Chapter 11 - Anomaly.

Chapter 11 - Anomaly.

The other two goblins, scared, swung their small wooden clubs, trying to hit Lukas, but Lukas skillfully avoided their weapons and, with a quick movement, decapitated both goblins simultaneously.

Blood spurted from their necks, and their heads rolled on the ground.

Lukas' heart was racing. Even though the monsters he had just killed were weak, he was very excited. However, he kept his composure and didn't say anything unnecessary.

Acting calmly, he opened his system.

[Name] Lukas

[Class] Media Player SSS (Unique Class)

[Level] 1 (30/100)

[Strength] F

[Endurance] D

[Agility] E

[Magic] G

Something new had appeared. It was the amount of experience needed for him to level up. He also realized that he had ignored some notifications.

[You killed a goblin! +10]

[You killed a goblin! +10]

[You killed a goblin! +10]

Each goblin would give him ten experience points, so he needed to kill 10 to level up to level two. As many goblins were in this dungeon, he knew it would be easy to level up.

"Where should I go now?"

Since the dungeon was a cave, there were many different paths. There were four different paths to follow. They were all very similar, dark, damp, and also intimidating.

If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.

It was intimidating because you not knew what you would encounter.

On the first path, he could encounter a group of 50 goblins or maybe a group of 100 goblins. Lukas knew that was almost impossible since it was a Rank G dungeon, but he still felt slightly nervous.

"Well, I'll go this way." Lukas decided to go to the right. The path was slightly larger and slightly better lit. There were some torches on the walls, similar to castle torches.

The stone floor began to be covered with grass. The grass grew taller as Lukas advanced. Not only that, but the environment also became slightly colder.

"Maybe because of this place, the portal released that cold air?" Lukas looked around, recording every detail of that room. He wanted to show everything to his viewers.

The room was large, probably more than 40 square meters. The floor was covered with beautiful light green grass. The walls, which were covered in moss before, were now clean.

But what caught the most attention was the ceiling.

Stalactites of ice were on the entire ceiling. That's why it was cold.

But it was strange. Why would something like this be here?

"I don't remember anything like this existing in this dungeon..." He had studied a lot, and this dungeon was also very famous. Such a room shouldn't exist here. Lukas started to get a little nervous.

His hands began to sweat, and he felt something strange in his chest. It was like a signal telling him:

YOU NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

Then, the ground shook.

Following the strong tremor, the ice stalactites on the ceiling began to break and fall toward the ground. Lukas, desperate, started running with all his might to get out of there as quickly as possible.

"DAMN!"

Lukas almost got hit directly by one of the stalactites. The stalactite deeply cut his right leg. However, due to adrenaline, Lukas didn't feel any pain.

GWAAAAA~~

After the tremor subsided, a roar pierced Lukas' eardrums.

The stalactites had shattered into small pieces and had already begun to melt. But not all of them broke; some penetrated the ground and turned into ice pillars.

And among those pillars of ice, a monster emerged.

"What the hell..." Lukas' eyes widened. A bead of sweat rolled down his cheek.

####

A few minutes earlier, a report had been received in the association's main building. A Rank E player, recently awakened, had arrived at the association building with various injuries on his body.

The injuries were not serious, but everyone in the association felt sorry for him because of his mental state. He was terrified. He was screaming.

"A monster! There's a monster that shouldn't be there!"

He was calmed down by Elis, one of the association's central employees.

He was also the only one who received the man's report. It was pretty unbelievable, but the man had no reason to lie, so Elis took it seriously and sent a qualified group to the dungeon called "Dying Goblins."

In addition, he requested that contact be made with the guards at the dungeon's entrance to prevent any more players from entering.

After that was done, Elis sighed and sat in his office chair. He lit a cigarette, and then the door to his office was rudely opened.

"Something bad has happened." It was a woman who worked at the reception. Her name was Emma. Her expression was complicated. Elis quickly realized something serious had happened, so he put out his cigarette and asked the woman to tell him what had happened.

"It's about that boy you told me to keep an eye on. I just received information that he went to the 'Dying Goblins' dungeon. It's been almost an hour."

"Almost an hour? Maybe he hasn't reached there yet. Ask the guards to keep an eye!"

"So..."

"Don't tell me..."

"It seems he arrived before the guards were informed about the incident. Also, none of the other players tried to stop him. Those idiots, they should have at least alerted the guards that something was wrong!"

"Damn. Do I have to go there?"

"Don't worry, the group you sent is already there. I'm sure everything will be fine." Despite saying that, she was pretty nervous.

"Why did he have to go to that dungeon?" Elis lamented.
