Special thanks to argusthecat, author of Daily Grind, for his shoutout. I was surprised and thrilled! While my first thought was to google magical circles that could bring staplers to life as a thank you... I've found that those are unexpectedly difficult rituals to perform. So instead, I offer a shoutout back:
If you've ever worked in an office building and noted a door that would make an excellent location for a dungeon of murderous living office equipment, then his story might be for you. You can find the nearly three thousand pages worth of highly-rated, well-written novel here.

When I originally planned to write Wizard's Tower, I was planning it as a base-building novel. But, as many authors can tell you, sometimes when you begin writing your project takes on a life of its own. And Wizard's Tower surely did for me. While there will still be a lot of base-building (and magical experiments, political shenanigans, and complex mysteries), it is--intentionally--a slow burn to get there. My hope that affects the depth and breadth of the novel making it something that feels elaborate and entertaining for readers.
But, if as a reader, you want some base-building right now, then The Houndsman is another enjoyable ongoing fiction here on Royal Road worth checking out.
EDIT: The Houndsman is now only available on Amazon! Congratulations to the author! Click here if you want the Amazon version.

I wanted to thank Wutosama, author of Metaworld Chronicles, for the shoutout yesterday!
I originally attempted to order a mandala from Australia to summon a magical familiar that could deliver a thank you card, but the order went through a third-party company that sent me a bag of goat hair. While there may be profound and magical uses of aged goat hair that I am unaware of, I believe that the truth is closer to me clicking the wrong thing during checkout.
So, instead of my original plan, I offer a shoutout back:
Metaworld Chronicles is a web serial that follows Gwen, an enterprising and intelligent youth with the power to summon armies of void leeches as she navigates the complex political, military, and economic industries of an alternate earth. With more than 6600 well-written pages, this story has readers from all over the world, and a few simple lines here just cannot do it justice. If interested in learning more, you can find it here.
Or you can get the book on Amazon: here.

So, in the name of pleasant surprises, I got one yesterday. The author Arcs of the web serial Ar'Kendrithyst, gave this story a shoutout last night. Totally unexpected! But very much appreciated.
So, as a thank you, I downloaded like five different apps to try to see how to use magic to construct a phonograph and record a thank you I could send that way. Unfortunately, those apps required math. Why? How? Idk.
So... Given how spectacularly I failed at being able to thank Arcs, the Secret Wizard, I'd like to offer at shoutout back:
If you're looking for a good portal fantasy with a fleshed out world, intricate system, wizards, magic, politics, shades of gray (mwahaha), and much much more, then you might wanna consider giving Ar'Kendryst a look. At more than 5500 pages and 1.8 million views, it's got plenty worth sinking your teeth into. Your metaphorical mind teeth, I don't advocate chewing the inedible. reading.
