While Heron was finally gaining some water to drink after being thirsty for days and was gulping down his first sips of water under the blistering afternoon sun, Alice had already prepared to go to sleep in the commander tent.

It was a little awkward, since none of the commanders other than William and Jon knew her, and she too did not know anyone else, so everyone was just silent for a while before they all went to sleep.

The next morning, was the day everyone would begin training to prepare for their departure in the next few days.

Waking up early thanks to the alarm feature in the in-built clock, Alice quickly packed up her thinks and tidied her bed before leaving the tent in silence to begin her training. This was the normal routine she used to follow earlier as well, but that was just a habit, and she would miss out on many occasions. But now, she had received a Survival quest from the God of Systems.

Since she had been given this quest, she would do it. Whether the chance was even 0.1, it was effectively a free stat point for doing what she usually did.

In reality however, it was not a free stat point, but it was just a method for her to improve her physique, and thereby automatically increase her stats. There was not consumption of CP or exp involved in this process.

Nearly 1 hour later, Alice had finally completed all the morning training, and was now returning to get her new clothes to wear after she would take a shower, since her current clothes were covered in sweat and sticking to her body.

Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.

Inside the tent, the other captains were still waking up, and barely caught a glimpse of her before she took her clothes and showering materials and disappeared from the tent.

Naturally, there were no showers in the sent, but clean water was provided in buckets to be used.

Twenty minutes later, Alice arrived at the tent to find it completely empty. Confused, she walked out in her fresh training clothes, and found the answer after looking towards the training grounds, which was a little further away from the temporary camp.

She looked around and soon spotted a group of people who were not doing anything, recognising them as her squad as she went over to train them.

Meanwhile, Jack had already decided to let those two players enjoy themselves for the time being.

He had also given the same survival quest to Mason, with many differences. Jack did not have to jog or do push ups, but he had to instead meditate for at least 1 hours every day. Jack knew this was a useless action, but it would make Mason feel like he was moving towards a particular goal. And on top of that, who knows? Jack had simply told Mason to sit still in a comfortable position and think about nothing for 2 hours every day. And it might even be useful like the ones Jack had read about in all the comics back on Earth.

Currently, Jack had nearly no CP left after he used it all to create another system for Heron, and giving him the 20CP skill.

Now, Jack was just chilling in his cage of nothingness, thinking about what to do now.

‘I could just go around randomly helping people who are about to die, expending a lot of CP each time to bring them back into fighting condition. But as the process suggested, that would waste a lot of CP.’

Jack began contemplating and time passed incredibly fast. To Jack himself, it was but a moment since he had gone through the hell like eternity before being destroyed and reconstructed. To the people on the prime-plane, a week had already passed.

Jack finally came to a realisation.

He needed to create a church just like all the other gods which would establish its own reputation and attract followers from everywhere who would receive his blessings and turn into his Cp making machines- ahem, players.

‘But to do that, I need to find a suitable candidate who is good at crowd control instead of only fighting.’

With such intents, Jack god searching on the prim-plane for such a person.

At this moment, Alice and her squad, who had finally completely accepted her as their captain after being beaten innumerable times in combat, even when they all grouped up on their captain, were departing their temporary base.

Simply put, Alice’s current power was greater than her whole squad combined.

Furthermore, they could not linger over the death of their original captain forever. This was war, and things like death were as common as the flies that invaded the battlefields in swarms.

The Leon Kingdom was finally beginning its retaliation against the Kingdom of Roland, stating from this frontline.

In another part of the world, Heron the beastkin was still wandering in the sand dunes. However, he had already gained 4 levels in this one week, by killing off one of the sand-beasts which was trying to hunt him.

Sand beast were giant worm-like creatures with large spinning razor sharp teeth inside its circular mouths which are meant to crush any obstacles in its way as it burrows through the hot sand and kills its exhausted prey.

The creatures were on average at level 6, and the one Heron had killed was level 9. Naturally, Jack had very graciously stolen half of the exp and converted it to CP. Now, he had around 40 CP.

With this much CP, Jack could create a whole new type of system for his chosen one to build his church.

At this moment, Mason had finally arrived outside the gates of Ferdin, the capital of the kingdom of Bard.
