Chapter 16 - Wave.

Lukas was ready to move on, but the notifications kept coming. It was an absurd number, and he had to take advantage of it. He opened the system store again and a new category this time.

[ Skills ]

He had no passive or active skills; his status was empty. And this was making Lukas uncomfortable.

Typically, players get a new skill leveling up, but this was different for him. From the beginning, he had to buy skills. "The big problem is that most of them are very expensive."

Even the most basic skills, like the skill [ Stab ], which was common among swordsmen, cost 300 likes. The system was overpricing, but Lukas couldn't do anything about it.

The person who gave the system to him could be more generous, but that probably wouldn't happen.

"Okay, I need attack skills to fight with my dagger." Lukas wanted to try magic, but for now, his Magic Status was very low, and it would be useless to try to get a magic ability.

The skills that caught his attention the most were.

[ Thunder Storm ]

Effect - With your weapon, create a storm of lightning to paralyze the enemy.

Rank - D

Value - 400

"It's not bad, but it's also not a skill that would help me fight against that tiger. He probably has a high magic resistance; I won't be able to paralyze him for more than 5 seconds." That skill was ruled out.

The next skill.

[ Deep Cut ]

Effect - Penetrate your opponent's flesh more easily.

Rank - D

Value - 400

"The two have the same value, but the second one is more interesting. The last time I tried to hit the tiger, I couldn't hurt it. Maybe with this, it will be possible." Lukas looked at his number of likes.

[ Accumulated Likes ] - 2,567

"Let's buy that one."

[ Skill 'Deep cut' acquired! ]

"Okay, let's go to the next one."

The following skill was...

[ Blade Creation ]

Effect - Throw sharp blades using the movements of your dagger.

Rank - D

Value - 450

"Hm, creating blades is interesting. It's a skill that allows me to attack enemies from a distance, which could greatly help. But not against that tiger. Next-" But just as Lukas was about to ignore the skill, he had an idea.

He could combine two skills.

"If I use this skill and the skill [ Deep Cut ] simultaneously, will I be able to hurt that monster? Maybe that's possible." Lukas then bought the skill [ Blade Creation ]

He had one skill to attack at a distance and one to increase the damage of his attack, and now he needed one skill to help with his fight style. He wanted speed.

[ Accumulated Likes ] - 3,235

As the number of Likes continued to climb, Lukas decided to spend a large amount of them. He looked skills list for skills of Rank B.

He wanted a strong skill, one that would completely change his strength.

And the one that caught his attention the most was:

[ Quick Movement ]

Effect - Increases the user's agility by 70% for five minutes.

Rank - B

Value - 1,200

"Why is such an amazing skill ranked B? Are there better skills than this? One that increases 100% of my agility?" Lukas looked through the list and found it. However, it was out of the question.

[ Lightning Bolt ]

Effect - Increases the user's agility by 200% for 5 minutes.

Rank - A

Value - 500,000

"The difference between Ranks is a scary thing..." Lukas smiled bitterly. But for now, the Rank B skill was good enough. "Anyway, it doesn't seem that far off." Lukas' likes continued to rise wildly, so he believed he would get 500,000 likes quickly.

####

"Hey Marcus, are we getting close?" The Phoenix group had entered the dungeon some time ago but hadn't gotten anywhere yet. Unlike Lukas, who walked less than one hour until he found the place where the tiger was, the group Phoenix was lost.

Several paths appeared from the beginning, causing them to get lost and confused.

"Not yet, Lana. I don't know..." Marcus stopped walking, and Junior leaned his spear on the ground and sighed.

"I just don't understand. Wasn't it supposed to be a simple dungeon? I remember coming here when I was a beginner, and it was nothing like this. You guys remember it too, don't you?" He looked at the three members of the group just behind him.

"I've never come to this dungeon before," Lana said indifferently.

"I came here only once, so I can't remember. But it's true; the patterns are quite strange, and there are many paths to a beginner dungeon. Usually, dungeons like this are made to be cleared easily." Robert straightened his hat.

Then he looked at the masked ninja next to him. He was the most mysterious of the group and rarely spoke to the other members. But Marcus kept him because he was pretty competent.

"I've never come here before either." The ninja said in his dull, emotionless voice. Robert gave a bitter smile and looked at his leader, Marcus, who was standing still, analyzing his surroundings.

There were several paths around them.

"Okay, let's move on for now."

"Are you sure? I'm getting tired of this." Lana rolled her eyes and banged her staff on the stone wall.

"Hey, don't make so much noise." Standing next to her, Robert put his finger in front of his mouth to signal Lana to be quiet. However, it was too late.

Kiii~~ kii kikiki kiki

Ki~~kiki ki~~

Kikik kikiki

The group heard several strange sounds.

Marcus placed his giant golden shield in front of his body as the sound got louder and louder. A few meters ahead, coming out of several different paths, a wave of goblins hit them.

"Get ready!" Marcus did not lose his composure and activated one of his shield skills.
