Lukas looked at the werewolf's body on the ground and then at his blades covered in blood. The werewolf's blood was red, just like human blood, so Lukas felt slightly different than normal.
But he didn't think much about it.
He heard voices from the corridors a few seconds after dealing with the monster. Then a bald man entered the classroom wearing leather armor.
Lukas turned to look at him, and the man froze after looking into Lukas's eyes.
"I've dealt with it; you don't need to worry." Lukas swung his blades, drawing off the excess blood, and walked past the players. He wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible.
He didn't want to be chased by reporters again.
The men in the hallways couldn't say anything as Lukas walked away.
"Damn." But unfortunately for Lukas, the school had already been interdicted, and some cars from news channels started to arrive. Since he couldn't do anything about it, he decided to proceed.
As soon as he approached the gate, which guards sent by the association were protecting, the cameras started taking pictures of him and recording him. Lukas thought it impossible that he could get used to this.
"Excuse me, could you tell us what is happening inside?" A woman asked. Then other journalists approached and placed their microphones in front of Lukas. He thought for a few seconds before saying something.
Again he tried to change his voice. It worked better this time, but he was curious if it would be enough to fool his parents' ears.
"A werewolf appeared. We don't know how it came to the school, but it probably came out of the portal that opened near the school a few days ago."

Lukas remembered the day his sister had her classes delayed by a few hours because of an attack near the school. That werewolf had probably managed to stay alive and hid somewhere.
"Are you saying the players who cared for the [Break] were irresponsible?" As journalists always do, the woman tried to create intrigue between Lukas and some players.
And he fell for it
"Yes, they are irresponsible. They should have checked carefully. We are in the area of a school; they should be more careful."
After answering this, several questions started coming up, but Lukas refused to answer them. Lukas hurried his steps, picked up his backpack, then disappeared. But he didn't expect one thing.
Among the reporters and some curious people, a little girl with short black hair and light blue eyes saw him pick up his backpack and run away.
"Brother?"

After dealing with the attack, Lukas picked up his cell phone and called his sister.
"Carla, are you okay? Just as we arrived at school, an attack happened. I'm sorry I ran off without you. I was too scared."
[ It's okay, don't worry ] Her sister said indifferently.
"So you forgive me?"
[ Yes, I forgive you. I'm coming home now, where are you? We can go back together. ]
"I'm near the school. I'm in front of that blue building, two blocks from the school. Next to Publix."
[ Right, I'll be there in a moment. ] After saying this, Carla hung up the call.
Lukas sighed and then brought both hands to his head. "Ah, that excuse didn't work. Carla knows I wouldn't leave her."
Lukas was an overprotective brother, and Carla loved and hated that.
"But I hope she hadn't noticed anything."
Lukas sat on a bench in front of the blue building mentioned earlier and waited for his sister. There she was, wearing her school uniform and with her red backpack on her back.
Her black hair swayed in the wind, and her blue eyes, like their mother's, could be seen even from a distance. Clear and beautiful eyes. Unlike Lukas' that were black like his hair.
Lukas had eyes like their father's.
"So, shall we go home?" Carla said as she stared at Lukas. She looked him up and down, looking for bloodstains or anything that might indicate that he was the boy she had seen.
But there was nothing.
Fortunately, Lukas remembered washing his weapons and putting them in his backpack. In addition, he was careful not to get his clothes dirty.
But even so, Carla still knew this was her brother, mainly because of his backpack, height, muscles, hair color, and everything else. She knew every detail of her brother and could recognize him easily.
"Did you really run away when the attack happened at school?" Carla asked as she walked beside Lukas.
"What do you mean?"
"... It's nothing. Forget it." Lukas wanted to keep this a secret, and Carla knew why. She resolved not to question him about it but would surely talk to him later.
And she promised herself that she wouldn't say anything to their parents.
However, just like them, she couldn't help but feel scared. She was afraid of losing her brother to a monster. She didn't want him to be a player and risk his life.
But what right does she have to stop him?
She knew she could talk to their parents, and they would do something about it. However, she would be "betraying" her brother. Carla didn't know what to do.
