Administrator Realm

Wyxnos loosened his tie and removed his jacket. The indumentary floated in the air as if held by an invisible hanger. He looked at the new racial entry, the only one in a few decades.

He summoned a brick then threw it at the System window. The object flew away and clattered to the ground of the featureless demiplane while the God cursed, "She got a divine spark as a FUCKING PET?"
He heard cackling. It took a few moments before he recognized the voice. "Loki!"
The Asgardian appeared wearing a formal Burberry two-button wool suit. Not quite a tux but almost. The only prominent feature was the tiny embroidery of two snakes overlapping each other on the lapels. He had a full-body mirror in front of him and he admired his form, the golden locks of his hair slick and stuck to his head with grease.
"I must say, the costume does make the man. But I prefer the British style over the Italian even though the latter might have more impact with the ladies."
Loki looked sideways, the mirror vanishing. He gawked. "Wyxnos, dear. You look... disheveled. Did something happen?"
Wyxnos ground his teeth. "Cut the crap, Loki. What do you want."
"Celebrate! Our little experiment just got one step closer to divinity! Wouldn't it be marvelous to have a brand new goddess emerge from your own world? Don't it? Just like you did?"
A spark, a Core, and a Domain. Those were the three elements a creature needed to become a deity. Furthermore, a steady source of Faith power to supply the Core with the required divinity, or in the System jargon, PP to sustain the deity's existence. Without it, the deity would dwindle into nothingness.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
Elder deities could pretend they didn't need followers or a church because they were sitting on metaphorical piles of accumulated Faith. Loki, a case in point, had thousands of years to accumulate his. Worse, as a member of a pantheon, he had a tithe on all the Faith his pantheon garnered, even though he had to tithe a part of his direct Faith as well. And now as a member of the Yznarian pantheon, he also got his tithes from them while giving nothing in return.
Bundi, for example, had Spark, Core, but no Domain. And no Faith was being sent to him. He sat at zero PP out of zero maximum. Wyxnos made sure of it. Sure, the "Human" domain was up for grabs and Bundi could probably claim it when he ascended and returned to his former position, but he would need to rebuild his Church from zero. Worse, being a species domain, he would gain faith from only those of the same species.
"Was this part of your plan?" Wyxnos asked after musing for a while.
"Who can tell?" The Asgardian answered with a neutral face. "Aren't you more worried that the spark she got was demonic in nature?"
Wyxnos shook his head. "No. I can see the Perks she got along with the spark, she literally can't turn into a demon now."
That worry was alleviated, at least for now.
Loki looked down as if he could see the world underneath the floor of the demiplane. "She would make an excellent Valkyrie, wouldn't she?" He mumbled.
Wyxnos wasn't sure if it was directed at him, so he didn't voice his opinion. But if making her a Valkyrie meant taking her to Valhalla, he was a hundred percent behind the idea. That's when he regretted even thinking that.
"System, create an entry for the Class-Path: Valkyrie!" Loki shouted. "First requirement: A connection with a deity from [Asgard]."
> ACKNOWLEDGED.
Wyxnos suddenly found himself unable to breathe. Fortunately, he couldn't die from suffocation.

Prince Rhenius stood at the deck of the flagship. Just two more days and they would be home.
"Stand tall, Your Highness," Duke Arlington said approaching from behind. "Soon you'll be on the throne."
Rhenius couldn't smile. He was worried, "I hope..."
> CONGRATULATIONS. For being the next in line for the throne of Virturia, you are now promoted to [King].
>
> You have access to King Classes for all your Paths.
>
> You gained the Status title: King.
>
> As required by your dynastic rules, your name has changed to Romulus XI.
Rhenius, no, Romulus XI trembled. His father was Romulus IV. For him to become the XI, that meant...
"Cadrel," the new [King] gasped. "My father... my brothers... I... am [King]."
His uncle knelt. "Congratulations are in order, Your Majesty. I pledge my fealty to... Romulus XI."
The Duke's eyes went wide as he realized what the new [King]'s name meant.
Romulus XI helped the older man back on his feet. "Stand, uncle. For I think our time is short. Go, and see your daughter. Say your goodbyes. It is high time we pay for our family crimes."
Unable to think properly with the shock of all the news and what the [King]'s words meant, Cadrel mumbled, "Did she..."
The new ruler's patience ran out. "Yes, she did! Of course, she did! She's the first [Hero]! I knew we shouldn't mention the vault or the portraits but we were so marveled to have found her and survived that accursed expedition that we let our guard down! My father is dead. My brothers are dead! I'm Romulus the XI. That means every other number from IV to X was used up! Stupid dynasty rules!"
> Would you like to change your dynasty rules?
"Fuck you, System!" The [King] cursed.
> ACKNOWLEDGED. Impossible to comply.
"Go, uncle. Spend your last moments with your daughter. I know in my heart she is coming for us. If she entered the vault, we've become targets for the world's deadliest [Assassin]."
Neither he nor his uncle never sacrificed any person to the demons, but they were trained in the rites and sacrificed dozens of animals. Each member on the line of succession of Virturian's Royal Family had to bind and summon at least one Lesser Demon.
For generations, their family tried to control and bind the Demon Lord trapped in the vault. The only one that had success was their first King, the one that murdered King Ackerton. Furthermore, each attempt required the sacrifice of seven virgin women and each person could try only seven times. King Virturia used his last breath to bind the Demon so. On the eighth failure, the binding spell would break and the Demon Lord would be set free.
They might be diabolists, but they weren't dumb diabolists.
