading. Thus, he opened his first can and leaned on the chair.

Figuring out what could potentially be the cause of this, he asked:

"What, are you two shipping Reina and Obi?"

"No, not that… I at least know that Obi isn't really one to be in that place again so quickly because I outright rejected him knowing that I have Jin."

"Ai-san, that's one nasty thing to say. And Jean isn't yours."

Coming to terms, a shudder from Nanase's back escaped and whispered, "This story doesn't have anything related with diving, right…?!"

He once again looked on the exaggerated faces, and then to the can he is holding. Only one thing came to his mind, and he became thankful that Kurimo is not seaside hence not having a diving shop.

"I think we're clear…

So, what is it, then?"

"It's about Aomine and Sora…"

"Oh, I didn't think you'd actually say it. I thought you were going to beat around the bush for another thirty minutes."

"Thirty minutes… they would have been done talking by that time."

"So that's what you're concerned with?"

Finally, he has taken his first gulp.

"Anyway, I figured I'd say this while I am still sober…"

"Umm, shouldn't it be the opposite? People like to say a bunch of things down the line because they won't remember the next day anyway, right, Mato-sen?"

"Yamerooooo. But I'd like it if all of you are her, but it can't be helped, I guess.

Anyway, again, sorry for comparing you all from my previous students. I expected high chemistry and affinity from you, but I was asking for too much. Weirdly, I got used to not so normal people, so I took normalcy for granted. Two of you maybe a pair of extremely skillful people, but it's not the same with a memory impaired or totally color blind person.

I do regret not being able to properly supervise you for the past nine months. I wanted this camp to develop your own kind of affinity, and I think it is slowly shaping up naturally. I'm glad that I decided to hold this trip, really."

"I think this is what Uncle Sans would also do."

"…?"

"He made me come in one of their team-building and found the same situation. Even I think that we are lacking something as a group, but at least we're not awkward with each other. Obi even changed a bit. He may sound cool sometimes, but he really doesn’t speak about himself.

Maybe, all it took was for us to be in a different environment to find things out, but it's probably hard for them to realize that consciously. I however have. We're all trying our best in our ways and now I feel like we can do more after this."

"Huh… you don't look the part, but you're actually the most observant one this year, I see."

"That's rude, Mato-sen!"

The second gulp.

"I guess I'll say my feelings anyway!

You know, I was a bit sad. This is the first time that I'll only be new supervising students for only a year… and it's making me depressed that the club might die in the next year…!"

"Unless we repeat a year?"

"Don't say that, Hoshino.

The club may not raise my salary, but I for one am going to miss that if it disappears. I hate that, but really, the students are the one who have the power to keep this place alive. I'm only a supervisor that attempts to help my students improve.

And if there's no one in this club… if the plants were to die… Gin will bury me on the plant box…!!"

"I don't know about that last one… But it's not bad to try and recruit some people in the last minute! I heard that our senpai didn't really make anything to promote the club, but this might be our time to get a one-up on them. And in the first place, it should be their fault that the reception of the club to the students is lukewarm!"

"You say that, but there's also the rooftop rumors, Hoshino-kun."

"O-Oh… th-that…"

"But if that's your decision and the club comes to an agreement, I'll gladly support you. If anything, I might hire my students to make a promotional film. I really can't trust this on the entertainment club since they are busy every single time. But it's a worthy investment so I'm sure it'll work out."

"Then we'll have a meeting first thing next year!"

"Hit me up on that then."

"Umm, Mato-sensei? When did you empty your second can?"

"Eh? Oh…

Burp."

~ ~ ~

"I'm a bit of a handful, am I not…?"

"N-No… You've said that before and I understand that it concerns your past and your family. I really can't blame you.

B-But I'm a bit surprised…"

And as you have expected, more romance.

To summarize what has been missed, Aomine waited for Sora on a bench outside of the lodging house with another coat on his arm that he then then lent to the girl.

He once again announced that he is not yet ready for such things as he is still sorting out the wrongs that he did to his family.

"My perceptions of you have changed, however. I used to hate you, but I think that's the same for you in the past."

Sora sheepishly nodded.

"But I can't say that anymore. While my view of you has changed, it seems that you did too. I told you that you should change for your own sake… But can we be clear? Are you doing this for me?"

One again, another nod, but with more vigor.

"I don't think that this is really the greatest time to say this again, but I truly like you, Aomine," and she painfully added, "I just wanted to say it again, as I think it might be the last time. I really understand your circumstances… and I would back off, as that is what you want me to do."

"Mhm…

Wait, no? Are you misunderstanding something here?"

"W-What…?"

"I never said anything about asking you to back off? What were you thinking?"

"Uhhhhh…?"

"Look, I was just prefacing all of that so I can say what I really want to say. I've felt like I haven't really given you a proper answer all this time. I kept rejecting you and running away with us being friends, but even with that, I think that we still got closer.

I'm sorry that I'm an idiot. Wait, I really shouldn't be sorry for being an idiot. That's what I wanted to become in the first place!"

"Pfft…"

"But jokes aside, I'm sorry for that. I always keep taking you for granted. I disregarded your feelings and what looked like your attempt to get closer to me while keeping mind our emotional states. And really, I should be glad that someone as beautiful as you actually liked someone like me…

I think that no one caught on with the 'quite a sight' earlier so… and it's embarrassing to be direct in front of people. So y-yeah…! That was what I was trying to say earlier…"

Hard as it is to look Sora in the eye, but even in the dark of the night, she somehow became disappointed, and pouted on her bright red face.

"Just stop making it long and just say what you have to… I'm the one that's nervous here…"

"Aaaaahhhhh…

I-I-I-I'm sorry if this is a very rude thing to say… but since I'm not really considering things like being in a relationship, I don't think we have the same feelings or… something like that. But I'm really not against it anymore."

"R-Really…?"

"I still think that I'm not yet there, though… so maybe we can find a middle ground? Like… what's going on with Ai-san…? N-No, not really like wooing and stuff, but… I guess…

Ascertaining what we really are and our feelings…?"

Suddenly, Sora's movements stopped like a statue standing in Goci's "Array" after hearing the somewhat indecisive, or awkward words that she then processed in her mind as though they are new words in her vocabulary."

"Pff… Hahahahahaha…! T-That's the first time I'm hearing something like that…!!"

"H-Hey… Can you not…? I'm getting really embarrassed here."

"S-S-Sorry… Hahh… I haven't laughed like that in a while… Hahh… What an idiot…"

"Wh-Wh… Y-You finally called me an idiot… That's amazing… I don't know what to say…

It felt like I finally win, like, genuinely! I couldn't be happier that you called me an idiot…!"

"U-Uhmm… You're welcome…?

I should say that I am the one that won here. Am I right, Aomine?"

"O-Oh… I-I suppose… in your way…

But anyway… are we on mutual thinking here?"

"Yes. I am fine with that, but I won't settle with that only."

"You're being quite assertive… Anyway, is that going to be fine with your father…?"

"It is you, after all. You'll probably say 'no promises' but I'm fine with that. I'm a little disappointed, but I'm happy more than that. I'm happy that I now have the chance to be together with you."

"Urk… It feels like you're so powerful when you're honest…"

"Is it cute?"

"I wouldn't necessarily think that…

Anyway, it's cold so we really should-"

"Cheese."

Click

"Wha- I wasn't ready at all."

"We haven't done a handshake."

"Oh, I guess."

Thus, a handshake sealed the end of their complicated relationship that is replaced with… another complicated relationship?

"…

I swear Reina always shouts at the Art Room how warm your hands are, but it's cold."

"I'm still nervous."

"O-Oh. I guess me too. But my hands are cold anyway."

"Then I'll warm it up sometime."

"Ugh… You're too assertive!"

▪ ▪ ▪

And so, the uneventful day has passed, and was replaced with another one, being the final day of their trip.

A group of curious four then gathered round towards Aomine and Sora once they have both woken up, without even being spared a breathing time in the first meal of the day.

"You know, I'm actually on my right mind to ask and I woke up quite well today."

"I didn't even drink much but my head hurts a bit…" Nanase interjected.

"So anyway… Is it fine for you two if you fill us in?"

As anyone would think or expect, they would think that the two who had made a rendezvous last night will be on their toes and acting all abashed with each other in front of the inquisitive ones, yet the truth was far from it.

They just looked at each other momentarily and nonchalantly, perhaps also subtly confused, but as if they didn't even hear, they continued with their silverware.

Anything apart from the clinking to the platter was silence. In utter confusion, the two teachers and the others can't help but stare with their hunger being sated, but not their curiosity. But as Sora has properly placed down her utensils and wiped her lips, it felt as if the ice is finally going to be broken.

"…

If I were to say it, then it would be that we settled with a compromise."

"Please don't say it like that, Sora…"

"Then what word can you use as a replacement?"

Aomine thought about it hard and seriously, but even with his vocabulary, when faced with something foreign to him, the intelligence that he has forsaken did not even have the ability to materialize a word. At the end of his wits, he could only scratch his head.

"Let's just say that it's very complicated… You would just be confused if I try to explain it.

Anyway, I feel so stupid right now. Did you somehow manage to take a lot of my IQ when I was asleep, Hoshino?"

"Absolutely right! Thank you very much for that!"

"I should be the one thanking you. And please don't return it to me anymore. I don't really need it."

~ ~ ~

Now that they have an answer, even if not the one that they expected, they went to their own businesses without another significant thing happening for an hour.

And as Sora is seeing their supervisor slowly turning into a slob on the sofa with a manga volume on his hand, she collectedly asked.

"What is the agenda today, Sir Martin?"

"Hmmmmm.

Do what you guys want~ You can tour the place for a bit or play with the snow outside. We still have until after lunch so seize the remaining time.

Oh, wait, Hoshino. Did you bring your Sw*tch with you? Let's connect it on the TV and play some."

"Aye, sir?"

Upon the spectacle, Sora slowly scooted towards Nanase, now that their relationship has pretty much been revealed.

"Ms. Nanase… is Sir Martin always like this?"

"Don't misunderstand, Sora. You don't really see it but he has been busy especially because of WT. It's just that whenever he gets free time he acts like a slob like that. I guess in reality it's sometimes annoying that I even clean his place when I visit since he won't budge."

"I… I really wish Aomine wouldn't be like that?"

"You know… I don't really know what's going on between you now, but you suddenly sound like you're dating with him."

"I-It's not the case at all, Ms. Nanase… We're still so far to reach that."

"Oh, I see. Then here's a blatant story: we're really not that close at work but he suddenly confessed to me in the graduation ceremony two years ago."

"Why so suddenly…"

"Nothing much. Just do your best to know him more."

"Alright, club!" Hoshino suddenly exclaimed. "Let's have a short meeting before we do what we want. I suppose this will be out last meeting for the year."

"Why do the following days feel so all over the place…" complained Ai.

"Then it equates to these two chapters being like that too. Anyway, Aomine really should be the one doing the speech right now since he's the one that kept the club alive, but nevermind that; there's really nothing that says that we're not allowed to recruit any members so let's try doing that… maybe with the help of our alumni senpai.

We're planning on making a PV of some sort and they would probably go all out with the production as we're hiring them (hopefully with a student discount). I say that, but what's best is to just be true to our cores. I think that the most obvious way is to just show what we do in the club without any bells and whistles. Anyway, it would just be used even after we graduate.

If you have any ideas, now's the time to say them."

"Hai, Chief Hoshino!"

"Yes, Ai-san?"

"Let's end the chapter here!"

"Alright…!

Uh, what?"
