As the Ranker event progressed all kinds of transactions and deals were made throughout the many market stands.
But even with the amount of valuable merchandise that was being sold all around, the young Ranker Guso had already attracted the eyes and attention of those who valued the items he had come to sell.
Guso in his ignorance didn’t know about the availability and value of many items, the inner workings and requirements of combat classes, and the needs for materials that arose to satisfy them.
Guso could have never known that although he was in Volunterra and Warriors and their subclasses were the most common Rankers around him, being one himself, that that didn’t mean that was all there was to be found, or that the other combat classes were particularly that rare.
Other than Warrior the next two most popular Combat Classes in the Republic were Beast Masters followed by Magons, mostly Mage types.
What normal people thought was more widespread, the Marksman Class was relegated to fourth place in popularity.
It was quite hard to become a certified Master Hunter who could acquire the precious beast parts of high-level beasts that almost all combat classes needed.
The truly exceptional power-increasing consumables that the Master Crafters and Concoctioners could make for such individuals were almost without exception made in part from such beasts.
And the hunting of such powerful beasts was perhaps even more dangerous than embarking on a Ranker journey.
For those unspecialized Rankers who were forced to attempt such a feat, if they managed to survive, little desire was left to try to do so again.
But despite the need for such kind of qualified Hunters or Poachers, there were relatively few such individuals in all of Volunterra.
And so most of such beast huntings was carried out by massive hunting expeditions sponsored by Companies, Rankers, Experts, or the Government itself.
The only other way to reliably get such beast parts was from the well-known powerful Creature Heart Organization.
But all materials they sold they charged astronomical prices for.
And so when deals on high-level beast parts showed up all Rankers would take full advantage of it.
Guso was probably one of the few Hunters that wasn’t completely tied to the Hegemon that was the Creature Heart Organization.
Since it was their Organization that made becoming a Master Hunter the most feasible, most Hunters in Volunterra worked for them.
It is also because of them that becoming a Beast Master, the second most popular class, wasn’t all that hard thanks to the establishment and widespread support of the Creature Heart Organization's Beast Master program.
Through Volunterras Government itself involving itself in asking for facilitation of beast acquisition from Creature Heart, more Warriors in Volunterra made the jump to Beast Master every day.
There was no incentive not to, the Organization did half the work themselves.
They only had to raise and bond with the beast after acquiring it.
Getting the beast from them was not that hard either with the Organization offering beasts at many price ranges for many budgets and even having programs like work or mission exchange.
Once the Beast was acquired you were officially a Beast Tamer and powering up your combat Class has always been an Experts main priority.
Therefore special ingredients, resources, and specific beast body parts are a huge business in the Ranker world since many of these beasts have specialized diets.

The organization related to all things animals, creatures, and beasts when it came to these things you were hard-pressed to find a better alternative.
Another thing Guso didn’t know was that Mages were huge on beast part ingredients for many of their magical endeavors.
Although they weren’t in the UKM magic could be found and practiced all around Potestera.
Hence why he received Magic Crystals as an offer, a good number of Mages had become his customers.
Before he even knew as per Guso fashion he became the hot topic of conversation in many circles.
Rumors spread of a young Hunter Ranker that sold valuable and rare beast parts from powerful beasts.
But it would be to the disappointment of many that Guso had already depleted his beast part inventory and he had no mind to restock anytime soon.

After a successful stint in flash selling in which I managed to free myself of most of my cumbersome beast products, I decided to move on and focus on buying rather than selling.
I put away my earnings and proceeded to search around the market.
While selling my stuff I didn’t receive any trade or bartering offers for cool items which is what I was kind of looking forward to; although Ranker currency and gold were not something I would complain about.
I found it weird being in this event that I noticed that everyone was either super respectful or rudely arrogant, there was no in-between, and there also didn’t seem to be any scams going around.
I was expecting more of a black market environment with advantageous peddler's, shop owners, and bullies.
But this trade exchange was more orderly than even Martial Citadels' Downtown Plaza.
I was more or less expecting a couple of Ranker duels at some point in time but nobody seemed to want any trouble.
Some people were very friendly with each other but most people were very distant if not very apathetic to everyone around them.
I figured it was a Ranker thing and stopped dwelling on it.
I was sure the more I mingled with these people the more of the reasons behind their habits and behavior I would find.
I decided to continue my journey and look for items that would boost my strength and stamina and overall constitution.
Despite my limited budget I still planned to enjoy the Ranker Event experience to its fullest.
Having already formed a decent mental image of the plaza layout I moved forward with trying to find the items that would help me reach the next level in my Ranker Journey.
But before that a familiar feeling hit me, the time had come for me to grab some grub.
I wasted no time and settled on a stand that seemed to have quality yet affordable food.
The Stand sold soup bowls made of ingredients that were supposed to help in your mental concentration.
Concentration was always something I was looking to get better at especially now that I was an Inner Martial Artist, and seeing that I couldn’t find a better deal around, as the guy sold the bowl for 10 gold coins, a fortune in the outside world, but a drop in the bucket here, I ended up buying two of the bowls.
After having eaten my soups and indeed feeling like I had gained more concentration I continued exploring the event grounds with excitement and curiosity gushing from within me.
I was like a kid at a candy shop.
I wanted it all!
