Half a month

Half a month

Half a month passed by in a flash…

Now, the policy that Jack had come up with for the people of Chengyu, the capital of Cayden had taken effect. The ability to join the religion had become a symbol of prestige and honour. The people who were not part of it were now working hard to cover the expenses from the ones who were already part of the faith, completely removing all expenses from Jack's reserves for bringing in more people, and was now in fact further benefitting him since he was getting half of the exp in the form of CP.

Almost 75% of the people in Chengyu had already converted, and the nobles he had brought into his religion on the first day of establishing his religion had also taken action and were recruiting people within their own territories.

This had accomplished the objective of creating a rather significantly large amount of constant CP revenue. Since half of any action or activity regarding exp would be going to himself, CP was no longer a problem.

Unlike the successful Cayden project, the completely useless Heron was still lost in the dessert. Jack, who had already recovered from his mid-existence crisis after listening to the words of [Meta*ron] and [Luc*fer], had even thought of using a significant amount of his CP reserves to buy a teleportation scroll from the CP shop.

However, he realised something about Heron. He had an 'air' to him which was attracting people to follow him, even though the simple action of walking through the desert. His companions, mainly consisting of slaves, had already expanded to 36 people including, stranded merchants, more slaves heading to the same location, and travellers who were exploring the wild desert.

Although he was stupid…well, much worse than just stupid, both his luck, charisma, and sheer strength allowed him to rope in 36 beast-folk from different tribes, as his sub-users, who were effectively his subordinates as acknowledged by the system.

In the Western Continent where Alice was, the war between Leon and Roland was now in full swing. Unlike the Centra continent with enough space to accommodate hundreds of kingdoms with enough unoccupied space to have another hundred more, the Western continent was in a completely opposite situation. The lang would be barely enough to hold around 50 nations, border to border, if they were the average size of those in the central continent. However, in this incredibly small continent, nearly 75 nations were packed in together.

Land. The basic necessity for everything. Resources, humans, wealth, power, everything came from land. And this land is what was lacking in the Western continent. Scarcity of something is what leads to conflicts, and scarcity of land in any world is bound to lead to wars.

That is why every year during spring, many conflicts would arise across all borders. And every few years, major conflicts would result in complete shifts in the power of the continent. An example was Roland. It was currently a considerably large nation, and could be considered within the top 15 in the entire continent. However, this nation was originally not even a nation around 100 years ago! It was formed after a rich merchant family overthrew the king of an already existing nation and took ever the nation under the name of Roland.

On the other hand, Leon was a nation with a long history of matriarchs, and even had a goddess supporting them. Although they were much smaller in terms of land occupied than the newly formed Roland, they had a much longer history, and had firmly rooted themselves at the corner of the continent with a strong army and many chosen ones by the goddess.

However, there hasn't been a new chosen one within the Leon kingdom for the past 60 years, and the last one is at her deathbed. This was the reason why Roland saw the opportunity and began it wars with Leon, slowly taking up more and more of its land over nearly 6 years of continuous wars.

Alice looked outside the training grounds and sighed as she recalled the events of around half a month ago.

"Lieutenant Alice!" Traitor Markus saluted his superior before approaching her and speaking.

"Orders from General Von Snide!"

Alice accepted the letter and opened it reading the orders thoroughly.

"Finally…"

"Finally what?" questioned Markus as he saw the satisfied expression on Alice's face.

"Deployment orders!"

While Markus was fearing deployment, Alice's mind was somewhere else.

'Just wait for me brother. I will destroy Roland completely and bring you back. Even if it means I will become the slave to the God of Systems!'

With this resolution in mind, Alice got her battalion to gather up and gave her order. Two weeks of recovery was long enough for those who had the will to continue fighting. And for those who it was not, would be sent back to Leon as 'honourably discharged from military service due to mental of physical injury.'

In her new battalion, there were two existences which she had not seen so far in any battle. They were a priest from the Church of the Moon, and a battle mage at Rank 2, who were both specifically assigned to her for the mission she was going to complete with her battalion.

On the other hand, Mason had completely integrated himself into life at the Duke's estate.
