[Human George Bas] [Lv 8]
[Human … ] [Lv 9]
Among the 5 knights in almost full body armour, Mason saw a particularly high level.
[Human Fort Night] [Lv ??]
Up in the dimensional void, a part of Jack’s consciousness noticed the name, making Jack feel irritated as he mumbled to himself.
‘Such useless trash. How can a more useless name exist? Oh right! There is another! Sakur* from N*ruto! Kakaka. Equally useless pieces of trash’
Back in Mason’s view, he notices the levels of all the goblins were pathetically low. Compared to the knights in full body armour.
[Goblin Gobru] [Lv 4]
[Goblin Gobra] [Lv 6]
And then there was the larger goblin.
[Hobgoblin Hobta] [Lv ??]
Mason also notices that the burly man with [??] level and the hobgoblin with [??] level were not participating in the battle, but were just staring at each other.
The other goblins were being massacred by the rest of the 5-man squad.
Just as Mason was wondering on what to do, a notification popped up on his interface.
=================
Survival Quest: Goblin encounter
On your way to the capital, you have encountered a small-scale tribe of goblins led by a hobgoblin. Help your escorts to deal with the goblins.

Goblins killed: 0/1
Reward: None, since this is a survival quest, and not a direct quest
=================
Looking at the quest, Mason thought of something quickly.
‘Even though there is no reward from the quest, I get exp from killing the goblins, which are all red!’
Thinking this far, Mason raised his finger and aimed it at one of the goblins in the back.
*Baang*
A resounding gunshot sound echoed in the battlefield, stunning everyone present, and pulling the two [Lv ??] creatures out of their ‘glare off’.
The people around Mason in the carriage were holding their hearing in shock, and had retreated many steps back.
Just as the goblin that Mason had aimed at fell back as a corpse with nothing between the shoulders and the legs, missing the entirety of its stomach, another goblin which was right behind it and was crouching, down, had most of its body blown away. Along with the two goblins, the empty ground behind them had a deep line engraved into it, spraying dirt everywhere.
Seeing the scene, Mason was rather shocked.
‘The spell worked at this distance as well?’
Mason was currently around 10 meters away from the goblins he had killed, and looking at the trail behind them, it lasted for around 20 meters in total distance.
What shocked Mason even more was that the power of the spell was even higher than the one he had used against the white wolf, which had taken 2 shots to kill.
At this moment, a notification popped up.
==============
Note: The spell has increased in power and range due to your improved state of mind and body. All magic improves when the mind is calm, and the body is well.
==============
Seeing this notification, Mason understood the reason for the increased power. He also understood an underlaying principle. The path of a mage is one of calmness, logic, and control over enemies and oneself.
One of the guards, who had just had a portion of his goblins cleared out turned around for a second and yelled,
“Did you launch that magic, respected Mage?”
Unconsciously, Mason nodded and said “I can do it only one more time.”
“Alright! Please use it on the hobgoblin as soon as you can!” said the man as he turned back to massacre the incoming goblins who flooded in to fill the gap.
Mason looked over at the hobgoblin who also coincidentally turned his gaze away from the [Lv ??] Fort Night.
Mason raised his hand towards the hobgoblin calmly, which was nearly 13 meters away from his location.
Realising the impending danger, the hobgoblin raised its large wooden club in front of its face, to protect its head and brain.
However, little did it know that Mason’s aim was his heart, and not his face.
*Baang*
Another resounding bang echoed in the battlefield.
