“Salvatore….”
It was like her soul was sucked out of her body. Griselda couldn’t stop herself from staring at Salvatore who she saw die right before her eyes.
“?!”
Suddenly she turned into a black streak across the sky as she escaped with everything she had.
“Hahahaha! She ran away just from seeing your face. She must really hate you.”
Cesare, who was supposed to be dead as well, mocked Salvatore.
“Wow, she’s fast. I don’t think I can catch her.”
Salvatore ignored Cesare and looked in Griselda’s direction.
“You should’ve at least try. That woman is a very dangerous existence.”
Benito said. Salvatore looked at him with a frown.
“You don’t need to tell me that, I know that more than anyone. She did kill me after all.”
He peeked at the black flute in Benito’s hands.
“But I gotta say, you sure accepted help from a dangerous group of people, Benito. That thing isn’t something that should exist in this world.”
“You say that, but you’re obviously planning to steal it. Just so you know, even if you got a hold of this flute you’ll never be free from its spell. It’s my Anima that was used to summon you from the dead, so I’m your master until you return to being a corpse.”
“You’ve gotten cocky, brat. I still remember when you two used to cower whenever I met your parents.”
“That’s in the past, Salvatore. You’re no longer the invincible tyrant, you’re nothing but my puppet.”
Benito pointed the flute.
“Now onward, the two of you! We have a war win and people to kill!”
Salvatore and Cesare’s eyes became dull and they started marching like lifeless robots. Benito watched them with a pleased expression.
“With these two everything is under my control.”
Meanwhile, Griselda was shooting through the air like a rocket.
“What the fuck?! What the fuck?! What the fuck?!”
She screamed at the top of her lungs. She brought her hands in front of her and saw that they were shaking. She clenched them and brought them into her chest.
“Calm down. There must be some logical explanation for all of this. The dead shouldn’t be able to come alive right?”
(It can.)
“?!”
Griselda stopped when she heard a familiar voice in her head.
“Shancai?! Where are you?!”
(Look down.)
Griselda quickly looked down and saw Shancai and the girls on the ground below her. She descended and landed in front of him breathing heavily.
“Boss, you’re pale.”
Fraus approached her and tried to wipe the sweat from her face but Griselda stopped her.
“I’m fine.”
“Looks like you ran into a ghost.”
Griselda suddenly grabbed Shancai’s shoulders.
“Shancai, whats going on?! Why did I just see Benito Mussolini with Salvatore Riina?!”
“Wait, did you say Salvatore?! Isn’t he dead?!”
Fraus instantly reacted to Salvatore’s name. Amelia and Reina were surprised as well because they had heard about Salvatore but they also heard that he was killed by Tony Gambino.
“Calm down. First, you need to know what happened to the base and then I’ll explain the situation.”
“Did something happen at the base?”
If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
Shancai then explained that Benito had destroyed the club and killed everyone in an instant.
“Benito!”
Griselda spoke Benito’s name with such intensity that it sounded like she was chewing it.
“He used Salvatore, I’m sure of it. Ah, that’s right! Shancai explain what’s going on!”
Griselda got close to him and said.
“Fine. I’ll try to keep it simple.”
Shancai took a deep breath and then said-
“I believe Benito Mussolini acquired the support of a certain organization.”
“What kind of organization?”
“To simply put, they are a group of mercenaries. They can act as soldiers in war, spies, kidnappers, even thieves. They’re pretty much like Pandemonium which makes sense since they are deeply linked to them.”
“Deeply linked to Pandemonium….Then Rory is involved?”
Amelia asked. Shancai shook his head.
“Rory isn’t involved, none of the current memories of pandemonium is involved in this incident. That’s what I at least believe. The members of this organization don’t move in groups after all. They act solo and for their own selfish reasons. Of course it isn’t strange for two or more of their members to temporarily share a common goal and working together.”
Shancai looked towards the sun.
“Well, with the Pure lands opening I doubt that they’re in this city anymore. They would suffer major damage after all.”
“Shancai, stop beating around the bush.”
Griselda looked at him seriously.
“Tell me straight, what are we dealing with? Who are they?”
Shancai glimpsed at the sun again before speaking.
“They’re called Kur, and they’re an organization whose true goal is to master necromancy and produce a True God of Death.”
Wildlands outside of Cugine City. The masked woman Anput was traveling on a motorcycle which had a skeletal design.
“Hm?”
She stopped her bike when she saw that there was a group of people standing blocking her path.
“Maids?”
Who blocked her path were three women dressed in maid uniforms. Anput didn’t recognize these women but they were the three maids who were assigned to Rory’s mansion in the Golden Breath Villa.
“Hello, Anput. It’s been a while.”
The head maid Emilia stepped forward and greeted Anput.
“Who are you?”
Anput started focusing all of her senses on Emilia, after a while a look of shock appeared on her face under the mask. Emilia smiled when she saw that. A bright light covered her and the other two maids, when the light disappeared two of the girls were gone and only one person blocked Anput’s path. She had short darkish purple hair, a voluptuous figure, and was dressed in a revealing leather jacket and a skirt. On her chest was a tattoo of a demon.
“Mio Amore?!”
Anput started to reflexively back way on her bike.
“Hey, don’t run now. Not after you threw all of my plans into chaos.”
“Plans? I don’t know what you’re talking about?”
“Really? You people are as careless as ever. You didn’t even check who was in this city before you got involved in its matters. Rory wasn’t the only pandemonium member there.”
“I see. Now I know how Lucian ended up there. You led him there didn’t you?”
“What’s wrong with that? You know the relationship those two have, don’t they have a right to meet?”
Mio put her hand on her waist and said.
“But is this okay, Anput? Does Kur really want to make Rory upset?”
“Hmph. That man isn’t the same person he was before. There’s nothing to fear from him now. I’m even stronger than him at the moment.”
Mio nodded.
“Indeed, because he gave it his all to repel Zahak, Rory received the most severe injury back then. That injure caused his strength to become unstable so even though he’s regain full control he’s no stronger than he was 100 years ago. In fact, he’s definitely the weakest member of Pandemonium at the moment.”
“See? What’s there to fear from him? I’m more afraid of you.”
Anput pointed at Mio.
“A General in the Sacred Army isn’t someone to mess around with after all.”
Anput took off her mask and revealed her beautiful face. She was dark skinned, had white hair, and slit golden eyes.
“For us Night Kin, you people of the Sacred Army are our worst enemies. You are also known for your dirty tactics.”
“Are you afraid I have an army on stand-by?”
“I wouldn’t be surprised if you did. Sacred Generals can deploy armies without any authorization from anyone after all. If you want to use an army to get rid of me it’s more than possible.”
“I won’t waste our resources like that. So relax.”
“I won’t trust the words of a woman who betrayed her old comrades and join the enemy. If Rory ever finds out that you joined the Sacred-”
Anput was unable to finish her words because she suddenly felt like she was at the bottom of the ocean. Her body felt sluggish and she couldn’t breath.
“My relationship with Rory is none of your business. You’re lucky that I haven’t killed you yet for messing up my plans.”
“…..Do it and Thanatos won’t be quiet.”
“I don’t fear Thanatos.”
“But you do fear Nergal. I can’t kill you but Nergal can, also it will ruin your relationship with Samedi.”
“….You sure know how to talk.”
Mio turned her back to Anput and started to walk away.
“Tell Samedi that he needs to know where he stands. Before he was Kur, he was Pandemonium.”
Anput smiled put back on her mask.
“I’ll be sure to tell him.”
Anput immediately rode her bike in the opposite direction and left.
“Is that alright?”
A voice rang out in the Wildlands. There was no telling where it was coming from.
“While things aren’t going how I planned, the result should be the same or even better. Fighting the undead should be a great experience for Amelia and Reina.”
Mio answered.
“I see. But Lucian Erebus, where did he go?”
“You didn’t even ask about your Grandniece but you’re asking about him.”
“Reina isn’t my problem.”
Mio smiled and pointed towards the sun.
“He went to where we’re going now,.”
“The Pure Lands huh? I haven’t met Guanyin in a while.”
“Me too. It should be fun. Right, Rei?”
The same time in Cugine City in Silver Bullets District.
*BAM!*
Buildings started coming down one after the other. Someone was seen crashing through them causing them to collapse. This person twisted their body and stopped themselves by planting their feet in the ground.
“Whew~! What a punch, Lucas.”
Tony wiped the blood from his mouth and said. Lucas walked through the destroyed district with two golden brass knuckles on his hands.
“There’s more to come, Tony.”
“Really, then can I feel some of those as well?”
The two heard a new voice and turned and saw Pearl with Rory standing behind her. Rory stepped out and faced the two with Pearl.
“But we’re just an injured man and a woman, so please hold back a little.”
A huge smile appeared on Rory’s.
“Or come at us with everything you got. Either way is fine.”
