“Father, is it really alright letting him go?”
On the outskirts of the city, Dex and Timothy stood and looked towards the capital.
“That guy is powerful, but he’s a little…”
“Don’t worry, Lord Dex. I’m perfectly aware that Eis isn’t of stable mind.”
Timothy smiled.
“That’s why his involvement will throw everything out of whack.”
In the city, Eis stood between the two sides which were facing each other. He had an innocent smile on his face, as he looked towards the Aficionado members.
“So he’s the fourth?”
“His anima is as cold as always.”
“This could work.”
The trio spoke one after the other while sizing Eis up.
“I was told that I must kill some people going against the Sacred God. Where are they?”
Eis asked.
‘What a stupid question. It’s obvious that they’re behind you.’
Marut thought to himself. Even so, he lifted his hand and pointed.
“It’s them. Kill as many as you can.”
He said.
Eis looked at Amelia and the others.
“So this many people defy our god?”
He spoke with a blank face.
“This isn’t good. You all must learn to love god, otherwise he won’t love you.”
He then swung his arm towards them.
A large iceberg appeared out of thin air and rushed towards them.
*Bam!*
This iceberg was hit with a strong burst of flames which caused it to evaporate instantly and cause fog to cover the battlefield.
“Hm?”
That moment a sword pierced out of the fog appeared inches away from Eis’s head. However, the sword was stopped by a wall of ice.
“Ignite!”
Suddenly, the sword released a burst of flames which destroyed the ice. The sword then resumed its path towards Eis’s head with Amelia behind it.
“Looks like you refuse my punishment.”
Eis reached out and grabbed the tip of Amelia’s sword. To her surprise, she couldn’t budge any further.
“If that’s the case, then a more severe punishment is in order.”
*Crackle!*
Amelia heard a strange sound and looked at her sword.
“?!”
Her sword was being frozen before her very eyes. She immediately let it go, but the sense of danger didn’t leave her.
*Clang!*
It was at that moment that a chain wrapped around her and pulled her back. While she was being pulled back, she looked and saw the spot she was standing at covered with ice. Even her sword looked like it was made of ice instead of metal.
“That was close. You almost died back there.”
Said Reina. She was the one who pulled Amelia out of danger with her chain.
“You shouldn’t have recklessly charge in. Can’t you tell?”
Reina looked at Eis as she scolded Amelia.
“That guy is a monster.”
She said.
“Hm? She escaped divine punishment again?”
Eis let go of the frozen sword and let it fall to the ground. The moment it did, the sword broke into pieces like it was made of glass.

A chill ran down Amelia’s spine when she saw that.
“Wow, he has skills.”
Said Eleleth.
She looked back at Richard who seemed to be enjoying the show.
“Question.”
“Go ahead.”
Richard responded.
“Do we have to kill everyone to win the bet?”
Eleleth asked.
Richard shook his head.
“Just the main cast. The background characters aren’t really important.”
He answered.
“In other words, we just need to kill the big guns?”
Eleleth asked.
“Correct.”
Richard replied.
“That works out better for me. Now I don’t have to waste my time on the bugs and instead can focus on the rodents.”
Harut said while eyeing Xavier.
“Then lets divide up the work.”
Marut stepped forward.
“I’ll kill them all.”
After saying that he rushed towards his first target, James.
“Bring it!”
James lifted his sword and rushed towards him as well.
“Idiot!”
Marut smiled and lifted his arm in front of him. His palms started to glow.
“Die!”
A white anima blast was shot from his palms and headed towards James. James saw it, and decided to cut it with his sword since he didn’t believe he could dodge it.
*Bam!*
The sword and blast clashed and caused an explosion. James was seen flying back with his clothes in tatters.
“Whew~. I thought that would kill him. He has a little skill after all.”
Marut said with a calm tone.
James on the other hand was shaking from head to toe.
‘I stopped it, but how could such a weak looking anima blast have that much power?’
He thought to himself.
“Once more.”
Marut rushed towards him again and fired another anima blast. James releases his anima and poured it into his sword and was about to swing.
“…….”
However, he suddenly stopped and instead avoided it with all he could.
“Hm? He avoided it. I thought that he was the confrontational type. I might be wrong.”
Marut said.
James quickly rushed over to Liam.
“What is it? Why did you use Brooks’ animus to call me over?”
James asked.
“Brother, how about a truce?”
Liam asked.
“You should’ve realized that the enemy is strong and was only playing with you. If he wanted to, he could’ve killed you with the first attack.”
“Yeah, I don’t think he was bragging when he said he would kill us himself.”
James said.
“Fine, we’re all screwed anyway.”
James agreed.
“Good. Now I can consider you my comrade.”
Liam said.
“Now my animus can affect you too.”
He said.
“Looks like they’re scheming something.”
Eleleth approached Marut and said.
“Why won’t you attack them?”
She asked.
“The same reason why you and Harut haven’t.”
Marut looked in a certain direction.
“I can feel the Scorpion Queen’s gaze locked on me. Her killing intent is making me nervous.”
He said.
*Bam!*
They heard an explosive sound and looked to their side. There they saw Eis attacking Amelia and Reina.
He created giant spikes of ice and sent them flying at the two, who maneuvered out of the way to attack him. However, whenever they got close to him, they were assaulted by the cold and their movements would slow down.
Seining that, Eis waved his hand and countless ice arrows fired at them. The two had to retreat and avoid the arrows at the same time. They of course couldn’t avoid them all, and got hit a few times.
They stood far away from Eis breathing heavily. Eis on the other hand, haven’t moved an inch from where he stood in their entire exchange.
“Well, isn’t he impressive. He’s able to shake off that monster’s killing intent and attack with a clear mind.”
Eleleth said.
“I guess we should do the same.”
She jumped in the air and aimed a kick at where Liam and James were.
“Marut, I’ll be taking your prey!”
Her foot started flowing with Sacred anima, which caused those in its path to feel like they were destined to be trampled.
“?!”
*Bam!*
However, Eleleth was hit from the side and had to change her course. She landed away from the princes and looked at her attacker.
“My brothers seem to have already chosen their opponent, so allow me to do the same.”
Christi said as he walked towards Eleleth.
‘This kid….He feels similar to the Scorpion Queen.’
Eleleth thought while sizing him up.
“Greetings Sacred Church. I’m Christi, your former puppet.”
After he said that, his body released a venomous Wild Anima.
“Is that so?”
Seeing that, Eleleth smiled and lifted one leg slightly in the air and took a fighting pose.
“Then allow me to cut your strings so that you never move again.”
“Looks like everyone is choosing their opponents.”
Harut said to Xavier.
“Then let’s get this started, Rodent.”
He said.
“I know you see this wolf mask. Allow me to show you how ferocious we are!”
Xavier pounced towards Harut with his fists clenched.
“Bring it!”
Harut rushed towards him with his entirely body glowing with Sacred Anima. The two quickly stood in front of the other and threw their fists.
*Bam!*
Shockwaves spread out and blew away their surroundings.
*Bam!* *Bam!* *Bam!*
Loud sounds resounded as they slugged each other with neither backing down. However, it wasn’t an equal fight.
“Ugh!”
Xavier was taking far more hits than his opponent; and every hit felt like it could end him.
“Ahhh!”
He roared and hit Harut with an uppercut.
“Is that all you got?”
*Bam!*
Harut hit him across the face and sent him flying.
“Your Majesty!”
Allan quickly got behind him and caught him.
“Do you realize your place, Rodent?”
Harut looked at Xavier and said.
“You bastard!”
Electric sparks started emitting from Allan’s body in his rage.
“Oh? Do you want to fight?”
Harut started approaching the two.
“B-Bring it…”
Xavier struggled out of Allan’s grasp and stood up.
“I’ll smash that ugly face of yours!”
Allan stood next to him and took a fighting position.
Harut frowned.
“Rodents really to love to group up together.”
He said.
Meanwhile Reina and Amelia still couldn’t reach Eis and could only try to attack him from a far.
The cold wind around Eis would immediately weaken or extinguished Amelia’s flames, thus rendering her attacks useless.
He also had a strong ice wall around him as well creating countless projectiles to fire at them. He looked at peace while doing all this.
“Tch. I don’t want to admit it, but he’s just toying with us.”
Reina said.
“I have a proposal. We’ve been attacking separately and it’s not getting anywhere, so how about we attack together?”
She asked.
“Tsk! The very idea instantly made me sick to the stomach.”
Amelia said.
“That makes two of us.”
Reina said.
“I don’t like you, but I guess it can’t be helped. Too much is on the line.”
Amelia glanced at Richard as she spoke. She then looked back at Eis and stood side by side with Reina.
“Let’s go, lizard.”
“Hmph. Don’t fall behind, you stupid cat!”
