Taking Aurora was… interesting,
From the beginning, despite us having taken out their Walkers, the fact still stood that the structure in question was an Arcology, and we wanted to make use of it. As such, attacking in an open manner was not an option,
Honestly speaking, without their Walkers their military value is already non existent.
“...Then what are you after?”
Commercial value.
Ìrota is a major trade hub for the local economy, if we can control it, we will have a major advantage. It might even be possible to win the others without waging any more war.
As such it is necessary to take the Arcology as intact as possible... The C&C better have come through on this one.
Marching towards the Arcology, we were welcomed by rising smoke and powered down defences… C&C did come through.
I had the members of C&C lay siege and take out the Arcology power grid when we arrived, since Ìrota defence weaponry is all top of the line, they are quite reliant on electricity.
As they have completed their task. We pour into the defenceless Arcology, some of the Arcology guns are still firing, not everything can be electronic after all, but it was not nearly enough.
Pouring into the hangars we lay waste to all who oppose us. The civilians among our force were queasy, but the Faceless ensured that they continue functioning.
...The Arcology fought back bravely. Unsurprising, seeing as they fought for survival.
But that did not make them immortal. They were still reliant on their populace. As such some of my core targets was to take the buildings capable of spreading the “word” first. To my surprise many of our ex-civilian units were “proselytizing” for the cause as they fought… Did I go too far with the propaganda?
“...Well, including the slightly subliminal suggestions to your propaganda may have overdone it…”
...It was efficient.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.
And nevertheless, the ethics of it does not matter, assuming we emerge victorious.
Taking over and using various Hub buildings to spread the successes and goals of our revolution worked somewhat, lessening the defences morale and even turning some of the populace to our side…
A great and surprising boon was the local Pharmatic’s Hub wing surrendering without a fight. Asking only to be allowed to treat the wounded from the attack.
“Perhaps not all corporations are corrupt”
...That, or perhaps a better way to think of it would be ‘not all corporation subgroup-heads are corrupt.
“I gotta fix that cynicism of yours… At this rate you will never be popular.”
...Someone liking me got Alicia hurt.
...I don't need to be liked.
Eventually, some hour or two after we laid siege, the Arcology had finally fallen to our control. As such much like last time we began working on getting the Arcology functional, and obedient.
I have a lot more to do, but I will fix my mistakes.
...I wonder. Is my “Revolution” a worthy successor to yours… Lily?

Multiple years have passed since Lily shot Muil and I helped her escape… To this day I am not sure how she is doing…
...She is still alive.
I shoot another hostile down with my rifle.
“All hostiles terminated” I report to HQ.
...After that, we return to base for maintenance.
“As you saw Mu-12 is still functioning exceptionally even after 8 years of active service, it is safe to conclude that first generation converted to generation three have a far longer lifespan than those turned directly into generation three.”
“As such I would like to-
“We know, you wish to take the long route, we told you already professor, there is no reason to care about their lifespan, just work on easing mass production. Now, how is the Walker series coming along?”
“...Quite well sir, the use of Ethiopians for nerve systems has shown a pleasing success rate on reducing complications during the brain-attachment. Walker generation 3 prototype should be ready for testing in another 2 months.”
“Good, get it done, there has been a disturbing increase in insurgency lately.”
“Yes sir. Thank you sir.”
...The elderly government official left the room whilst the researcher kept bowing. Then he turned to me
“Let's go.”
I follow my creator as he brings me to my “tube”, my repair-gel filled coffin of rest between missions…
I wonder, will I ever see you again…
Lily?
