Chapter 29

I was on discord the other day when someone mentioned a new addition to Royal Road called Wayfinder, and I got curious and decided to check it out.

After I read what was available, I had trouble thinking of a good way to say thank you. Well, I thought of plenty of GREAT ways, but my new ankle monitor put some major limitations on me. Yet, I don't easily give up, not when I set my mind to something. Unless, of course, I think of something else, but that's my prerogative. I even made a list of these great ideas. In the bathroom, where the spycams can't see them. I ended up flushing it, though. Not because I couldn't do them if I put my mind to it, but because it's really, really hard to read stuff written on toilet paper.

Ankle-monitor limitations aside, I decided that the best way to thank the author for his new addition to the Royal Road library was to find him a job on a farm, so he could then grow to be an adventurer. Unfortunately, most US farms weren't hiring. The closest available position was in Guatemala. So I paid some internet company to kidnap him and fly him down there. And just so he wouldn't give up and come back easily, I talked with some of the surveillance team that moved into the house next door to make sure that they kept him on the no-fly list.

The author's narrative has been misappropriated; report any instances of this story on Amazon.

Now some of you are probably thinking, 'well he could just hitchhike back' and my answer to that is... that would be outside of my control. And, I know, I know, the rest of you are thinking 'what a great opportunity! I wish I could go too!' but I regret to say the kidnappers didn't return to the states. In fact, now that I think about it, I'm not entirely sure if they really took him to Guatemala. Eh. Somewhere else is as good as there, I'm sure. Adventure!

Hmm.... or maybe not. I should do a shoutout just in case.

Wayfinder is an interesting addition to Royal Road. Kinda like a Pathfinder game being written, with the rolls of events and everything.
