Chapter 29 - Die.

Chapter 29 - Die.

Lukas felt frustrated, but there was nothing he could do. He walked slowly to where he had left his items and picked them up. His body was very sore, so after walking for more minutes, Lukas sat on the dungeon floor.

He wanted to go after the exit.

He was already tired. He had been inside the dungeon for almost three hours. He just wanted to return to his house and take a hot bath. He didn't care about that damn tiger anymore.

Haaa~~

Lukas sighed and opened his Status.

[Name ] Lukas

[ Class ] Media Player SSS ( Single class )

[ Level ] 15 (120/1500)

[Strength ] D (0%)

[ Stamina ] C (80%)

[Agility ] D (40%)

[Magic ] E (60%)

"I hadn't noticed, but my strength has reached Rank D. It will probably return to Rank E if I remove my items." Lukas touched the necklace on his neck and soon after removed his mask.

As soon as he took it off, his Magic Status dropped by one rank. Lukas felt a sense of freedom after removing it from his face. It was nice to act mysterious, but that mask bothered him.

"I'm going to rest for another twenty minutes and then go after the exit. Man, I'm pissed." Lukas couldn't stop thinking about the sword that had been stolen.

Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.

And after standing there for another twenty minutes, Lukas finally decided to leave. But just as he was getting ready to look for the exit, he began to hear some voices.

He put his mask back on again.

Then someone Lukas knew appeared. It was the same guy he had met in the association building earlier—the guy who probably held an important position.

'If I remember correctly, his name is Elis.' Along with Elis, there were two other men and a redheaded woman. The woman wore full body armor made of black leather and tight-fitting. Lukas found the woman quite attractive.

"Wait, there's someone over there." The first to notice Lukas was Elis. He approached cautiously, and his eyebrows rose. "I see." He smiled weakly and then clapped his hand on Lukas' shoulder.

"What is it? Do you know him? He looks injured." One of the men, wearing light leather armor and holding a spear, said. Although his armor looked simple, it was of enormous quality and offered him top-notch protection.

"I don't know him. So, kid, what happened? Why are you here?" Elis asked Lukas. Lukas let out a sigh before telling him what had happened.

He decided to omit some information but told Elis almost everything.

"I see, so you entered here without knowing what was happening. I'm sorry you got yourself into this trouble."

"Never mind. I want to get out now. Could you guys tell me where the exit is? The pattern of the dungeon has changed, and I'm a little lost."

"So I wasn't going crazy." The other man, who had been silent until that moment, said. He wore a black cloak that went down to his feet and held a large wooden staff with a large red crystal.

He was the group's mage.

"I told you that the dungeon is different. I came here a few months ago to accompany one of my students." He said.

"Hmm..." Elis put his hand on his chin and looked at the various paths. "It's been many years since I came to this place, so I didn't realize it was different. Hey, was the dungeon modified while you were in here?"

"That's right."

"That's a bit unbelievable. I need to report that to my superior." Elis had a serious look on his face. "One last question... Have you seen a giant tiger around? The group I sent to kill it left the dungeon some time ago, and they've not found it."

"I met the group you are talking about. They were in a lot of trouble, you know? If I hadn't helped them, they would be dead now. You should be careful who you choose to do this type of work."

Listening to Lukas, the woman behind Elis was about to say something, but he stopped her.

"Don't worry; I've already taken responsibility for that. I thank you for helping them. They didn't tell me about you; I'll reward you accordingly when we get out of here."

"I don't want any reward. I just want you to show me where the exit is. I'm tired... I want to go home."

"Hahahaha, that boy is funny, Elis." The man with the staff approached. "Then I'll take you to the exit." He is the guy who was talking to Elis on his cell phone earlier.

"Are you an idiot, Klaus? We need you. We can't let you go with him." The woman behind Elis stepped forward. Lukas looked at her face, and their eyes met.

The woman didn't seem happy to see him for some reason. Lukas narrowed his eyes and decided to go on his way.

"I'm going now." He put on his hoodie and picked up his items on the floor.

"See what you've done, Yuri? You made the boy uncomfortable."

"Huh? Are you kidding?"

"Elis, can I go with him? I'll take this opportunity to get some information. Since he's been here for a while, he must have some things to tell, right?"

Lukas shrugged and ignored him, continuing to walk away.

The woman named Yuri clicked her tongue.

"Klaus, take him to the exit and return as soon as possible. Yuri, Falcon, and I will try to find the tiger. We'll also keep mapping the area to make things easier."

"Elis!

"Yuri, don't worry. Klaus will be back soon."

"Hehe, I'll come soon, Yuri."

"Die."
