There are three new Royal Road stories I took a look at recently and thought I'd share. As you can imagine, the writers' community here is really good at supporting each other as we all learn and grow in our skills. I would like to share the links to some newer fictions that I thought were interesting, but! But like Wizard's Tower is unpolished in a lot of ways, these stories also are in the beginning stages, too.
Therefore, three new stories that caught my eye are hereby presented in a roundabout fashion:
So, last night was a weird night. I took a walk, and it just so happened that while I was out, I ran into a wizard's apprentice. It was hard to tell at first, not because he was blind, but because he carried a sword for some reason. I guess he was just the type of kid to develop a Sense for Magic.
I was headed, of course, to a tavern where I knew two men were drinking. One, a researcher, and the other, a traveler from another world deep in conversation about qi and levels. Unfortunately, I got there too late, and the place was almost closed--so I just ordered a shot of the local whiskey, a brand called Long Fang (comparable to Crab Fighter tequila), and left to go back home.
You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version.
Edit: Title of this story has been changed to something else. I was not consulted in the title change and bare no liability for confusion on the matter. Mostly because tequila limits liability.
Of course, one doesn't wander through the city at night unless you go through the underground market. And, as we all know, you don't go through the market unless you at least seriously consider buying something. So, being the enjoyer of looking intently at elaborate paintings with no intent whatsoever to purchase that I am, I came across a painting called the Pantheon of Ten and stared at it for a least half an hour. It's right next to a work called Dragon Marine. Might be worth looking at if you find yourself there, too.
Edit: don't know if this author is still writing this story, looks like it went on Hiatus. I hope the author continues to write even if it isn't this story. If you check it out and enjoy it knowing that it's unfinished, please send some words of encouragement!
Then I went home. =)
