Ch 71 Purple Magic Senses Seal

Ch 71 Purple Magic Senses Seal

Eventually a group of Martial Artists who probably weren’t poor, but definitely weren’t rich, came up to me and asked me whether I had any quality weapons that weren’t as expensive as a platinum coin.

They were very respectful and so I decided to help them out.

I had a couple ideas in my head.

I pulled out two wooden boxes, a large wooden crate and a clay pot.

Before taking any of them out, I asked them if they were interested in Poisonous Weapons, by which question most of them had a negative reaction.

I figured most Martial Artists would be against Poisonous Weapons, as they saw low handed tactics similar to assassins, not worthy of the Martial Path.

Because of their reactions I put away the large crate and clay pots and focused on the two squared boxes I had pulled out.

I opened one, and within it there was a large stack of purple papers neatly tied together with a thin rope.

The Martial Artists got a look of confusion in their eyes, but that changed as soon as I opened the second box.

Within it were a number of small knives and daggers I had forged out scrap metal, I had dipped inside the Artificial Blood for fun to see if it worked as a blood bathing medium like the pure Original Magical Beast Blood.

The results were small blades that seemed to be made out of a harder and better metal than what I had actually made them of, and that indeed did deal magical damage, even if it was just barely.

“Young men what kind of Martial Arts do you guys practice if you'd be so kind in telling me?”

The young Martial Artists looked a bit confused at the question but they answered none the less.

“Some of us come from Exalted Blade Martial School, and others from Hidden Martial Blade Academy, both of our groups focus on weapon based Martial Arts.”

“Well that actually means you guys are perfect for the two items I have here, these small blades of different shapes I have here are made out of a special magically imbued metal, so in essence they are in fact magical weapons, although weaker ones in comparison to most that exist. Nevertheless they will do the job once contact is made with a foe, and will inflict terrible magical damage even with a certain attribute depending on which blade you get. The blades here can have the attributes of Wind, Rock, Darkness, Ground, or Plant each individually. They are excellent weapons, but their range and area of effect are quite small, compared to even normal blades, so I don't think it’s adequate for me to sell them for even 1 platinum coin. I don’t want to feel like I'm ripping people off. Nevertheless they are still Magical Weapons, so I think a price of 800 gold coins for the knives and 1000 gold coins for the daggers should be adequate.”

The young Experts looked at each other with a bit of pain but also understanding.

It seemed that amount of gold coins was still not cheap.

But there was nothing I could do, I wasn't about to give away my Magical Items.

“Okay sir, some of us are interested in buying your knives. They are quite expensive still, but they’re definitely worth it since they’re magical. But sir what are those purple papers you have right there. Why did you show them to us? They don’t look like weapons?”

I smiled knowingly, already anticipating that they would be curious about the papers.

“Young Experts, do I have a treat for you guys. Since I've taken a liking to you guys I've decided to dayview a new item in my inventory. These papers here are called “Purple Magic Senses Seal '' and they are a Magical Buffing Item. When ripped in half, they will endow you with an increase in the range and ability of your natural senses, as well as the ability to sense Mana or Magical Energy for a limited amount of time. The only drawback is a temporary feeling of pain one will experience immediately after ripping it up. In essence this is a Battle Auxiliary Item that can be a possible lifesaver in times of need. In that respect they are invaluable, and I could probably sell them at whatever price I want them. But for cool youths like you I'll sell them at 1000 gold coins per paper, this will probably be a 1 time deal.”

The youths in front of Guso looked anxious, all of a sudden an item that was beyond what they expected to be able to acquire at their current power level and social status was actually within their reach.

They weren’t stupid they new what buffing and battle auxiliary items were, many of them had taken the City’s required World Combat Knowledge Class that all certified Martial Schools and Academies had to teach.

Many Experts often carried with them certain items or weapons that provided an instantaneous boost in combat ability and that were many times used as an ace or last resort in order to gain an edge and ultimately be victorious in battle.

Although Performance Enhancing Substances worked fast, they weren’t instantaneous, and often came with horrible and grueling side effects.

Instantaneous Battle Items like these were highly sought after, extremely expensive, and almost nonexistent in the lower social realms of Martial Citadel.

This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.

These were the kinds of items only the rich and powerful Martial Artists and their spoiled genius disciples would have.

And now an opportunity had appeared before them.

Although they weren’t rich their Schools were of decent standing amongst the Martial Organizations that focused on Weapon Arts.

Through betting and wagering of dueling, combat, and tournaments, many of them had managed to accumulate a good amount of gold coins.

Despite the large investment, now was their time to rise in the ranks.

“I'll take both items. Here are 2000 gold coins! I'll take both the dagger and one Magic Purple Paper!”

“Same with me!”

“I'll take a dagger and a knife. I really want the paper but I don't think that's to my benefit right now. Here's 1800 gold coins.”

“ Sir i'll take a knife and 2 of your purple paper’s, 2,800 gold coins is nothing for this breakthrough opportunity.”

“I'll take 5 of your purple papers. Those kinds of effects are too good to pass up on. Here’s the money.”

Eventually everyone from the group got to buy at least one of the items.

The scene of rabid shoppers attracted a lot of attention to my stand and suddenly people started asking questions.

The sly Martial Students kept their mouths shut and darted off immediately towards the directions of their Schools, unfortunately for their plans a nosy good of hearing bystander happened to hear some of the details of the transaction.

“It seems those items are also magical items, but they are at a lower price than his spears.”

“Really they’re magical items, what kind are they? They don't look so impressive.”

“I heard they’re Auxiliary Magical Items, some of the rarest kinds of items.”

“ It can't be, how can this kid get such valuables and why is he selling them in a shitty place like this. Quickly tell young Master he’s been wanting to match young Master Limen’s Magical Weapon it's just that the Master hasn’t given him any more funds and he's just short of being able to afford the spears. Maybe he can afford these items.”

I heard some of the conversations going around and immediately I decided to bump up the price of the items to 1500 gold coins. But people still swarmed around my shop eager to get their hands on the rare goods.

I recognized many people who had been malicious, or had said terrible things about Kemoro, and purposely ignored their offers and questions.

I turned my attention to those whom I didn't recognize and had a more humble attitude.

Once they heard of the effects of the purple paper and of the magically attributed Knives and daggers, people went crazy with greed.

I had to temporarily put away the items out of fear someone might try to snatch them away.

Eventually I sold to the people who seemed most deserving to me, and among them were some wealthy looking guys.

The Martial Experts were especially going crazy over the Purple Magic Senses Seals or “Purple Paper” as they liked to call it.

The ones who could afford, were buying 10 or even 20 at a time, giving me special gold cards like the one Martial Doctor Dulos had given me, of a value of 10,000 to 20,000 gold coins, or even special tickets that matched their value in platinum.

I was hesitant to accept such payments, but after multiple guarantees of their validity from various Experts I decided to accept them as payment.

In the end these papers weren’t such a big deal to me, if they really had tricked me I would just never sell to them again, and ban such forms of payment.

Eventually both the small blades and purple papers completely ran out to the dismay of many people.

People started asking if I had more, or when I had more?

I gave them vague answers and didn’t commit to any offers.

Even though the papers were easy to make, I didn't want them to know that.

I had made over 200 papers thinking they would last me, but they sold like hot cream bread in a matter of minutes.

In total I had made a profit of over 300 thousand gold coins and 20 platinum coins mostly in the form of Bank vouchers and cards.

I was wondering whether it was prudent of me to exchange such a large amount of money, as it would cause me a big hindrance when it came time to travel.

Not including the amounts within these vouchers, the wealth I owned was already pretty heavy and cumbersome, and could only be carried with help of the Sled.

Anymore and I don't think the sled would help me anymore.

I seriously had to think of a way to stash my money.

It seemed like a Bank was becoming my only option to my dislike.

I decided to think about it later, the money that wasn’t in convenient bank tender form I safeguarded inside big clay pots.

Although things calmed down after my big ticket items sold out, the reputation of my shop was through the roof.

My shop stayed crowded throughout the whole day.

If it weren’t for me being extremely assertive in order of arrival and screaming things could’ve gotten out of hand.
